This attorney will sue you for poor performance & bogus charges, especially made up, at the end of your Case. Stay away!

She worked tirelessly for a sensible, fair and unique solution, that avoided a costly and harmful invasion of privacy in court for a family member with whom I needed to have a legally-binding agreement. I could not be happier with the outcome. If you want an attorney who really listens and cares about family relationships with challenging dynamics, keeps you informed at every turn, and can provide emotional as well as legal support, you cannot do better than Francie! There are truly some remarkable attorneys out there who work from their hearts as well as their minds. Francie is one of them!

Oooh yea I'm the first review!…read more Seriously I wanted to share how great a service I have been receiving from Ms. Novar. We still have a ways to go but I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. I'm a father in another state with a daughter in Ypsi. Ms. Novar really has been working hard so I can see my daughter first Skype than visits. I can only speak on my experience but if you have been getting shafted by foc recommendations and you know you deserve more. Start putting some cash aside and hire Ms. Novar. It's worth the money, and honestly she is less expensive than alot of the other lawyers I called around to. Plus she seemed more receptive to me. She will school you on what you need to do vs what you have been doing. She is very patient (I'm sure I pushed her buttons being demanding ) and will guide you if you are willing to listen. I feel like if you're reading this it's because you need a family lawyer so let me be the first to say I would hire Ms. Novar again and again.

Suzanne R. Fanning - Our friendly staff will meet you when you arrive at the office

When I got to the appointment I was asked to wait for Mr B. When I said I had an appointment for Ms Fanning, I was told that Mr B often takes her appointments. I was never told that Ms Fanning wouldn't take my appointment. The staff was very polite, however, I made the appointment two months out and talked to the staff several times and each time it was said that it was in preparation of my meeting with Ms Fanning. Never was it mentioned that Ms Fanning would not be meeting with me, or even that she worked with another lawyer. I refused the appointment with the other lawyer and walked out for two reasons. The first because I wanted to see the lawyer that was recommended to me. The second, because it was poor communication at best, deceptive at worst. Either way, it was enough to break my trust. No amount of money would make this a good choice. On a less important convenience note, the office has no marking on the outside and it isn't clear if there is a public door. Although, I was called the day before to remind me of the appointment, no help directions were given.

Called in March to make two changes and never heard back although she promised 5 days turn around. Called Friday before Memorial weekend, she answered. Said she would call back Tuesday. Very disappointing because the reason I just didn't just use an on line template for about $50 was to have revisions implemented over time.

I have never dealt with such an unethical Lawfirm as Smith Haughey Rice and Roegge. Attorney…read moreRachael Roseman from their Lawfirm completely misrepresented herself and her fees. She deposed my 87 year old Mother with dementia. She billed over $37,000 for one month without any warning how excessive her fees were. During my relationship with this Lawfirm I never received visitation with my Mother. I was billed $12,000 for depositions that were completely unnecessary. As soon as I became aware of their unethical billing practices I terminated them. They completely took advantage of my vulnerability and my desperation to see my ailing elderly Mother. My son was also suffering from an inoperable brain condition and they used my vulnerability to advise me to do unnecessary work to increase their billable hours. I would never hire anyone from this firm they are nothing but ambulance chasers in my opinion and will go to any length to increase their profits. I did not have $37,000 to pay them. I gave them a $5,000 retainer and was never asked for additional funds until my fees accumulated over $37,000. They misrepresented themselves to the court, to me, and to the opposing counsel. Knowing I did not have that kind of money they let my Attorney fees accrue as they added $400 a month in late fees. They waited for the statute of limitations for mal practice to run out and for Attorney Rachael Roseman to retire And sued me for $54,000. I won guardianship on my own of my Mother and she lives with me full time. Judge Christina Elmore granted me a jury trial for the $54,000 and I was charged $80.00. The Lawfirm filed for Summary Disposition and Judge Elmore granted it without reading my Opposition or taking any of my evidence into consideration. She accepted an affidavit about my legal fees from an accountant, not Attorney Roseman who would have had direct knowledge. Their was sold evidence of Attorney misconduct and possible fraud and she ignored all and granted Summary Disposition for the $54,000. I will most definitely be writing to the Attorney Grievance Commission as well as the Judicial Tenure Commission for Judicial misconduct.
