Best bbq in town!! Highly recommend this place. Try the brisket nachos, they usually run out pretty fast so get there right away.

Wow! So glad I did. Small Potatoes is known for their soups but their solid foods are absolutely delightful. I got the curried rice cakes with pepper cilantro relish and strawberry glaze. The curried rice cakes are little pan fried pillows of heaven. The rice is cooked in curry and has whole fennel seeds stirred in for a delicate aromatic flavor. The relish is fresh made from the farmers market produce on sale today, as is the strawberry glaze. The food was offered up quickly and comes in an eco friendly container with compostable cutlery. Eat great and feel like an environmental winner.

The person behind the truck is Elizabeth Gibbs, who cut her teeth in the food scene as a team leader at the Durham Whole Foods, manager of farmers markets, and running her own farm to table catering business. Her resume shines in the details of her mobile kitchen. Virtually every facet of Elizabeth's business model focuses on sustainability. Her food truck runs on biofuel, the food containers are biodegradable and sourced from World Centric Zero Waste Solutions, and the ingredients are sourced as locally as possible. The food truck is parked for lunch at the Greensboro Farmer's Curb Market on Yanceyville St. until 1pm each Wednesday, which is where I most recently dined on their offerings. For vegetarians, Small Potatoes served up two dishes: 1. Curried Rice Cakes: covered in a strawberry-cumin glaze and topped with pepper cilantro relish. ($7) 2. Grilled broccoli with Indian sweet potatoes ($7). I decided on the curried rice cakes, which I can best describe as the perfect spring time lunch. The strawberry-cumin glaze and the relish lent a effervescent freshness that helped beat the heat on this balmy day. Elizabeth could have easily taken the name of the dish to heart and gone overboard with the curry flavors, but here they were subtle and balanced. The dish was produced with ingredients purchased at the farmer's market that weekend, with the exception of the relish, the parts of which were obtained that morning at the market. I can't think of anything else in town that personifies fresh and local to that level, and can't wait to see what the Small Potatoes team cooks up next week.

I love yuca and I've never had yuca with rosemary & garlic oil but it was as delicious as I could imagine. They were oily of course because of the garlic oil but the flavor was great. I also had the beef empanadas and they were really good too. They're the perfect size & the breading tastes really fresh. I also loved the seasoning in the empanada. The dipping sauce paired perfectly with both the yuca and empanadas. My friend got a sandwich and I didn't try it but she really enjoyed it too. The service was good - food came out pretty quickly even though it was crowded! This is definitely a food truck I'll be on the lookout for again!

The Cubano was everything it should be. Made with golden bread pressed to perfection. Inside, the layers of roasted pork and ham were stacked. Made just right too. The melted Swiss cheese keeps it from falling apart. The pickles and mustard cut through the rich flavor by adding a slight tang. Every bite was comfort for the soul. I paired it with an NZ Pils from Joymongers and it was heaven. The beef empanadas were just as good. Inside, the seasoned beef was 100% flavorful. They weren't greasy and went well with the specialty sauce. Together, they made for a satisfying meal... it was enough to make me keep a lookout for their next Greensboro stop. Cheers!

They are in the exact same shopping center, but have just gone to the other end, in suite H. You'll still find the amazing treats you know and love, and the new space has an even better layout. It's bright, open, and welcoming. I've tried many of their flavors at this point, but I gotta say, the Cappucino Crunch is still the one for me. They describe it as "adult cookies and cream" because they're taking the favorite and adding coffee. That combo just hits. Thick veins of oreo goodness combined with rich coffee ice cream, the signature texture and pull of homemade ice cream... it all just sets off a symphony in your mouth. It's to the point that I basically cannot visit Oak Ridge without stopping in. It's a great place to bring the family, or to take your date. My wife and I love it as a post-meal finisher. After all, ice cream is the masonry that fills in the cracks of dinner.

Fries were nice and hot and seasoned well but the quantity was somewhat less than anticipated for $4. The philly cheesesteak was pretty good but the bread and meat were on the dry side (but maybe that's to keep the integrity of the bun). Overall, they were ok but a little pricey (~$14). Recommend still giving it a try if they're in the area.

Considering I had just placed order prior to arriving, I didn't mind waiting. After a short while, food was ready, I paid my bill and received my order. After driving home, I unpacked food at home to find everything hot, fresh and as ordered. The Philly cheesesteaks were delicious as were the fresh cut fries (like my mom used to make--I would love the option to add sautéed peppers and/or mushrooms to sandwiches ). The hamburger and cheeseburger were generous portions (my best guess is 1/3 lb??). The lettuce on burgers had wilted by the time I arrived home, but it didn't matter as the sandwiches were promptly devoured by my girls. The youngest event ate some fresh cut fries dipped in ketchup--which never happens! All in all, I was very impressed with food and service. Staff was courteous, frieand personable. Highly recommend booking this food truck for your next event!

Bao Yeah offers not only bao but bowls and fried chicken as well. Their ordering (via tablet) is convenient, and they turn around orders quickly. I went with a three-piece bao, which allowed me to sample the two fried chicken varieties (K*Bomb with gochujang and Garlic Gang with soy black garlic) as well as the bulgogi. All of the bao were amply stuffed with meat and pickled vegetables and slathered with tasty sauce. The thick buns held everything in place, so eating was not too sloppy an endeavor. Everything delivered the expected flavors - sweet heat from the K*Bomb, a tangier note from the bulgogi - and the fried chicken boasted a thick, crunchy batter. It was quite tasty though the chicken was definitely a bit dry. At least the bulgogi was nice and tender. All told, Bao Yeah is a promising newish addition to the Triad food truck scene. It may not be the best Korean street food you've ever had, but you're in for a flavorful meal without a long wait.

My dining companion tried the combination chopped and coarse chopped pork BBQ while I just had chopped BBQ. My serving of chopped 'Q was moist, flavorful and had just the right amount of smokiness. The coarsely chopped BBQ was also very good but not quite as moist. The red BBQ slaw was very good and not spicy. We each received a serving of just-out-of-the-fryer hush puppies. I thought they were very tasty and had a perfect amount of onion. The fries were served hot, but were just typical frozen potatoes, so I probably skip them next time. Pro tip: try just a drop of the house sauce before slathering it all over your meal. It's a bit spicy so make sure it works well for your palette. We split an order of cherry cobbler for dessert and received a very large serving big enough for at least 3 people. It was warm, good, and not super sweet. Our server was friendly and efficient in this unassuming, quintessential NC BBQ restaurant. We both enjoyed our meal and will return.
