    Pasta with shrimp.

Was a busy Sunday! Service excellent. All enjoyed our meals.. Appetizers of calamari, mozzarella sticks and fried ravioli great. Like that meals included salad and side of pasta. Casual atmosphere.

Such good food!! The environment is awesome, typical Italian vibes! I love their salads and the food is always excellent.

Calamari, they were nice enough to give us both the marinara sauce and sweet chili sauce!

I've been coming to d'italia with my family for as long as I can remember. It's a little Italian gem hidden on route 35. They are a pizzeria with a small dining area. They have a huge following so the dining room tends to be crowded especially on weekends. You can call ahead to make reservations, which I absolutely suggest even for weeknights to be on the safe side. The food here is so delicious, they have a perfect red sauce that isn't too sweet and also not too herby. Their house balsamic dressing is the best I've ever had, hands down! It's creamy and vinegary and just perfect. I've had wraps, salads and classic Italian (American) dishes, all have been cooked perfectly and very tasty. My favorite menu item is the Tortellini Al Forno, but they always have great specials and really you just can't go wrong at D'italia!

Moving my rating up to 3.5 stars based on recent meals! Ordered a Greek salad with shrimp for lunch today. Got 5 decent-sized shrimp atop a smaller, and a little sandy, salad! Enjoyed the roll they often send along. Have not had anything other than lunch takeout from d'Italia, but a solid choice for a decent lunch!

Nice crowd for a Saturday... This time (November) we were a group of 14. Italian and a BYOB again like last month, but highly recommended for this round. Popular appetizers were Coconut Shrimp & Garlic Shrimp Bruschetta along with those mussels. (Sorry no photo). :) Main entrees for her the Butternut Squash Raviolis. While I went for a grouper, which was over mashed potatoes with cranberries and spinach. Portions here are very hearty. If coming for dinner, expect to have leftovers. Service was excellent by our server named Nicole. Cost per person after tip about $35. Keep in mind not everyone had an appetizer. Dessert, no change. Do make reservations on the weekend. USC#3

Wire in my food . I ordered chicken . Didn't know it was wired chicken

Don't know what's going on at this place but definitely not somewhere I'll eat again. Ordered the chicken and found a big piece of metal wire in my food which I also posted here. You would think after taking a bite of something that could've potentially caused me a lot of health problems after swallowing , would warrant a free of charge bill. Nope... they just nonchalantly took off THAT one item like it's no big deal. Thanks but no thanks, never again. That plate of chicken was wired more than an informant sitting in a drug lords house while having a conversation with him while the FBI is listening in outside.

My son and I went to dinner in the Woodbridge area this week. We both felt like eating Italian so I suggested we go to the D'Italia restaurant on St Georges Av. due to positivity of Yelp. This place is a pizzeria and restaurant under the same roof and appeared spotless. Since it was during the week, it was easy to procure a table. The menu was quite large so we asked our server, Jimmy, to narrow down the choices. Note: you're not supposed to ask your server what they prefer because it might not be in tune to your taste , but after listening to him making various fish/meat dish selections and not mentioning any specials whatsoever, we both went for the Shrimp, Scallops Diavalo picante. Excellent choice! The salad with their homemade dressing and heated fresh rolls were also both primo. Plenty of parking, clean restrooms, BYO.

    Large cheese pizza, NO CUT!!!

We recently ate in the restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed the food the fried calamari was the best we've had in this area in 35 years we also had the pork shank osso buco and the chicken Milanese both dishes were spot on nice fresh warm bread when we sat down Caesar salads and we also tried the limoncello cake everything was so good the service was also very attentive and spot on restaurants clean plenty of spacing between people to sit so it's not too loud and as we're leaving we could just smell that pizza it smelled so good so we did it take out tonight photo is attached looks fantastic met the owner Joe great guy. We will be back as new steady customers. Too bad we did not try D'Italia sooner!

And surprisingly, this happened to be a very well known restaurant as our other coworkers knew about it! It's located across of CubaNu Restaurant & Lounge on the corner of Lewis St and Main St in downtown Rahway. There's paid street parking and parking garages around the area. My coworker and I shared their Calamari Al Forno, tossed with Italian sausage, hot cherry pepper, and balsamic glaze. And wow. Who would have thought balsamic glaze with calamari would be sooooo good! I'll definitely be ordering that combination again. The mix with the Italian sausage and cherry peppers added a nice kick to the dish. Both of us could not stop eating it even though we wanted to save room for our pastas. Our meal was off to a great start! I ordered their Linguini de Mar which was supposed to have four seafoods: shrimp, calamari, mussels, and clams. Unfortunately, mine was missing the calamari. However, the pasta was incredibly flavorful and the seafood was cooked perfectly - not overdone or underdone at all. YUM! My coworker got their Cheese Ravioli with the Bolognese sauce (unsure if it was extra as I didn't see the check). She loved her pasta as well! She's usually a light eater, but she devoured half the calamari appetizer and all of her pasta, which speaks volumes about how much she enjoyed the meal. I felt that the one downside was the unusual amount of water I drank (maybe ten cups?). This was my own personal indicator that there was definitely some sort of flavor enhancer which wasn't a negative thing. I'm not certain, but the food was very good, so kudos to them if that's the case. Overall, definitely a hidden gem! We unfortunately didn't try their pizzas/pies but this will definitely be on my list again the next time I visit. Or I may opt in for another round of calamari al forno and pasta again, haha!

We came on Valentine's Day for an early 6 PM dinner and were seated right away, which we appreciated. Then we sat for about 20 minutes before anyone even came by to take a drink order. When the waiter finally showed up, we just ordered everything at once to save time. We sat down at 6. Our appetizer didn't arrive until 6:45. Then our entrées didn't come out until 7:35. My wife ordered the surf and turf--filet mignon (medium) and a lobster tail. The filet was burnt to a crisp, look at the way they cut it to cook it, and the lobster tail was so dry and flavorless it was honestly shocking. Probably the worst lobster I've ever tasted. I ordered the stuffed filet of sole, and it was so dry I had to peel off the top layer just to get to the stuffing--which, by the way, tasted spoiled. Overall, the food was a complete disappointment, especially for a place that looks so nice.
