DC's is usually a safe spot to stop at when you want a quick bite. This last time I visited, the service was slow and there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. The food was just ok, nothing to rave about. I had the Cobb Salad and some of the lettuce was not fresh. The crawfish queso was pretty good, so that's a plus. They're been in business for decades, and there's a reason they are a popular choice for both locals and visitors. As the name suggests, they have a sports bar area and an outdoor seating area. However, if you want neither of these, there is regular seating in the back. It's a large establishment and can host your group or smaller party. It's known for its seafood as well as the steaks, and both are good choices. Most entrees come with a nice salad and choice of side. I recommend both the grilled catfish and grilled grouper! The steaks are very good, and worth having if you are in more of a turf mood. Then they have some Cajun options as well as po-boys and other sandwiches. It's a well rounded menu! The service is always good, and you'll see why the parking lot is often filled with customer vehicles. It's certainly a place you should have on your agenda when you are in town. read more

I've been visiting DCs for at least 20 years. We've always been pretty happy but the last couple of times were not great experiences. My husband and I ate here two days ago and the service was terrible...the food was even worse. Our server was friendly enough but it was almost impossible to get anyones attention as they were all busy chatting near the center. I had the crawfish eutoffee with extremely old, mushy rice and over-the-top greasy bread that could've been days old. My husband had the catfish and eutoffee poboy which he said was barely edible. Hours later, we both felt a bit ill. Last but not least, please-please-please replace the napkins that you wrap the silverware in, it's gotta be at least 10 years old and I'd imagine not so sanitary at this point. read more

I am writing this review to warn other potential diners about my recent horrifying experience at DCs. During my meal, I witnessed several roaches crawling on the table where I was seated. This is completely unacceptable and poses a serious health risk to customers. To further support my claim, I checked the latest health inspection data for DCs on Yelp. the Some of the recent reviews reveal issues with pests/rodents. This data confirms that the restaurant has a history of health code violations, which further undermines my confidence in their ability to maintain a safe and sanitary environment for their patrons. I urge potential diners to exercise extreme caution when considering dining at DCs. We came in today after softball games with the grandkids to eat DC's sports bar and restaurant. The waitress came right away for our drink order and appetizers. She seem to be the only running talbes. We were needing more cokes and sweet tea it took her forever to get back to us. We walked in at 5 minutes to 2 and didn't get our food till 3:15 ... we were ALL ready to walk out. Got up to go to rest room and it was needing some real attention, some had blown up the the handicap toilet and onto the floor. Paper towels were everywhere it was not clean at all. We have eaten here 3 or 4 times and all was good BUT today June 7, 2025 was a different story. We learned our lesson today and will let anyone at the softball field not to come to this restaurant. It was well over 100.00 which was OK ... if the wait had not been so long and the bathrooms would have been clean. Also a man and women came in after we had been there about 20 minutes and they got their food right out before ours. Sorry DC'S restaurant you are not what you used to be. Lesson learned. read more

What a treasure - if you ask me what I miss most about Louisiana it's promise restaurants like this. This is definitely not your traditional sports bar by any means or steakhouse and certainly not a restaurant on the tourist circuit it's a simple hometown restaurant / bar that serves up some damn good food. After spending most the day with my parents reminiscing about the good ole days and visiting the old homesites and neighborhoods l grew up in and around and where my father spent his childhood it was nice to land here for some good cajun food. Some might say this place is rundown I say it's a little worn and a little dark and that's okay, we were seated as soon as we arrived and several servers greeted us as we found our seats. Lexy took the lead and made sure everyone was comfortable and then quickly grabbed our drink orders and return to see if we had any questions with the menu. I decided to start out with a cup of crawfish étouffée - the photos don't do it justice but it wasn't without issue, the seasoning was spot on but it was a little thick which was probably just the results of simmering on the stove, the ratio of crawfish to gravy was good but the gravy was far from being enough to adequately cover the amount of white rice stuffed in the bottom of the cup my dad and I both agreed great taste but way to much rice for the gravy. Everyone got a salad - simple fresh made with your choice of dressings on the side, if you like ranch try the jalapeño ranch delicious but it will light you up. Dad and I ordered the hamburger steak covered in gravy with grilled onions we both omitted the mushrooms - this hamburger steak was unbelievable, cooked to perfection with a little crunch on the exterior and moist inside. It's almost impossible to find a hamburger steak of this quality anywhere nowadays if you are a extremely picky eater but love this dish I highly recommend trying it. My mom loves catfish when it's done right - so the girls both ordered the catfish platters fried crispy. Of course there were much to many fillets for them not to share and OMG - best fried catfish ever!!! We had a wonderful experience here and the servers were all super friendly and attentive and the food far exceeded our expectations and this is something I hope to repeat again one day, but I do need to retract my initial statement about what I miss most about Louisiana - it's family definitely family.. read more

