I found David via a quick google search and scheduled an appointment for 3/7/2020 to discuss our tax situation. My husband and I recently started investing and needed guidance on how to report our trading profit/losses on our taxes. David is a very welcoming individual and he was knowledgeable about reporting investment income. He prepared out taxes that same day and shared a lot of information that we did not know about investing, W4 allocations and LLC set up. David will be my go to CPA going forward. I had a great experience here with the business owner David. When looking for a tax service, I sent out quotes to many different places. D tax had the best offer, like seriously the BEST OFFER. So, I am like "what's the catch?" I looked at previous reviews and there was only positive reviews! And this right here is another positive review. David is a no bs, straight to the point guy. I've never had such a great experience getting my taxes done. David is really a whiz with this stuff, as expected, since he's been doing it for over 25 years. I'm a new client, so I brought in copies of last year's tax return and all of the documents for this year. David looked it over, entered in all of the information, and showed me the amounts of my Federal and state refunds. All of this in less than 30 minutes! On top of that, he charged me WAY less than my previous preparer--only 35% of what I was paying before. You can bet I'll be coming back to D Tax People in the future! read more

With a new baby (and not being married), a rental property, and a new house, I really didn't feel confident doing the Tax Returns by myself. So, I started asking around teh community, and people swore to this guy, David. And now I understand why! He scheduled a convenient time for me to come in, immediately understood all the info, and within 30-40 minutes my return and my girfriend's were done. Now....I got a refund, but I would have been happy with David's work even without one. Oh....and it doesn't hurt that when you walk in , you are greeted with a smile and politness. I wish I had a good review to leave but unfortunately that's not the case. After searching for a CPA, my realtor recommended David Torres and after reading these great reviews I was looking forward to a booking a consultation with him. I reach out to the business' phone number and was told to contact David by email. He replies to my email stating that he would be happy to help but when it comes down to scheduling an actual appointment, he just kept giving me the run around after a few emails. After two weeks of waiting for this consultation and no reply, I see that he's not interested in my business. But that's ok, I prefer working with a CPA that is professional and provides excellent customer service anyway. read more

My last tax guy got out of the business and I wanted someone recommended but after asking friends, I tried YELP and found David. He gave me a draft quote via email, I called and got an appointment, he followed up with email reminders. We arrive early and waited while he finished a previous client. When they opened the door, they were smiling and talking. We went in, he introduced himself and started right in. While he researched an item for me, he held a conversation about his kids, where he went to school (North Park where I had graduated from) and so on. Can't say enough good things about David and the crew. Had a 7pm appointment: was done by 7:02 - OK I was 10 mins early. I just take my W2, self employment earnings and expenses, mortgage and retirement statements and that's it. Very painless and great value.
