Lots of fried food that is greasy and not much flavor. Service was ok and the interior is very small.

I'd like preface: 1. Atmosphere is great…read more 2. Staff was very nice. 3. The food that we ate, tasted good. 4. Sat at the bar, drinks and bar staff were nice. 5. We DID ultimately receive a 50% discount on our plate, which I am acknowledging was gracious and I am thankful for. 6. I grew up eating fish, not only at home but in restaurants/bars. I am giving this restaurant a three star review however. We ordered the walleye fish. The two bites I was able to take, definitely tasted good. However, in both bites, I was picking out several bones. Upon inspecting, we found over another dozen bones in the walleye. Bones happen in fish sometimes, but this was an astronomical amount that made it impossible to enjoy the fish or even eat it comfortably. We quietly just told the bartender about the bones and just asked if we could have a portion of the fish discounted because we ate everything else. Which tasted great. We absolutely were willing to pay for everyone else, didn't want a discount on the entire bill. Just a little something for the fish. She talked to her manager and then the manager came out. Now IF the manager had just apologized and offered a discount, this would've been a 4.5/5 review. However, the manager proceeded to give us a lecture about walleye. She insinuated that we never ate walleye before; she said people who don't eat walleye, don't understand that there unfortunately are a lot of bones. And that there was nothing they could do about it. Keep in mind both the bartender as well as the manager acknowledged that the walleye gets several complaints because of the amount of bones. (that sounds like a supplier problem, and should probably be addressed). My family used to own a restaurant in a campground, we served a walleye, we did not have issues with bones. If there ever was an issue, we understood that fish could be unpredictable, and we would just offer a discount and remake the fish. (It happens) Again, I am grateful that she ultimately gave us a 50% discount on that plate. We were more than happy to pay full price for everything else. But having someone give a condescending lecture about walleye, assuming that I have never eaten walleye before was unnecessary. I didn't need the lecture. That alone made put a damper on the entire experience. The way management handles unfortunate situations can make or break it for customers.

1st time stopping in. We are so glad we did as the food was absolutely delicious. We ordered a…read morecombo meal that included 2 hefty pieces of perfectly fried, tender, sweet catfish and 10 shrimp. Our meal also came with slaw and a soda. We also got an order of chicken tenders which came with fries. Their tenders were huge, moist, piping hot and tasty. They offered to dust them with lemon pepper powder which was also a smart choice. Everything is cooked to order which takes time but is worth the wait. All in all, the portions are substantial, relatively inexpensive and very good. The fried to order concept makes for exceptional food. We'll be making this a regular stop from now on.

So, I'm not a huge fan of wingstop. I've been to a few of them in a few different states, and…read moredespite how much I love my hot wings, this place typically never really did anything for me. I remember having fries here at a location in San Diego about 10 years ago, and they were good. But as far as the hot wings go, they're typically under seasoned, dry, overcooked, they just typically suck. Especially the location by my house, that's why I don't go there or to any other wingstops anywhere. So that being said, I can literally say that this is the best Wingstop I have ever been to in My Life, and let me tell you why. I personally think that a place that sells hot wings, and especially specializes in hot wings, should have an ample amount of sauce. Most people including me like them sauced to the gills. It should be an unspoken rule. But I hardly ever get enough sauce on the ones I've got before at other locations. So I've been wanting hot wings since I saw it on a menu from a place I ate at yesterday. I have an ordered Wingstop in a few years, and apparently they have new flavors going on, such as Cajun (which is buffalo sauce with Cajun rub) and lemon hot (which is buffalo sauce with lemon pepper sprinkled on top). They have a couple others, but these are the two that I went with. The dude at the counter taking my order was super cool! I was asking him about the different sauces and he was more than happy to explain them to me. I made the request to have my wings with extra sauce. But did they deliver? YEAH BOY HOWDY! They gave me exactly what I wanted! My wings were super saucy, and I had a good amount of dry rub on top. I ordered 15 bone in, and was only able to get the two different flavors, but I ate them all in one sitting. So here are my gripes. The nice dude asked me if I wanted two things of ranch, so I said sure. I didn't know that Wingstop charges a $1.50 for a little tiny cup of ranch sauce. Nobody else does. Plus one cup is more than enough for 15 wings. Secondly, he asked my name for my order. Told me it would be about 15 minutes, which was fine I'm not in a hurry, but after a while not hearing my name I glanced back and my bag was just sitting there on the counter. Couldn't have been for too long, because when I got back to my truck my wings were still hot, but still, let us know when our order is ready so we can enjoy the food! I'm kind of skeptical to going back to a Wingstop because I don't know if it will be this caliber, but this is definitely the location that Rick Ross needs to send his franchisees to, to learn how to actually make a good hot wing! If I stop back here in belvedere, I'll definitely order another round! ***DISCLAIMER*** This pure, uncut, honest review is federally protected under Federal Law by way of Bill #EO14149.
