We just moved into the area from living in a motor coach for the past 9 years so needless to say, we had no furniture. Ashley Furniture Store in Cookeville, TN was awesome. We found a great sectional that looks awesome in our living room. Alissa Caiazzo was great to deal with and very accommodating to finding just the right fit for us. She even brought my husband's service dog, Loki, water because we were in the store longer than we expected. We were there so long that Loki fell asleep while we were deciding between the two different sectionals. Your furniture is THAT comfortable! The deciding factor for us was (the one we chose) it was the floor model so it was marked down even more than the Memorial Day sale and as an added bonus, their was a guy there at the store that could deliver it that evening! So thank you Ashley Furniture Store and Alissa Caiazzo for helping us furnish our new to us home. It's really starting to feel like home now. read more

Rarely professional in this store. I just go in to see what I can buy at a different ashley store. I'm talking to one saleslady, all they are are women;and another female comes up to us, interrupts and says how are you sleeping. She proceeds to go on and on annoyingly about how she's the sleep person. They mug you in this store and can't see how rude it looks? The manager is a female who was making rude motions behind my back as I was walking to an area in front of her. She thinks I don't know she did that. Who raised some of these locals? Because they sure are low IQ loco's. Who would buy anything here? I think their objective is to get you to leave asap so they can go back to sleep on the beds or something. Only logical thing I can think of. The parking lot is always empty when I go by. What a waste of a building full of furniture. At least put some homeless veterans in there or something. read more

I purchased several pieces of furniture. When I went to the checkout I told the sales lady I had changed my mind. She then offered a bigger discount. However, it appears she processed my check before I had even signed. The manager (I guess) said, that I would receive a credit check for the almost 500.00 in 3-4 weeks. It has now been 8 weeks! You cannot get thru to anyone via the phone (multiple attempts) or the website. Clearly, I'm going to have to go cause a scene at the store. I will NEVER do business with this store again read more

Additional comments to my 5/11/2022 review. Finally much of the furniture arrived and the delivery personnel had no problem finding our address. We saw a damaged chair and told the delivery truck personnel and they said just tell the Ashley Customer service personnel when they call to see how the delivery went. No call. Ashley's customer service BOT replied to my initial review with a number that goes to the same lack of customer service phone with the long waits and to people who can do nothing to fix the issue. I'd like to discuss this with Ashley management but not sure there is a manager in the country. read more

