Gouda & Shrimp Mac n' Cheese
Brandi T.

Pretty standard food truck, I didn't think it was anything to rave about. I was at a work event that had food trucks available to eat. I've always seen the D'lish food truck at local food festivals in Houston and this is the first time I decided to try it. After take a peek at their menu, I was originally going to order one of their poutine options, but I recently got oral surgery so the things I can actually chew has become limited. So I opted for one of their mac n' cheese options, specifically the smoked gouda and shrimp mac n' cheese. Sounded yummy. I liked the cheese sauce, it had a little bit of a kick to it at the end. It wasn't gritty cheese sauce and it was super creamy. The shrimp was well cooked and wasn't rubbery. They were small shrimp but you get a good amount of them in a serving. I liked that D'lish offers 2 sizes, an appetizer and an entree size. I opted for the entree size since it was supposed to last me the whole day, that being said I should have just gotten the appetizer portion. The mac n' cheese was too heavy for me to finish.

Don't advertise tacos when you use pita bread in lieu of a tortilla. Name it something else. Plus, I was craving a delicious taco, and Htown has many other TRUE taco trucks. $47 later for 4 tacos is a bit pricey, and wasted pita bread as we just ate the filling. Pork and shrimp tasted generic. First time and most definitely last. If you really like tacos, don't think you'll get your fix with D'Lish Curbside Bistro.

Sriracha poutine with fried chicken- stay away!!

This is just an amateur truck at best. Nothing exciting at all. Bland food that is not thought of well at all. I ordered the spicy sriracha poutine with crispy chicken and it was simply fries topped with fried strips and Frank's hot sauce and that's way too far from poutine. The worst part is that I paid $13 for this trash. Never again and I don't recommend this food truck at all.

The fries knocked a star off, the burger alone woulda gotten full marks! The guy at the window was very friendly, he asked if I had any questions, I said "can you half my burger so my husband and I can share it?" He said of course and that was that! We ordered the Triple Cheese and bacon burger, next time we would double up on meat, it was delicious. Juicy but not greasy, packed full of flavour and very reasonably priced. The fries were just ok, a little over spiced and the garlic aioli was packing a lil heat too so it was all just a bit spicy for my plain-lovin hubby. Definitely going back here though, this truck makes my list!

For $16 I got 4 small pieces of shrimp, french fries and gravy. I dont care how good it taste this dish was not worth the price.

I got the Smoked Gouda & Lobster Burger. Not too bad. Toasting the bun would have made it 10x better!

I got the smoked Gouda & Lobster burger. Not too bad, a toasted bun would have made it a whole lot better. I had to eat on the fly, so I didn't get the flavor bomb that was promised. The jalapeño mayo lacked kick and as mentioned before the bun was straight from the package. They also serve poutine style fries. The pictures show crinkle cut fries, which unfortunately was a turn off. I was reminded of school lunch. I hope these guys iron out the little things that can make them a whole lot better.

The food from this truck is amazing. I was a little skeptical about ordering seafood from a food truck because I'm from south Louisiana and VERY picky about the freshness of seafood. It was great! I'm not sure if it was because the seafood was super fresh or if it was covered in cheese so I couldn't tell, but who really cares, right?! Everything was very good and I'd eat this again anytime. If you're looking for a healthy meal though, you'll need to move on to another truck because everything here is fried or covered in cheese.

Krazy Korean Fries....

Tried this place for the first time today! (It was on campus) ordered the krazy Korean fries. They were pretty good and there was so much flavor/variety on my plate. I do have to say tho it was a bit pricey. $10 for a plate of fries. Allllmmost worth it. Most likely still coming back tho.

Visited Tacos Tierra Caliente while in Houston. Timing is funny sometimes. I had just been chatting…read morewith Gretel about breakfast tacos the day we landed in Houston -- and breakfast tacos are one of my favourite things about visiting Texas. We pulled up to this food truck and, while placing our order, I instantly had the feeling that this crew knew exactly what they were doing. That impression proved to be spot on as soon as I took my first bite. The tacos were fresh, flavorful, and packed with the kind of simple, honest ingredients that make great breakfast tacos so satisfying. No gimmicks, no unnecessary fuss -- just well-executed food that delivers exactly what you're hoping for. The service was efficient, the operation ran smoothly, and it was easy to see why there was a steady stream of customers. Overall, an excellent breakfast taco stop and exactly the kind of local experience I look for when I'm in Houston. Saluti.

Luckily, this spot takes both card and cash! I got the small beef quesadilla, and it was loaded with cheese. The small quesadilla was $5.50, and it was pretty decently sized for a small. They have salsa set out at the counter, so you can pack as much as you like. The red salsa was smoky and SPICY. Very tasty if you like spice I see a lot of great reviews about this place. I would like to try their other tacos and give a more detailed review. I will be back! but for sure the quesadilla was a hit for me
