Abysmal customer service, misleading, unimpressive facility. Don't normally write reviews, but irritated enough with this place to bother.

The casual exerciser goes here. Nothing against the workout but if you are a good athlete and looking to be challenged this is not the place

This was my first time attending an Orangetheory class in Nashville, and unfortunately, it was a…read morefrustrating experience from the start. First, the parking situation is a nightmare. The turn-in to the lot is extremely narrow and my Jeep Wrangler barely made it through. If you drive anything larger than a sedan, be warned: it's a very tight squeeze and not easily accessible. Once inside, I had questions about parking and class logistics, but the front desk staff gave me pretty dry, short answers. I had signed up for a "Strength" class, but as someone new to OTF, I didn't realize there were two different formats running simultaneously - one focused on the treadmill, the other on weights. When I was asked where I wanted to go, I said "tread" without understanding that it meant I'd be on it for the entire class (I thought just a starting point/ warm up). About 30 minutes into the class, I realized I may have messed up. I went to the front desk for clarification, but no one was there. So, I approached the coach as quietly and respectfully as possible. I explained I had mistakenly joined the wrong group and asked to switch to the weight room, which still had an open spot (and where I was originally scheduled). The coach immediately dismissed my request, saying, "If I let you do it, I'd have to let everyone do it," even though I clearly didn't understand the class setup and was trying to correct an honest mistake. Also why would everyone else want to switch if they were signed up for treads? She seemed more annoyed than understanding, and didn't offer any real solution. I then asked if I could use the rower instead of running (I have bad knees and don't enjoy running), but again she refused, saying others might want to do the same. The rowers were empty. The only option she gave me was a stationary bike and by that point, I just felt completely dismissed and unwelcome. I come to the gym for the helpful guidance and support from the trainers and staff or else I would just use my apartment gym on my own. I minus well have today.

Those 2 classes turned into getting an "elite" membership which is ~$70 for 8 classes a month. This was perfect for starting out because I still wanted to get a sense of the studio, the instructors and if it was something I would continue to do in the future. At first, IT WAS HARD. And it's still hard now but I love every single workout that I go to! The coaches are encouraging and engaged in your individual needs inside the gym. My favorite coach is Fury, if you try out a class be sure to go to one of hers! She's always present about individual performs and offers changes to the workouts to accommodate. For example, I have back problems and she always checks in with me when we do exercises that might cause issues and has shown me different stretches and stuff to do to alleviate the pain (of course recommending that I also go see a doctor ahah). If you're looking for a new gym definitely try this place out. The price is definitely higher than other commercial gyms, but the coaches and quality if the workouts are worth it. YOU are worth the investment! Pro tip: park at the CVS next door! There are always spots available and it's easier than the parking garage

Except it wasn't. I have been charged EVERY MONTH since then. I called and emailed them to get the account cancelled and the amount refunded, and I was told on the phone someone would call me the next day -- no one called. I've literally never left a bad review of a business before, but at this point, I don't know what else to do. I've lost $500 to this issue, and it's STILL not resolved 11 months later. If someone could contact me immediately with next steps to resolve this, I'd be more than happy to take this review down.

After a little trepidation of only really being a 'cardio/yoga girl' I marched myself over to our small but well equip gymbo for a 50 minute session to see what I was missing out on. It was surprisingly fun! Some days our trainer, Josh adds moves to the white board and we go at our own pace while he watches for form and answers questions, but my favorite days are group training where we bust out about 15 different moves in 1 minute spurts 3 sets, it is pretty tough, but he is good about modifications and an upbeat personality goes a long way! The best part is learning new moves I can use on my own and learning just how incorrectly I was er, squatting. (such a weird word!) I have incorporated some great body weight and ab exercises into my life (not nearly often enough) and I highly recommend working with a personal trainer, even if you can only afford one or two sessions! They offer sessions you can share with a family member of friend to make it more affordable as well. Hardly a reason not to learn proper form or exercises to work a 'hard to get' area! I always leave hurting in a good way!

I'm not a boot camp kind of girl, so anyone yelling at me isn't going to see me ever again. Holly's encouraging voice, coupled with her no-nonsense, take no prisoners approach is perfect. I never got away with a bad body position, especially if it made it easier to perform an action. She KNOWS. I suffer from low back pain and was not a runner when I began training with her. I now run/walk 3.1 miles every week, with the goal of running that full 5K by the end of summer.
