Pistachio Cafe is a cute and cozy spot that's perfect for hanging out or getting some studying done. I tried the Earl Grey Matcha and the Double Matcha. The Earl Grey Matcha had a nice blend of earthy matcha with subtle floral notes, while the Double Matcha was sweet, creamy, and great if you enjoy pistachio-flavored matcha lattes. My only critique is that both drinks were a bit sweeter than I expected. As the ice melted, they became a little watered down, so I'd recommend drinking them before that happens or asking for less ice. 4 stars overall. I really enjoyed the coffee, I ordered the original pistachio iced coffee, and it was bomb. The location is great, and there's plenty of parking, which is always a plus. I also tried the Lux bagel. It tasted good, but there was way too much cream cheese for me, so I had to scrape quite a bit off before I could enjoy it. I'm taking off one star because the customer service felt a little off. The woman at the front wasn't very friendly, and she even asked us what the price of the croissant was, which was confusing. A simple greeting, smile, and a little more attentiveness would have made the experience much better. Hospitality matters when you're working with customers. The coffee was definitely the highlight, though, and I'd come back for that pistachio iced coffee. read more

I was scrolling through a certain social media app and I saw a promotion at Pistachios and given that it was on my try list, I couldn't pass up the opportunity and stopped by. It was late in the day but the laidback decorated space was packed, music not too loud with a pleasant vibe. I asked if I could get the pistachio dream with oatmilk and the server recommended against it saying it would make the drink too sweet. I appreciated her honest advice and got the dragonfruit strawberry refresher instead. It was definitely refreshing with the perfect amount of ice to keep it cold but not water it down. I also tried one of the mini croissants which is probably what will keep me coming back. Flaky and full of high quality cheese and spices, I wish I had gotten two! The drinks and bakery items are just as good as they were at their soft launch, but wait time has improved immensely. I can tell the management prioritizes customer satisfaction. The iced pistachio latte continues to hit the spot and provides amazing pistachio flavor; there's absolutely no other substitute that I've found anywhere else. Earthy matcha taste. The drinks are a bit more sugary than I thought they would be and a little like flavored milk. I think the initial taste is good and then when the ice melts it tastes more watered down. If you drink it before it's watered down or lower the ice volume then i think it would preserve its quality. I tried the earl gray matcha and that one had a little floral flavor with the earthy matcha flavor combined. It's not one I would order again. Then I also tried the double matcha! I'm no stranger to a coffee shop so believe it holds weight when I say that this coffee shop blew me away. The shop is petite but beautifully decorated. The bathrooms are clean. The tables are cleaned often, but more than anything, I loved and I mean loved the service. As a first timer I was given the time to make a decision without feeling rushed but also guided in a direction to set me up for a delicious experience based on my taste. I originally ordered my og Cortado. Executed beautifully, I had to pop back up and order mom's cake, a cookie and a matcha. I chose a citrus variety after consulting with the Pistachio's team and it delivered. The matcha was super smooth, and not too sweet. Nice little upscale specialty coffee shop! A bit pricey, but definitely worth a try. I ended up getting a pistachio Matcha. Didn't disappoint, but I always feel like I have a hard time really tasting the pistachio flavor no matter where I have a drink with that flavoring. I guess it's kind of a mild flavor anyways. Nevertheless, I really loved my drink! I also ended up getting the mini almond croissant. A bit on the hard/crispy side. But flavor was there. Probably better to get the regular sized one. They also have this thing called the pistachio bomb, which apparently switched names from possibly being a Dubai chocolate variation. Which makes sense! Came here on a Sunday afternoon, it was packed!! The vibes were great it was not somewhere you could have some quiet time to say the least. The line wasn't too long about 4 people long, but there was no place to sit, thankfully I didn't need a seat. The vibe of this place is super chic and Instagram worthy for sure! Nice modern coffee shop. The staff was super friendly and looked happy to be there which definitely lit up the place. Parking is along the strip center so there's a good amount. If you love pistachios then this is the place for you! Made the drive here and it was worth it. It's in a shared shopping center but parking wasn't an issue for a tuesday morning. Place was a bit smaller than I thought but still was able to find seating. There was a bit of a line but we didn't wait too long to receive our drinks once we ordered. Drinks we tried: Pistachio latte hot - yes! Yes! Yes! Probably