I was recommended by Sam through a friend, he seemed like a very cool knowledgeable guy. We were talking business real estate etc since I am starting to get into the business. The first red flag was he proceeded to tell me I shouldn't fall for any of these internet gurus by giving them any money then turn around and tell me he charges $400/hr to speak with him about business. We began the process with my taxes and we sat there looking for any refunds etc from the government and he helped me look for them all. I wasn't told what my total would be until I called while out of town and I was told he charged me $600, I pulled up the paperwork and it was almost $800, in which $700 was his charge. I've never paid that in my life so I was a little taken aback. I even called and asked if they could cancel it I'll just go back to my tax lady but no one got back to me. Now once I received my taxes the IRS had taken out $4200 because that was the stimulus they sent which I specifically showed him in the office I did receive it. When I asked him why he put that he said I told him I only received $1119 which was not true I pulled up everything in front of him. So I received nowhere near what I thought I was going to get. I felt like I got got honestly and won't ever be returning back. read more

I used this tax service to file my taxes. I was referred to them by a friend who said she has used them once and said she was satisfied. So I called them to set an appointment to prepare my taxes. I should add that I was going in on April 14, so I had only one day to complete my taxes. I spoke to a gentleman by the name of Sam and he assured me that he does this all the time and everything would be fine and he would file my taxes electronically so my taxes would be filed on time. Wrong.... My taxes were filed by Patriot Tax / Sam on April 18, this was devastating to me. To my surprise I received a letter from the IRS stating I owed a whopping $800.00 for filing a late return. Now, this is where everything goes all the way South.... I called Sam to ask him why the IRS is sending me notices of a late filing. He said "I don't know let me check", he never came back to the phone. I called again and the phone went to voice mail. I went to the business but it was not open at 3 p.m. when I visited. I have not heard from Sam at all, I have been working with the IRS but it has been a horrible experience. This was my experience with this company. read more
