I am a single older woman with little homeownership experience who needed to be able to trust the people willing to fix my home. I had a leaky roof three years ago with attic water damage in my bathroom ceiling. After thoroughly investigating my attic, Pete took the time to explain to me about my attic situation and the little mold that was there, and then discuss my options, giving pros and cons for each way I could proceed. No hard sell. Just down to earth procedures and recommendations. I was able to make an informed decision about how to proceed. Fixing the damage will be a very small job and Pete gave me the name of another reliable company that could handle it well. He wouldn't even charge me for the assessment though I would have been delighted to pay for their time and expertise! A very positive experience.

He promised that he would be able to salvage my new carpet and when they failed. Jeff refused his crew to remove it days later after mold and mildew smell started in. My insurance agent said the carpet was unsalvagable and to remove it. QUEST refused to do so and when confronted how inadequate of a job they did, Quest notified their lawyers to harasse me for full payment of 6,500.00! In the lawyers letter, Jeff made false statements. When I contacted the lawyer to speak with the owners of Quest, they refused to listen to me the customer and demanded payment. I felt bullied and belittled since I am a female by Jeff after he laughed in my face and smirked how wrong he thought I was. When I asked a male neighbor to explain to Jeff how my basement smelled because of the moldy carpet and he could see wet spots where heavy furniture was, Jeff knew he was wrong and left telling the other worker to pull fans out of my basement that they were done! My basement read out at 70 percent humidity STILL after several weeks. At one point, I was promised the smell would go away after shampooing the carpet. I said I didn't think so but allowed them to "try" and stating if it still smelled, I needed it out due to health risk to my asthmatic 3 yr old. QUEST did not care or listen to my request leaving me pull out 1200 square foot carpeting that was a year old by myself and I had to hire someone else to dispose of it. Yet, they demand full price! I NEVER even had my plumbing friend bill them for the use of his trash pump and for him losing customer business that evening after we asked several times if they could find more pumps so he could go pump other clients basements, but QUEST couldn't get any more pumps since they took on too many jobs that evening. My plumbing friend lost business and money that night because of Quest lack of service. Shame on the owners for not wanting to hear the truth and are so creed that in the end, they want money not a customer to feel heard and satisfied. They demanded 1000.00 that night and in my distress I never listened to my gut when it said this doesn't feel right. I have had four basement floodings and not once had I had a restoration company ask for money before they would help. Big clue!

Pete and Max came right out that day and it was made clear to me that eggs take precedence. Pete said that it would not take long for eggs to damage a roof and siding. Within a short time after placing a call to AAA, Steve was at our door. He was able to extract most of the water from our carpet. Before 10 a.m. our carpet had been removed and hauled away by Steve. He brought in big fans and a dehumidifier. He and my husband located the fractured pipe. He went into our crawl space to locate any other possible problems. They tarp everything, lay plywood against the house to protect it and the plants, sweep up the sidewalks, even put wood down to protect the lawn from the roll off dumpster. My mother in law needed a roof and called one of the companies that advertise on TV. She became upset when the TV roofing companies kept calling her to pressure her to sign a contact. I told her to check on those companies on the BBB and then call ACE Roofing. She had Mike replace her roof was very happy with the work and was never pressured. My parents had a roof installed by Mike two days before the tornado passed their house 6 doors down in Millbury, never lost a shingle yet they had the top of their 30 foot tree break off. A 60 MPH wind storm we had in early march 2017 took a half dozen shingles off. Nearly every house in the neighborhood has the same damage. I called Mike that day and he was there the next day to fix the damage. Many of the neighbors are still waiting on their roofers to come out and repair theirs with far more damage. If you are considering a roof, read the reviews of all of the big roofing companies that have to advertise and then check ACE Roofing who relies on word of mouth. I think if you ask any of Mike's customers, I believe you will find everyone of them was pleased with his work,.... including the neighbors. Called Goodall. They had a quote for me to fix the floor within the hour, and a guy to come out almost next day. They did amazing work. Pulled out all the rotting wood, replaced the floor, installed a new flange even. Also was able to unclog my grandma's tub. I'll be using them next time I'm in town for the bigger repair job coming up. Pictures are of the toilet hole before the fix, and after. They gave me a fair quote on a bigger project down the line too. Hopefully will use their services again.

So water draining from my washer backed up into the kitchen sink and out from under my toilet! Scared I was going to be in major trouble with the sewers I spoke to Bob at E&K. Not only did he put me at ease with the procedure but reassured me when they put a camera in to see what's going on, it stays between E&K and me. Anyone who knows about the sewer issues in Maumee will understand why this is so important. Over 2 1/2 hours to clear my sewer line of mainly tree roots! Even better news my sewer line is fine! If you were at the Elk's meeting regarding the Maumee sewers, Damien spoke on behalf of E&K and handed out brochures with information, along with offering free inspections.