one of the best if not the best pistachio latte I have had. You can taste the pistachio and it wasn't sweet. I love that the café is located right next to HomeGoods, and every time I make a visit to Homegoods, I also always make a visit to Pistachios and vice versa LOL. I have tried their pistachio latte, everyday latte, matcha lavender, matcha mango, and mom's baked good. Their coffee drinks are on the sweeter side, but they do ask if you want to adjust the sweetness level. On the other hand, the matcha is strong and less sweet with a focus more on the matcha. My favorite is their pistachio latte, which is nutty and creamy with a hint of tartness. Their matcha lavender was a bit too heavy on the lavender side than I would have preferred, but if you really like lavender, then it would be a great choice. For the matcha mango, I would have preferred more mango puree or a bit sweetness. The Everyday Latte is the sweetest out of all the drinks, has white chocolate and is very creamy and smooth. The interior is very minimal and clean but also on the smaller side, and there is limited seating, especially on the weekends. The baristas are always nice and welcoming. I'm not typically a huge fan of pistachio, but their pistachio coffee has the right amount of nuttiness and sweetness that keeps me coming back. I really like Pistacho and their concept, but unfortunately the service and organization need a lot of improvement. The wait times are often extremely long. I've waited up to 40 minutes before simply because they ran out of ice, and today they didn't have matcha available at all. For a business that is clearly very popular and successful, I think they should be much better prepared for the amount of customers they receive. Running out of basic items like ice or matcha and having customers wait that long happens too often. Pistachios caught my eye from the very first add I saw of them. I actually love pistachio lattes so I was excited to try. The shop is cute with a variety of seating areas. The always have special menu items and this particular day it was the taro matcha. It was good but I'm not a huge matcha fan so once the flavor was gone and I was left with the earthy taste I couldn't handle it. The owner was checking in with guests and insisted on having a vanilla cold foam made for me to try. They truly take customer service to another level. I've visited this spot a few times within a week and I can confidently say that Pistachio is one of my favorite places to get coffee! The interior is well decorated with a nice ambiance. As for parking, there's a whole lot in front of the stores- it can get pretty busy but there's always more parking around the corner. Speaking of busy, I can only imagine how packed this place gets during the morning. My friend and I visited once on a Wednesday afternoon and a Sunday afternoon- both days/times were moderately busy. That being said, the wait time was around 7-10 minutes. Based on the reviews I read on here, I can totally see how some folks had to wait 30+ minutes for their beverage during peak hours. If you are planning on studying here, I would be prepared to accept the fact that there might not be a table available because the space itself isn't that big and it's usually pretty busy. My friend and I ordered their most popular drink, the pistachio latte (I personally recommend getting half the sweetness). And for people like me who usually ask for light ice in hopes of getting more coffee, this place already pre measures everything so getting light ice won't really do anything - just a heads up! The coffee is delicious. I enjoyed the nutty flavor from the pistachios and the rich roasted flavor from the coffee beans. It's been a while since I had a drink that I enjoyed so much that left me craving for more but Pistachio did it for me! As for the pastries and sweets, everything is made in house! They're poised to do such good business if they get their ordering system and hours locked in. It's right across the street from Memorial HS, target demo is within walking distance. Along with the neutral color palate and soft chairs, you have yourself and genZ/alpha hit. As mentioned the service is a little slow, came on a Sunday morning. They probably need to tighten up how they're taking and delivering orders, because the people themselves are super sweet and helpful! With how much they were hustling you can tell they are all on the same team there and pulling towards the same goal. The lattes were my favorite part. I had to go with the namesake Pistachio latte and enjoyed the cup presentation and flavor. Honestly could go half sweetness here and still get plenty of mileage on flavor. The food items felt kinda rushed and not super polished, even though the flavor was in the right place. Was excited to hear about this opening as an avid pistachio lover. It was cute inside with a fair amount of seating. No comments to give on customer service I had a pretty normal experience. I would have put a 4.5 stars if possible due to a dirty bathroom. That is just a big deal for me personally. Additionally, they had a pretty decent parking situation but it's right by a