The utter incompetence, lack of follow up and communication has led me to tell all my family, friends and clients to avoid Ashley's at all cost. Sure the furniture is nice BUT if you're unlucky like me and my wife, you'll have partial and damaged products (no fault of our own, it was delivered this way) in your home and will be sent on a wild goose chase by Ashley's to find a manager or someone who'll accept accountability for the errors. Good luck getting a call back or any solutions from them because it'll be an endless runaround. It's been over a week and there's still no resolve from Ashley's. Just say no!!! NO! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE! They are part of a franchise and independently owned. They claim the match the price of other "Ashley Authorized Dealers" and they LIE about that. I have tried to contact Dale the Manage many times, only to be told by Dave, that he is not going to help me nor will Dale. Dave has even lied to me about so-called emails that he said he sent me. Calling the local store near my home a "Hillbilly Store". I have left messages with Dave asking that Dale the store manage call me and asking that Jennifer the Sales Person call me. NOT ONE PHONE CALL BACK!!! Ashley Cookeville has refused to price match the local Ashley dealership, where I found the sofa sleeper for less money and free delivery. I asked that my order to cancelled and Dave informed that they he would charge me a huge order cancellation fee and a restocking fee. This location LIES. I have called this store MANY TIMES...asking to speak with Dale, Dave always tells me that Dale (Store Manager) would call me back. NO CALL BACK. I tried reaching Dale again yesterday, only to be told by Dave, that Dale was too busy to talk to me. So, I tried to reach Dale again ...calling early evening, only to be told by Dave that Dale was STILL TOO BUSY to talk to me and to call Dale in the morning. Today, I called early this morning.....only to be told by Dave that Dale was off for the day. Dave was very rude with me when I reminded him that I wanted someone to call me about the Price Matching. Dave said "I told you that I was not going to price match and that Dale is not going to price match the other store. That you need to get their prices on a letterhead sheet not on a invoice sheet." I then said to Dave "The local store does not have a letterhead, they use invoices instead." Dave then stated "That place is a hillbilly store." I said "Are you kidding me!? We've had the worse customer service experience with this store. I do not recommend ordering anything from this store, especially if you are looking for items to be delivered on time. I understand that things are backed up or things get broken, but at least give your costumers a call with an explanation. They also charged us for an item without calling to confirm we wanted it or if the item was the right size. Ashley sells furniture that they don't have. We waited 6 months for table legs because just the table top was delivered. We waited at home all day for "ghost" orders....nothing came and the warehouse just said oops. No one could get us those legs. Store visits and texts yielded no response except that others have waited a year for their stuff. No one cared if we could use the table or not and they continued to sell that table to others knowing they couldn't get it. After finally telling them forget it, we ordered it in Oct and now it's May, we want our money back, we could miraculously get the floor model because the table is discontinued. Done with Ashley. They don't call you back or even answer their phones. After their people picked up the partial dinning room set, we have no idea how they are crediting us..no word and no calls returned. Forget it! This place is absolutely ridiculous. Ordered a $6k, the bed was delivered, they failed to bring the right bed frame. My $6k bed sat in my living room for a month (during the holidays) in a box until the bed frame could be delivered. Finally called and spoke to the manager to get the bedframe ordered. The new bedframe shows up, and it's broken! 3rd party delivery company says to go ahead and accept it. That they would handle the broken part and get a new one delivered. Delivery company NEVER told anyone about the damage product they delivered. I also have a 4 piece sectional on order. It's been 38 days since I ordered and paid for the entire thing. Item WAS scheduled for delivery tomorrow. I called to find out the status of the delivery. Guess what? Your delivery had been pushed back 2 to 4 weeks! I've never experienced that absolute lack of customer care that I received there. I will never shop at Ashley again. Please don't trust the word of a salesperson as to when it will be delivered. We knew it was going to take a least a month with the holidays and all. Now you're telling me 2 months. I have family coming to visit. We will all be sitting on the floor. I have held off writing this review for 4 months so that I could be fair in my feedback with less frustration and emotion. I enjoyed working with the in-store team. They were friendly and helpful the day of purchase and as we navigated each issue. Our purchase was for a sofa, ottoman and complete bedroom (mattress, headboard, sideboards, footboard, nightstand, chest) set for my daughter's college townhome. My 1st warning should have been the antiquated ordering system the sales guy was having to work with and the struggle to get a clear answer about inventory for the bedroom suite, the one on display at the front of the store. Even while he was entering my order the timing for delivery kept changing on him. The frustrations began as the 1st of 5 failed deliveries happened. 1st delivery - sofa, ottoman, mattress and nightstand. The drivers had no clue that the remaining pieces of the bedroom suite were a part of the order. 2nd attempt, no show, claimed had no delivery scheduled. 3rd attempt - got moved out another week. 4th attempt - got moved out another week. Each time my daughter, husband and I had direct conversations with the poor in store sales people who were stuck in the middle of this Ashley Furniture Supply Chain Management disaster. When the 5th attempt was getting moved yet one more time, we canceled the entire bedroom suite order (kept the sofa/ottoman and mattress that was delivered in the 1st delivery), returned the night stand and swore to never step foot in an Ashley Furniture store again. Oh yea - in this 6 week ordeal my daughter had no bedroom furniture in her new townhome - nowhere to put clothes, mattress on the floor for sleeping AND once we finally did cancel the entire bedroom suite (except the mattress) we were told it would take 14 DAYS for the refund to show up on my credit card as a credit!! Funny since it was an immediate charge the day of purchase with nothing to show for it for weeks or at all. Tainted by ordering system, delivery debacles, and delayed refund. Wondering about how expensive Ashley's home store in Cookeville, TN we heard that there is a Ashley's discount distributor in my town so off we want to,Ashley's to look. We were so impressed by the quality of furniture and the deals they were offering we decided to keep shopping. A lady approached us stating her name was Brenda and asked if she could help us in any way to let her know. She was not pushy, very friendly and approachable that we thanked her and kept shopping. The more we looked the more we found and had questions. Brenda was right there, extremely knowledgeable in all their products from kitchen island, to sofa, chair and ottoman and dining room table that we were really having fun and fell in love with it all. Brenda picked up on out style and taste and immediately helped us on all our needs. Being we spent hours with Brenda and she worked so hard for us and then helped us find the best discounts she could, we didn't even want to go deal with a discount store after being handled by an amazing professional as Brenda. All is ordered, with COVID we understand there will be a delay which is out of Brendas control. So excited about everything that matches perfect all because someone as in Brenda asked if she could help...which she absolutely did and then some. Went in to the Cookeville Ashley looking for furniture since they were having a holiday sale which brought the prices down to something resembling reasonable (their stuff is notoriously astronomical for average furniture). Purchased two large accent tables and two lamps. Was told by the sales person (who I later found out was the sales manager) that all of our purchases were available and we were lucky in that it would not take months to get like a lot of the other stuff they had. Great. Paid in full right then and there. I was called by customer service a few weeks later and was told the accent tables would take almost two months to arrive, but we could have the lamps delivered separately since they were available. We opted to have the lamps delivered with the tables, since the lamps would eventually be put on the tables. Well, after another delay the accent tables did arrive....almost two months later. The lamps did not. Calling the local store I was told that they showed the lamps were no longer on order so I must have picked them up. I explained the situation and the employee said she would look for them and call back. I received a call from the 'operations manager' who said that they never ship out accessories like lamps so I must have already taken them. I explained the situation again and he said he would look into it and call back. The next day he had another employee call me to say they had them waiting for me and I needed to pick them up within 48 hrs or lose them. All very snarky people working there. The worst experience I have EVER had in purchasing ANYTHING!!!!!! In August of 2020, I purchased a love seat and a oversized recliner. And was told it would take 8 weeks for the recliner and 10 weeks for the love seat. I received the the recliner first, it has not been right from the day it was delivered. I called and told them it was not right. I would like it replaced. They sent a repair person to check it out, he said the whole core was shifted and it did not have enough padding. That this had either happened in the factory or in shipping, I told them I wanted it replaced, as I did not give almost $1,000. for a chair that need repair from day one. It hurts anyone back that sits in it, I have even had to go to the doctor and she said it was the chair I was sitting in. So, I do not need a recliner that no one can sit in. I have spoke with the person that sold it to me (who no longer works there,) still tried to help me. I have been told that it would be replace, then the Operations Manager at the Cookeville store on W. Jackson St. said that cooperated had made a decision to repair not to replace. So, they have shipped me 2 huge boxes of parts and padding that have been sitting in my dining room for months, waiting for a repair man to come and cut open my NEW recliner to REPAIR/REPLACE things. I have a piece of CRAP sitting in my living room. I would suggest NO ONE BUY ANYTHING FROM ASHLEY FURNITURE. They take you money, and will not stand behind their product. The dates keep changing and no one EVER follows up to try to get our orders to us in a timely manner. We are currently in process of moving to the upper Cumberland area, and we needed to fill an empty house with furniture. I was skeptical about the quality of the furniture. After we had looked around at the huge selection of furniture we found just about everything we needed to furnish the new home. And as far as the quality, I was impressed by it to say the least. David, our sales consultant was very patient and spent several hours helping us with the design choice and various types of furniture we had purchased. He arranged a pick up date for the items that could not be delivered because we didn't have a place to store them. Customer service is the key to success! Thanks for your help David! I continue to be disappointed in Ashley Furniture. For one, the furniture is cheaply made and overly priced. I used to be okay with that because they used to bargain on the final price. Additionally, the sales people have gotten downright aggressive to the point the last time I went in ready to purchase, I left because I was drowning in sales people. Understanding Covid has placed a strand receiving products and causing delays but by now a pattern has been established. We ordered furniture in Sept with delivery date in mid November. That was changed to later November, and then December and then later December and then Jan. And it keeps going. Finally, delivery day, waiting all day only to receive a phone call from driver saying they can't deliver until four days from now. I call the delivery call center, seems someone type the wrong zip code into the system and now that it's the weekend. Well, you get it no one will call back until Monday. It's now been over three months. It wouldn't be so bad, but we just moved here and have no bedroom furniture. I'm glad I didn't order any other furniture from this store. The corporate office is aware of these delays and is not being honest with their own staff and customers, and we get lied to over and over again. I would stay clear of this store. read more

