We really lucked out as I found multiple records in my wish list, and my punk-rock teen found some rare finds with Green Day and Panic at the Disco (both of those were higher priced than I would have liked). Terrible Place to Sell Books - Avoid!…read more If you're thinking about selling books to Half Price Books, DON'T waste your time! They offer insultingly low payouts, no matter the quality or value of your books. I recently brought in several thick, high-quality books and was given barely anything for them. The pricing process is completely opaque, with no explanation of how they determine value. To make things worse, customer service is awful. The employees seem uninterested and dismissive, acting as if they're doing you a favor by taking your books off your hands. There's no negotiation, no respect for sellers, and no reason to bring your books here unless you want to be ripped off. Save yourself the frustration--sell elsewhere or donate your books to people who will actually appreciate them!