school so it did get a little crowded. I ordered a pistachio latte and it was honestly perfect. It was a smooth coffee with the right amount of sweetness and a strong pistachio flavor. I cannot wait to come back and try get another. It's been a while since Pistachio's has been opened but there's still a lot that can be improved on from a service standpoint. I came on a Sunday and the line was long. I didn't expect to wait for my order for nearly 40 minutes. The workers definitely look like they're working hard but the workflow lacks efficiency and it doesn't appear like everyone has clear roles. The worker manning the cashier would deliver food items in between transactions. As for the drink itself, I ordered the pistachio latte which is their most popular drink. The pistachio syrup was good but the coffee that they use doesn't pair well with it in my opinion. There are other pistachio lattes in Houston I'd recommend. read more

Got influenced by instagrammm. Atmosphere was really nice and modern. Good amount of seating in the cafe. What mostly caught my eye was the pastries, cookies and sweets. They had Love Croissants and of course had to get the Sausage Jalapeno croissant and the Goat Cheese Turkey Croissant. They are always a hit. Must get the Dubai Chocolate cookie (stuffed with the pistachio Kadayıf filling and milk chocolate and actual pistachio nuts). The Espresso Cookie was a bit too sweet for my taste. I think the icing is what had the espresso in it. Other than that, it was pretty much a chocolate chip cookie. They also had some diff flavor tiramisus as well that looked pretty good! For coffee, I got the Brown Sugar Rush (brown sugar shaken espresso with oat milk, it was average. Needed an extra shot of espresso). My friend Ana, who owns Atta Salon de Cafe in Puebla, Mexico messaged me, knowing that I'd be coming down, to see if I could bring her some pistachio milk because she had always wanted to try it. But I explained to her "probably not because the ones that I'd seen were refrigerated. So what I did instead was to bring her a nut milk maker so that we could make pistachio milk on the spot in her cafe. And this coincided with a dear friend of mine, who lives in Galveston, discovering that she really loved caffe latte when made with pistachio milk. So when I saw that there was a place actually called Pistachio Coffee, well, that definitely caught my attention; warranting a visit to check it out. A little road trip down I-10 to Gaylord Street, which is on the backside of the frontage road for I 10 by Echo Lane, to investigate this little slightly off the radar place today. Turns out that it's right next to the Crust Pizza which I frequent fairly regularly and also another interesting place called the Chicken Salad Chick. (A friend and I used to joke that whenever someone seemed to be writing about some teahouse anywhere in the world, there was always a sentence that said something to the effect that "the chicken salad is to die for here". So that became an in joke for us about chicken salad to die for. Even though Pistachio's calls itself a coffee shop, it currently does not open until 11 o'clock, except on Sunday. So make a note. So, to kill some time I went to my beloved Paris Baguette, up the street to sample a soufflé cheesecake , a coconut cream croissant and their fabulous Biscoff cookie buttercream doughnut. (Before heading over to the MAM thrift store, to kill some time before checking out Pistachio Coffee at 11. Pistachio Coffee was PACKED. So many people. I had to pass . I visited Pistachio's after seeing it on TikTok and wanted to give it a try. I ordered the pistachio latte and the halloumi croissant. The latte was really good (not overly sweet) and the croissant was fresh and delicious. The interior was modern yet inviting, with plenty of space to either get some work done or relax with friends. I also shared some feedback about my visit, and the owner kindly gave me a strawberry refresher on the house, which was also very good. I definitely recommend checking out this local Muslim-owned business and showing them your support. Soft opening today so hiccups are to be expected but waited over an hour for coffee and our group received our drinks at wildly different times even though we ordered sequentially. One friend finished her latte before mine even arrived. The iced pistachio lattes were yummy but my hot pistachio latte tasted like a regular oat latte. The owner was trying to turn tables by asking if we had finished eating/drinking but we hadn't received anything at all. He immediately brought over our desserts - pistachio cookie, lazy cake, and dubai chocolate. He brought over an extra dubai chocolate to thank us for our patience. The lazy cake was 10/10. He didn't come back with drinks so we took turns waiting by the counter. Throughout the wait, we saw people grab drinks off the counter and bring them back later when they realized it wasn't theirs. Would have been helpful if the staff either stacked the drinks on top of the receipts that had names or tape them to the drinks. Will likely revisit in a couple months when foot traffic and service level normalizes. read more