I will never step foot in an Ashley Furniture ever again! I went to the Ashley Furniture in Cookeville, TN in hopes of purchasing a new mattress since I had the money to buy one outright, and I was 24 sleeping on a hand-me-down twin sized one. The sales associates were very nice and then I met a man named Jacob who works with 'AcceptanceNOW' as an affiliate of Ashley. He told me that I could purchase the bed with 0 interest and build my credit. All I had to do was sign up for automatic payments and 3 months later the bed would be mine. I signed a few papers and went to the counter where they announced my name for buying a bed as for every mattress purchased the company is suppose to give a mattress to a kid in need in TN. Here's where things went south. About 5 months later a receive a call from the new AcceptanceNOW guy, Philip, saying the original Jacob guy left and started asking about missed payments. When I went to the store he showed me all sorts of paperwork I'd never seen with electronic signatures that were suppose to pass as mine for a lease on the mattress I thought I'd purchased. When I looked at my bank account I saw that they were pulling money out of my account after I had already paid for the mattress up to $500 over the original price and told me I still owe $800 if I wanted to pay it off today. The total price of the mattress was $965.78 after tax... and I'd already put $1200 in so I refused that option. My Dad and I researched the company AcceptanceNOW and found the internet littered with bad reviews and sketchy situations with their involvement, so we went to the Gen. Manager of Ashley who was quite rude to my Dad, a 20 year veteran of the USAF, in saying that they accept no responsibility. And every attempt to reach higher ups in AcceptanceNOW were just unreturned phone calls including from but not limited to the District Manager Blake Boiling. So now I'm in the process of going to small claims court over trying to get a simple mattress. This AcceptanceNOW company is running a scam and Ashley Furniture is endorsing it, and the worst part is I'm sure since none of the mattresses are actually bought that the charitable donations aren't happening either. Well first of all I ordered our furniture on LABOR day and it was promised by 1st week in Oct then we get a call saying it wouldn't be ready till Dec. We were also told that the delivery was free they charged is over $100 to deliver. They never offered an apology when I cancelled half of the order bc they only had one piece of it by Dec so I cancelled the rest. They don't care about their customers only making a dollar!!! read more
