At this point I asked her to file an appearance and get on zoom and ask the judge for more time. She completely threw me under the bus and bailed on me. I told her I could give her $1000 deposit to at least show up for my hearing to ask for more time but said she would not till a contract was signed and I paid the full amount. I told them to go ahead and do up a contract. They totally ghosted me. So, I had to go into my hearing without a lawyer and learn within 20 minutes of my hearing to become a lawyer. I went thru my hearing and had no Idea what to do or say. I pretty much did everything on the fly, made a ton of mistakes (as I'm not lawyer), went up against a prosecutor with years of experience and won. I could not believe it. I probably did better at my hearing then this law firm would have done. With no experience? Then I receive an email stating they were not interested in my case. Well too late....... I handled it. These people have no clue how to email or call people back. I can't believe these people have any work on how idiotic they are. Believe me don't hire them. When I got to the appointment I was asked to wait for Mr B. When I said I had an appointment for Ms Fanning, I was told that Mr B often takes her appointments. I was never told that Ms Fanning wouldn't take my appointment. The staff was very polite, however, I made the appointment two months out and talked to the staff several times and each time it was said that it was in preparation of my meeting with Ms Fanning. Never was it mentioned that Ms Fanning would not be meeting with me, or even that she worked with another lawyer. I refused the appointment with the other lawyer and walked out for two reasons. The first because I wanted to see the lawyer that was recommended to me. The second, because it was poor communication at best, deceptive at worst. Either way, it was enough to break my trust. No amount of money would make this a good choice. On a less important convenience note, the office has no marking on the outside and it isn't clear if there is a public door. Although, I was called the day before to remind me of the appointment, no help directions were given.
