I'll do my best to convey what an incredible experience this has been but I feel I may fall short. It's been beyond extraordinary; 1) the team, 2) the design, 3) the execution, 4) the management, 5) the customer service, 6) the follow up. It started with a couple questions which (believe it or not), not one other builder we met with asked, "What did you have in mind? Who are you looking to entertain?" Simple questions but never having had a pool, we didn't know what we wanted. What we did know was that our backyard would be challenging since our house sits on top of a major slope. In fact, many of the builders we met with (high end luxury builders at that) didn't even want to tackle the slope issue. Instead, they recommended we tear down a number of trees to get to where the ground levels before building. Pristine not only tackled the slope issue, they embraced it and built a resort that makes you feel at one with nature. As I sit in the hot tub and look out over the space they've created, I feel as I'm sitting in a tree house. It's truly breathtaking. I've been working on a multi-year project to reforest about an acre of my property, replacing all the turf grass with native trees, shrubs, and perennials. I have purchased about 40 trees from Gil and BRT over the last few years - Maples, Oaks, White Spruce, Hawthornes, Dogwoods, Redbuds, Silverbells, Birch, Serviceberries, and Sweetgums. These trees are larger than anything you can get at most nurseries and only a fraction of the cost. His awesome crew will come deliver and install these giant trees with machines (if the site is accessible) or manually if needed (his crew lugged a few trees through a deep wooded area to access a planting site). Gil has also been a tremendous resource for any concerns I've had about the trees. He is a trained arborist and has a wealth of knowledge. He gets back to me very quickly anytime I have a question about any of my trees or when I'm looking for tips on how to address any of a variety of issues. He even stops by from time to time to see how everything is doing. One new tree was uprooted by a heavy wind storm and he was there to fix it that week! Only one dogwood didn't survive the transplant the first year and he replaced it the next year for no cost. Now, two years into starting my project, my forest is really coming to fruition - I never would've been able to do this without Gil and Brooke Run Trees!

His recommendations for all aspects of the work were top notch and he was deliberate, patient and easy to talk to before, during and after our project completion. We were looking to re do our pool area and decking because the concrete deck around the pool was showing age, cracking and sagging in spots and the wood deck I had built around the pool concrete over 25 years ago was moving a bit. We had three different contractors provide specs and estimates. Two were stone guys who would replace the existing concrete and wood decking with stone. One of these contractors had done work for us before. I contacted Jon who explained the difference between doing the work with composite decking and stone. We also learned from a survey I commissioned that we would have issues with permeability if we went with stone. Ultimately Jon recommended we go with the Timbertek product for the decking which would replace all the existing concrete and wood. One of the reasons we chose Jon was that he served as our GC/construction manager for the work. We had numerous trades on the job including carpenters, electricians, pool people, demo teams, landscapers, stone masons, to name a few, and I did not want to be responsible for managing all of them plus overseeing the critical path. Jon served in that role wonderfully. Another really great thing that Jon did was recommend that we do the work in Fall '15. We originally wanted to have the work done in Spring '16 as our daughter was getting married Nov '15 and we, and my wife in particular, were a bit manic about having the work going on during the same time as the wedding preparations. We are both so happy that we had the work performed in the Fall '15. As I write this we are now enjoying our beautiful backyard. This was a major project and big $investment for us. I can relate one other specific instance of why Jon was the right guy for us. Early in the project, during the demolition and removal of the pool concrete my wife Nancy was freaking out. I called Jon who came over immediately and explained to us both that this is always how it is at the beginning of these type of jobs and that this was the worst part and all would be well. We were both relaxed because of Jon. Lastly, it has been ~7 months since completion of the work and there are a few minor items that are still being worked out. Jon has been great in communicating and sending his guys over to deal with these few, minor matters. Again, we highly recommend Jon Kontz, Plant Design, for any home project, large or small. Update: Plant Design Group carried through on their promise to refund the $110 for the missing…read moreplants and gave me an additional $180 in consideration for doing less than what I expected. I hired Plant Design Group to create a garden area of about 200 square feet and plant 34 plants. The job called for removing sod, tilling, mulching, etc. First, they laid out the design and started to remove sod before I gave the OK - consequently there is a part of the lawn where the sod was removed and replaced that has not grown back adequately. More troublesome is the fact that they only created a 160 square foot garden area that contains only 29 plants. When I asked them to finish the job, they only offered to refund me $110 for the missing plants. As for the square footage, they claim their specs only said "up to 200 sq ft' - they claim 160 sq feet satisfies their specs! I expected "up to 200 sq ft" to mean "close to 200". But 160 is 20% less than what I and any reasonable person would expect.
