Expensive special order sectional sofa... Expensive special order Mayo sectional sofa Model 4087. Sewn on back pillows - see pictures of second replacement sofa attached--are "stuffed" irregularly and could not be repaired. Mayo determined that the first sofa was unacceptable and the defects were caused by new "stuffing" factory equipment. Huh???? What about quality control???? I had more than one conversation with Chris McCall, owner of DT McCalls. Among other representations, Chris McCall was personally going to be sure the replacement sofa was acceptable. He told me he had spoken to Steve Mayo, CEO of Mayo Brothers and that Mayo would personally approve shipment and quality control. I expressed concern about my $2000 payment and whether I should put a hold on it until I received a presentable sofa. Chris McCall was adamant about his integrity and standing behind his company's service. He felt and expressed in multiple instances his 39 years in the business and community. Mayo took several weeks and delivered a replacement sofa. The original sofa was removed then. Once again the back cushions are not stuffed properly. I called Chris McCall while his delivery people took pictures of the sofa. He would not take my call and never called back. Instead, he instructed his accounting person to call me. She was told to tell me to have the sofa removed and he would refund my money. I could sit on the floor until I bought a new sofa. Mayo and DT McCalls, Cookeville TN furniture store, maintained the replacement sofa was acceptable and McCall stated that "you would never be satisfied". McCall needs to be heard and it is near impossible to get him to shut up and listen. Terrible person to deal with given the circumstances. Not apologetic and never even looked at either sofa, only the pictures. Steve Mayo was never contacted by McCall. It was McCall and the Mayo salesperson that determined the sofa was acceptable. Once again, Mayo and McCall, or the salesperson ever saw the sofa. They represented that I was unreasonable. I called Steve Mayo several times and he never returned my calls. His customer service manager Sarah would not connect me and said that I had to deal with DT Mcalls and not Mayo. Tim Tyler, sales in TN for Mayo offered to visit my home and reposition the foam in the cushions. Not possible! The back cushions are sewn into the back of the sofa and bunched up in some areas and not filling other areas. The packing could not be reformed to fit the covering. Chris McCall, owner DT McCalls is one of the most dishonest and unprofessional business owners I have ever dealt with. Enough said. Beware of both companies. read more

terrible service. bought a mower that never worked at end of july. First mow, the mower continued to die, and the steering would go out intermittently. shop in Carthage and was told that this would be common because been sitting for so long and I had bought it at the end of the mowing season. Second mow- same thing. Had it picked up for warranty work and now I'm getting told that I need to pay for pick up and delivery even if it's warranty work. Why would I need to do that if it never worked?? called and spoke with one of the owners who identified himself as Alex and when I asked to return it, he said no. he then proceeded to hang up on me rather than talking like adults. I've had issues with them since the early 90's when I found out the Davis Cabinet "Lillian Russell" bedroom set they sold me was counterfeit ( the folks at Davis Cabinet on So. 5th in Nashville told me so when I tried to get replacement handles. The ones that came on it started peeling and I found out it was resin....NOT wood.) I still have the furniture. I still have the original receipt. Unfortunately so much time had passed then (almost 5 years) I didn't pursue the issue. In the decades since, every family member I know that has bought appliances from them had issues. Generally within 2-3 years. Their repair policy is crap. I'm now dealing with my 80 y.o. Mom and JUST got her to quit buying appliances from them. Zero! Do not recommend this business! I have received 10 plus issues with the Washer Dryer Combo I purchased in February (now May). 10 plus error codes / interrupted service / contacted the manufacturer and received 3 separate Service companies , 1 in Cookeville who did not show after the service ticket was issued then they called after No Show saying they did not service my Fentress County area. I do not know the technicians name, but I received a call from Debra from Mr Appliance of the Cumberland. J. The day after the appointment she called saying they do not service our area. Nice to recieve this acknowledgment via a missed appointment! After a service ticket had been issued prior. Waiting to see when this garbage will be serviced for an actual repair. Ordered washer dryer gun safe & zero turn mower paid cash for all of it delivery driver broke water lines installing appliances before they was even off the truck because he didn't like the way the 20 yr old pvc pipe was glued so that had to be replaced with new pek line the delivery driver for the 5k zero turn ubloaded the mower handed me the manual and said good luck since delivery last summer I've went through 3 sets of blades at 80$ a set thanks D.T. McCall's your work is white! I bought a full bedroom set. For the quality and style, I'd have expected to pay $1500 more than I did. They came and set it up with no problems. Actually, I have an adjustable bed and they worked around the base to get it perfect. I couldn't have been happier. So we just went back and just bought new couches and a coffee table. Each time we have been greeted within a minute of walking in and they worked with our wants - never trying to upsell us or to get us to buy anything we didn't ask for. I purchased a KitchenAid refrigerator (KRMF706ESS01) paid $4102.42- After installed and the protective covering removed on 8/13/20 they found 3 of the 5 doors were dinged & damaged. Supposedly replacement doors were ordered 8/17/20 by service department. We were told it would take 6-8 weeks for parts to arrive. We bought a stove last October and you delivered 3 before we got one that worked! The stove was supposed to be under warranty. The end of September of this year, our oven quit again! I purchased a lazy boy leather couch and recliner from from DT McCall over 1 year ago. They busted my door frame bringing it through the door, I sent photos but they never repaired. Also they ended up delivering the floor model couch, however when I purchased the items I specifically asked for a couch that that was not a floor model. The sales person lied about this when confronted about this matter, however the owner agreed it was the floor model. They did bring another couch, unfortunately it was not at all the quality of the couch on the floor. The head rest deflated quickly, the seats are starting to sink, and the leather does not even look at all like the one in the store. I did not realize the couch would be a completely different couch or I would never have purchased at all. I called on several occasions and did not get a resolution. Someone was supposed to call after coming to look at it, but never did. I got the run around every time I called them. I finally gave up as they were refusing to deal with the issue, but disappointed to have have spent so much money for such low quality. They lost me as customer. 3/16/2016 I bought a speed queen laundry set for $1856.15 I was told it would not be delivered until 3/19/2016 .When it arrived at 3pm the washer was damaged and had to be replaced, the delivery people where very nice but their boss said he would not deliver a replacement until 3/23/2016 so I took my wash to the laundry mat. We purchased a $6000.00 Lay Z Boy recliner, couch & loveseat. We thought it would be the very last livingroom furniture we would ever buy as we are in our 60's. We have made complaints to the company that the loveseat seemed to be defective. They sent out their delivery people to take a look, the delivery people agreed that it wasn't right. The representative from DT McCall said, "We have sent someone out on 2 occations, I'm sorry but there is nothing else we can do for you!" Well now, the arm of loveseat is ready to fall off, screws are under seat that have fallen out, the electric recliner works sporatically.
