There was no enthusiasm in showing us how to set up for the golf or how to play, basically you are on your own. We decided we wanted something to drink, but had to find the bartender who was playing golf (once again, automatic gratuity) and seemed frustrated that she had to stop playing to work. There's a bit of a learning curve at first, especially adjusting to the pitch timing and actually putting the ball in play. You can choose how many innings to play and select from four difficulty levels: Very Easy, Easy, Pro, and All-Star. Very Easy was almost effortless, Easy felt like a good balance with some solid hits and home runs, and Pro was extremely challenging (basically no-hit territory.) I didn't even attempt All-Star. Pitch speeds ranged from about 40-60 mph, which worked well for me, and you can adjust them to find your comfort zone. When you're not batting, there are a few on-screen options, but they're pretty limited - adding more interaction for the non-batting team would make the experience even better. Overall, it's a cool concept and probably will be back again.

My family and I have been members of Life Time Frisco for several years, and unfortunately I've…read morebecome increasingly disappointed with the value we're receiving for the amount we pay. When we originally joined, our family membership was around $280/month, and we were under the impression that our rate would be grandfathered. Since then, our dues have continued to increase and are now approaching $450/month for our family of three. I understand that costs increase over time, but when membership dues increase this significantly, I also expect the services and amenities included with that membership to remain consistent--or improve. Instead, I was just informed after my spin class that Life Time Frisco is eliminating spin classes altogether. This is extremely disappointing because spin is one of the primary classes I regularly take, along with yoga and strength training. The variety and quality of classes have always been a major part of what justified the cost of our membership. There have also been other frustrations. This summer, we went to the pool on a Sunday afternoon expecting to be able to order food from the café, only to find it closed with no one working. There have also been multiple occasions when the dry sauna has been out of order. Any one of these things by itself might not seem significant, but collectively they are frustrating when a family is paying nearly $450 every month. We've remained loyal to Life Time for years because we have genuinely enjoyed being members. However, other gyms have continued to reach out to us, and at this point we are seriously considering whether it makes sense to switch to somewhere that provides more value for the price. When the price of a premium membership continues to increase while services and amenities are being reduced, it's difficult not to question the value. I really hope Life Time Frisco listens to its long-term members and takes a serious look at whether the experience being provided still matches the premium price being charged.
