I asked an employee where a particular item was located and she gave me the wrong location. It was frustrating to move through the store with so many other people; having to wait just to leave an aisle or to try to keep at least six feet apart. I visited the past two Saturdays and both times the place was packed. I don't think the place was monitoring capacity measures to minimize Covid-19. While most to all customers were wearing masks, some took them off when no one was around and others didn't cover their nose--despite coughing a lot. Last Saturday, the place seemed well staffed and an ample number of checkout lanes were open. The Saturday evening before Christmas was understaffed. About half the number of checkout lanes were open. There was one returns counter and it was staffed by a high school student. While she was very friendly and smart, she was inexperienced and took quite a while to process returns. It would have been better to have had two return lanes open and/or to have staffed it with a more experienced employee. There were a lot of young employees working the Saturday before Christmas. I saw a lot of customers get tired of waiting to check out and just leave the store.

This place has gone WAY downhill - after navigating around the endless gimmicky displays of $4.99 impulse buy junk, you'll notice half of the lights were burned out. I needed a generic 1/28 scale esc and mini z size tires. Unfortunately, since it wasn't a 'hobbytown approved' traxxas, losi or arrma brand, they had absolutely none of these items. I will also mention if you're not a 'regular'' in there, it is near impossible to get assistance as they favor their 'big buy' customers. I won't be back.

I have found them hard to get on the phone, and when I do, overly brisk/abrupt, and defensive about their sometimes confusing stock & shipping policies. For example, I recently placed an order for an item. I landed on the Woolery to buy it because my online search produced a google listing from the Woolery that *specifically said the item was in stock*. I called to double check it was in stock, but no one answered the phone. The online store said "Shipping in 7-10 days" which made it sound like yes, they had the item in stock. So I ordered. I got an email the next day saying that the item was not in stock, as the manufacturer is closed for the next 3 weeks, and it will ship after that. I called to cancel the order, and the person answering the phone was quite quick to blame me for misunderstanding - "You can add it to your cart, but that doesn't mean we have it in stock" and "it SAYS 7-10 days shipping, you should have seen that, which is typical for a drop ship from a manufacturer" and "The website doesn't say we had it in stock, we never keep large items in stock, we don't have the room in our warehouse." Then, she seemed unhappy to cancel the order.
