Second impression, second visit, they close at Noon on Saturday. I find this out as I return to pick up my item that I left at "first impression" and walk in at 11:50 to be told, "we're closing." I was only there to Pick up my item! Still couldn't help, as they "had to close" I work 8-6 Mon-Fri, so Saturday's are my only chance to get to this place because they're not open past 6:00, only now to find out they don't want you there even when there's still 10 min left for them to be open, hence you being an inconvenience to them. 3rd impression, I arrive early today, Saturday, well before noon, to only find a sign on the door saying they're Closed due to the 4th of July and won't open again until the 13th. I completely understand people have vacations, but how about you UPDATE YOUR WEBSITE, so customers like me don't have to drive that far only to find out they're closed from a piece of paper. Once I'm able to pick up my item, there won't be another impression. Sadly I was told by others this is how they operate with the attitude and no sense of urgency, but I ignored based on they're the one place around that apparently repair a certain brand. It's like they know this and operate that way. More than frustrated.

Monday morning I went by D&L, they asked what they could help with. I showed them the coil and a picture of the oven model number, they looked it up in their system, but didn't have any on hand. But they were able to bring in a factory direct coil from their Charlotte warehouse the next day. Pricing was certainly higher than what I found online, but turn around time was much quicker, and being an official replacement part I had more confidence in the quality. Great spot to know about to get parts to fix any appliance, and always good to support local!

While in the store, Stacey also demonstrated the Nellie Wow Mop which I was interested in for cleaning and polishing hardwood and tile floors. They offer a lot of tools, like hedge clippers in a variety of price points from, but it's important to keep in mind you get what you pay for. I ended up getting the more expensive, version of the loppers they offered. They had a cheap version at $15, and more expensive version at $50. The more expensive offered life time guarantee, so that's why i went with them. The cashier told me the lifetime warranty will cover anything, damage, going dull, breaking, i just need to bring them back with the receipt, and they will replace them. My only interaction with the staff was at checkout. The attendant was friendly and able to answer my questions about the warranty. I'd go here to get more yard tools, but again, just be cautious of the pricing being too good to be true, there's usually a reason

Not so with Queen City. They delivered a Whirlpool fridge to me that didn't cool. They kept saying to wait 24 hours--nothing. I kept getting tossed around from the Charlotte store, where Queen City is based to the Greensboro store, trying to resolve the issue, but it took six days to "resolve"--and by that I mean I cancelled the order altogether. Customer service would say they'd call me back but never did. Not one person apologized for the inconvenience to me or for their shoddy response to their defective product. I bought the same fridge at Lowe's and it hasn't given me a problem. Their customer service was top notch, too. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM QUEEN CITY.
