This place is great! My husband and I wanted something active to do together that wasn't the usual hiking/biking/climbing that is so common in Colorado & we Love coming to D Bat to get a good sweat in and up our batting skills. Going to look into a co-Ed league next season because we have enjoyed it so much. facility is always super clean and the swipe cards for pitching machines is super convenient. worth every penny for the membership, even if you only make it there once a week. read more

I had a very disappointing experience at the D-Bat in Lafayette. I reserved and paid for a batting cage several hours in advance. When I arrived early to check in, I was assigned a cage number. However, when I went to the cage, it was still occupied by two boys. I returned to the front desk and was told that I could use the cage once my reservation time began. At exactly 5:00 p.m., I informed the boys that I had reserved the cage for that time. Instead of leaving, they argued that they didn't know their time was up and refused to leave until a D-Bat employee told them to. It should never have been my responsibility to enforce my own reservation. When an employee finally came over, she didn't immediately ask them to leave. Instead, she asked what was going on, and the boys continued making excuses, saying they forgot to check their phone and no one had warned them that their session was ending. Rather than ending the conversation and having them vacate the cage, the discussion continued while my paid reservation time was ticking away. What was most frustrating was how the situation was handled. The employee repeatedly checked to make sure the boys were okay, but never once acknowledged the inconvenience to me or apologized for the delay. As the paying customer whose reservation was being interrupted, I deserved more. After the boys finally left, I asked if my reservation could be extended so I would receive the full hour that I had paid for. I was told no because it would interfere with the next reservation. While I understand they needed to stay on schedule, the fact remains that I did not receive the full hour I purchased because D-Bat failed to ensure the previous customers left on time. The staff at the front desk also appeared uninterested in resolving the issue or making it right. There was no concern for the poor customer experience. In the end, my daughter lost part of the batting time I had paid for because another group refused to leave and the staff failed to enforce the reservation schedule. Good customer service means taking ownership when something goes wrong and making a reasonable effort to resolve it. Unfortunately, that did not happen here. I don't expect perfection, but I do expect a business to honor the service I paid for and treat customers fairly. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this location. read more

Great place to spend time with my daughter. Especially on a rainy day. This is the only place I take my daughter for batting practice.

Do not get a membership they will do everything to let you get out of it . canceled and terminated in January and still got billed in march .reached out to them and said they had not received cancelation e mail 3 weeks later no response walked in to facility and SPOKE TO DAVE DUSZA asked for update or refund for the month of march with cancelation on my phone was told to resubmit cancelation and i HAD TILL NEXT BILLING CYCLE OR I WOULD BE BILLED AGAIN. very unprofessional will take business elsewhere read more

Very friendly staff. The soft toss and tee cages are nice. The pitching machines have a lot of pitch selections, however it would be nicer if there were more than 3 bays with pitch machines. read more

I give 4 stars for friendly front desk, cleanliness and excellent equipmen. I give 2 stars for how a situation was handled: My 12 year old daughter was invited, by a friend and her mother (whom were members) to the batting cages at D-Bat on March 13th. They checked in at the front uneventfully and proceeded to the batting cages. After batting for a while, the manager Dave Dusza approached them and told my daughter, who was wearing an athletic tank top, she needed to cover her shoulders. When asked why he said it's a Covid rule. My daughter's friend's mom thought that was very strange but didn't argue because he said it was D-Bats Covid-19 policy. She texted me explaining what happened and she would let my daughter wear her flannel! Both 12 year old girls felt uncomfortable by this and felt embarrassed my daughter was asked to cover up when the tank top in question was absolutely appropriate and in fact I picked it out for my daughter because it was hot that day! So they left. I thought it was ridiculous and went right over to hear about this policy in person. Dave told me in a convincing way it was a policy due to Covid. I also didn't argue but had such confusion as I've never heard this in all the research I've done on Covid in the last 2 years. I sent an email asking to see this written policy as it was no where on their website, front door or knowledgeable at the front desk- in fact when I asked the front desk if there was a dress code he said "no, just close toed shoes". Here is the manager Dave's reply to my email: "As we explained when you asked at the front desk - as part of the COVID-19 compliance plan we had to file with the City of Lafayette and then Boulder County, there is a laundry list of items we had to agree to in order to be compliant and allow patrons to remain mask free while in the cage spaces.   Part of that filing included "no exposed shoulders, no tank tops, no midriff tops, no exposed sports bras, or otherwise cutoff clothing" Your daughter was offered a loaner T-shirt if needed in order for us to be compliant with the county rules imposed on our facility,and she ended up borrowing a friend's shirt instead. Being compliant with the COVID rules in no way affected her ability to hit and participate in the facility. The info is posted on our app and we will make sure it is more prominently featured on the website as well. " Thanks for your inquiry Dave and Jennifer Dusza I then contacted Boulder County and the City of Lafayette, and explained the situation, they both confirmed there has NEVER been a Covid-19 compliance plan in place regarding a dress code besides masks. I forwarded both emails to Dave, Jennifer Dusza, and someone else from D-Bat and never got a reply. They have since updated their app to include a facility dress code: Shoulders must be covered, no tank tops or mid drift shirts, no exposed sports bras....not a single mention of this Covid policy he vehemently insisted was the reason for covered shoulders. Since Dave, Jennifer or anyone else at D-bat has had the responsibility, respect or integrity to respond to my emails explaining the situation with facts and truth, I have to make the assumption that D-Bats dress code is targeting females, which is not ok. We will not be returning and will most definitely share our experience with the IPGSA (Indian Peaks Girls Softball Association) and Erie girls softball league as this is not the kind of treatment our softball girls should receive. read more
