I didnt call Window Universe intially. (my mistake) I had one company (Who I wont review) that was all the way up to getting a downpayment from me. They seemed good initially but I had to fire them when they didnt show up (it was a fourth offence) Too bad. Well I called Window Universe they came out fast. The quoting process was fast. The person (lance) who came out was very personable. Now I didnt realize this but their quote was 1500 less than the other guy I fired. Also Lance is a dialed in person. He called Provia on my door and he told me that the door I was getting was not compatible so we had to switch. The previous guy was going to give me that door with the side lights. (Was it going to even work??) yeah so there was that. The appointment took minutes. We also talked about basement glass block windows. Their prices. Right on the sheet AND they were really good about 1/2 what I expected to pay. So I am going to do that too before the winter. Anyhow when all was said and done Window Universe was less than the guy I almost used and Lance double checked he got the proper sized windows and sidelights. Great experience and I still have 3+ weeks before the windows show up. Ill come back and add some pictures after it is done. I know it is going to be great.

My old windows were over 40 years old and drafty. I contacted Hansons along with several other outfits to get estimates and decided that the quality and price of Hanson was the best choice. I purchased nine custom made high-end , low E windows and installation. The windows were delivered on time and customer communication was good. I had a few questions for the contractors that came out and performed the work and those questions were answered at that time. The first winter I noticed in one bedroom the wood and wall received moisture damage. Not from typical condensation so I reached out to Hansons and they sent someone out to look into the matter. The problem was discovered to be caulk covered the window track drain panel which they were able to correct on the spot. I can say that that is the only issue I have had with my new windows or the workman ship. Over all, we are satisfied customers and would likely recommend to others.

The front door has been on our list for a long time. I went to 4 different companies to quote the project. One company said they wouldn't do it because of the complexity. One said it would take 6 months to get a specialty door ordered and they wanted half the money up front. So basically paying thousands of dollars for a door I won't see for the better part of a year. Pass. The other company said they would need to rip the door off before they could give me a quote. Nightmare all around. Broadview was able to provide a reasonably priced quote and a 3 month lead time that ended up collapsing down to 2 months! I communicated with Ed for the sale and contract. My installation team was Randy, Bart, and Jamie. Absolutely stellar crew. Outstanding craftsmanship that exceeded my expectations. I did not think we'd get that door centered on the opening due to complexities of the HVAC and structure of the original door vs the new door. It looks marvelous like it was meant to be there, centered, correct size and color. One of the guys said they've been doing this for 42 years and this was the second hardest door he's done. And the only reason he could do it is because he worked in New England where all the homes were old. They also installed 3 layers of insulation because our door had none. Like I said, the list for this home never ends. Grateful for the team, their pristine attention to detail and their commitment to craftsmanship. We are thrilled with our new door!

I am also attaching pictures of the caulk job and the damage that was done below the window. Overall with this experience I would not recommend this company. I had ordered windows in September of 2021 and still have not had them installed as of 1/29/2022. The second week of December 2021, I had called to see where the windows were and how much longer it would be until install. It took 3-4 days in order to get an answer. The receptionist would constantly put me over to people who had no idea what was going on and would promise to give me a call back, which would never happen. The Week before Martin Luther King Dr. Day, I finally get a call from who I think is the owner who said that they have my windows, and they could install next day. Unfortunately I work in health care and it is almost impossible to get off at that short of notice, which is something I feel like this person could not grasp. We settled for Martin Lurther King Jr. Day because I was off work. Unfortunately I was scheduled for install in the morning and we had 4-6 inches of snow and according to the owner they had the truck which was stuck in Delaware. No big deal, these things happen and I would feel awful if someone got into a traffic accident or hurt, and said that he was very sorry and would try to reschedule on a Saturday, which was something they rarely do. He said he would call up a team and would call me back to confirm. Never did call me back pertaining to scheduling on a Saturday. I am now suppose to get them installed the second week of February, we will see if it actually happens this time. They were very professional which has been a long time since I have seen men who do good business. The installer name Tim, was very polite and his assistant also was polite. They did not disrupt nor offend the neighbors by crossing any boundary lines and they worked fast. They did not make too much noise. Nothing out of the ordinary of what to be expected. They installed within the time frame they promised and payment was easy to process and straight forward.