Returned to DC's with family when traveling through to Breaux Bridge for a Friday lunch. We sat (party of 5 1/2 outside on patio because it was a nice weather day. We were seated but had to wait about 10 mins before our drink order was taken. We ordered appetizer with drink order. When server returned with drinks two in our party ordered their entrees and another person ordered a side salad. Then about five minutes later the remainder of our group (3 1/2) placed their entree orders. Still no appetizer. Salads were brought out, followed by the first two entrees. Appetizer was brought out as first two entrees Finally about 15 mins after first couple received their order, the remainder of orders were delivered. Baked potato was cold, so server was immediately told. She commented she thought warmer wasn't working properly and took the potato back. I fully expected them to return with a microwaved potato. They didn't to my surprise and brought a fresh piping hot, delishly cooked loaded potato. Service was extremely slow and as mentioned above.. when I order an appetizer ahead of all other items I anticipate it'll be served in advance of all other items. Our group ordered fried crab fingers appetizer, garden salad, crab and corn bisque, fried catfish/fries special, grilled shrimp wrap with fries and kids cod dog w/fries. All were pretty tasty. The crab fingers were smaller than in past. Crab and corn bisque was ok, could have used more seasoning. Grilled shrimp wrap was served as two smaller wraps instead of one larger. I really did love this place however after bringing a Native American summer intern from the Navajo Nation unfortunately I will not be returning. They accidentally brought her alligator bites instead of catfish bites which in her culture cannot eat reptiles. Instead of crediting anything due to their ignorance and her having to throw up the alligator they still felt it was necessary to charge her for her entree. They said her entree was ok and they took the alligator away so everything should be fine not also recognizing she had to throw up outside. I don't expect other peoples' cultures to be respected and understood however I do hope in the future people will become more empathetic and sincere about their mistakes and saying just "I'm Sorry" does not always work especially in a customer service environment. read more

Excellent food. It was crawfish season so I had the crawfish etouffee which was so delicious. I also had the crawfish queso which was a unique spin to the traditional queso. The oyster po boy was also fresh and delicious. I couldn't finish the whole meal but loved what I could eat. read more

This restaurant never fails with the catfish. I stop here everytime I'm here as nd I always order the catfish because it is always excellent. The owner must catch it himself because it doesn't taste farm raised as it isn't spongy, very firm and delicious. If I lived close I'd visit much more often. I recommend this restaurant highly. Food is decent, nothing amazing or worth driving extra far. Atmosphere is bar-like with low lighting and a casual feel. The staff is absolutely terrible. Rude, short and obviously untrained. Bartenders/waitresses were unfamiliar with the menu and what came with what. My order was wrong and our waitress/bartender was unapologetic and seemed annoyed. When overhearing is mentioning a liquor, she offered us to "try" the shot she was making, yet she charged us for a shot on the bill. Having been a waitress and bartender nearly all of my late teens and twenties, this is not the norm. If I lived in Eunice I'm sure I would deal with it because there aren't many other options. But I definitely wont be making a special trip. read more

Went their last night. WAYY to overpriced, it was hot, and the service was mediocre. I'm from LA and the food was WAY too spicy. Portion sizes were average. Got the DC's Cajun Catfish and 4 shrimp for $2. The shrimp was not even hot by the time it got to the table. We ordered a kids meal fish and it was overly spicy that we had to send it back and ask for no seasoning. It's a good place to meet up with a group of people but the prices don't add up to the amount of food. Not a huge fan this time. read more

I had high hopes for this place because it always looks packed. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing, maybe I'm just a better cook than who they have cooking there.... Whatever you do DO NOT order the roast beef poboy. It's not what you think. It's warmed up deli roast beef and a slice of Kraft cheese. If I'm going to spend $30 on lunch I expect better than what I can make in my own kitchen. It was disappointing. They should remove it from the menu entirely.
