I have read all these reviews, the good ones and bad. It's unfortunate that the bad reviewers had such an experience. I myself would give these guys 10 stars if that was an option. I brought my laptop in on Monday and was called Thursday to pick it up. Matthew and Melanie providing the upmost customer customer service I received in a long time (anywhere). When initially bringing in my laptop, I can tell Matthew was totally listening to my concerns and explained to me there process. After a couple days I received a call from Melanie who was very professional and sweet over the phone. She explained to me what was wrong with my computer and asked my permission to proceed with the repairs it needed. A day or two later I get a call from Melanie saying my computer was ready. Let me just end this with a positive note. Matthew was so kind and so was Melanie, that after all this, they gave me a wireless mouse because my old one was no longer working. Now that's what I call service. Great people with excellent service. I highly recommend them! read more

They fix it with 30 minutes and I am just very great full , since I spent all day Friday and half day with yahoo and no help at all. I had this email for 15 years and it was saved. My computer crashed and I took it into my nearby computer repair DA Computers. I was told that they would run a diagnostic and call me with the results. The next day I called them and was told the hard drive was bad and they would attempt to recover data and call when they finished. Again late the next day I called them again and was told that the hard drive was overheating and they were still working on it. Once again the next day I called them and was told they could not get any data off of the hard drive. I then picked it up and called another computer repair who was able to retreive the data within 2 hours. This is not the first time I was told by them that all my data was lost and I should have learnt my lesson the first time but I have now! While on vacation, I spilled a glass of wine in my MacBook Pro. I looked around and saw the terrific reviews of DA computers. I called and spoke to Daniel, who is very friendly. It was only $30 for them to take a look to see how much damage was done. I got a call a little while later saying there was extensive damage and it would be 245 bucks less the $30 that I had already paid. What am I gonna do? They called me back and said they would try and give me a realistic 50-50 shot. The next afternoon, lo and behold, there was indeed extensive damage which Daniel and his wonderful team showed me via multiple photographs. I've never experienced service like this before. But because they couldn't fix the computer, they didn't charge me. Daniel, I complement you and your team on an incredible well run business. I brought my computer into DA for repair. After receiving a $300.00 estimate to replace the RAM stick, I decided to obtain a second opinion. I brought the computer to We Fix and they set the password (which was needed) but said everything else worked fine. Buyer beware! read more

The people at DA Computers are awesome! I could not access the files on my old Sony VAIO hard drive and first took the hard drive to Best Buy Geek Squad. Geek Squad could not get into the drive and told me it would need to be shipped to their "clean room" in another state for "data recovery services." They estimated it would cost $900 to $1,000 to recover the files. I then brought the drive to DA and they pulled copies of all my files for less than $100. On a separate visit to DA, they recovered files off my father-in-laws ancient Mac Performa computer that was not working. They really know what they are doing and I would trust them for any computer repair or data recovery service. read more

I just moved to Palm Springs and was used to my computer guys back in Orange County that always took care of me. When my laptop started having problems with the screen jumping all over the place I jumped on Yelp to get a recommendation. I liked the reviews the DA computer's was getting. I contacted them via Yelp and got a quick response from Daniel. I took the computer in and was greeted by Christina at the front desk that was absolutely wonderful. She even offered soft drinks or water while I was waiting to be checked in. She explained that they would need to keep the computer overnight to run diagnostics. I was contacted the next day and told what was wrong with my laptop. I authorize them to do the repair. When I picked up my computer they explained exactly what was done. I had experienced an additional problem that I told them about with my Gmail and outlook not working together. I have dealt with this for almost a year and Christina said I know exactly what the problem is. She went back into the computer fixed it within 5 minutes. She is my superhero. read more

I really can't comment on their technical prowess but keeping their word leaves a little to be desired. Was looking for laptop repair and decided to try DA again (was there about five years ago). The gentleman that took the computer in told me he would get back to me by the next afternoon or the following morning with an estimate. After no call I went into the shop and lo and behold the computer had not even been opened up let alone check to locate problem. I took the computer back and decided to try and have it repaired elsewhere. I did not ask for the return of the thirty dollar. diagnostic fee but think any reputable business would have offered it. I mistakenly uploaded a Linux operating system to my Seagate Backup Plus Slim 2TB External Hard Drive Portable HDD. DA Computers were very helpful and examined the drive for possible data retrival. They reported that the data could be recovered. I forgot some of the huge data files and older Linux distros saved in the drive. On the day of pickup from DA Computers, the Tech's apologized for keeping the drive longer than anticipated due to the extra time it took to recover all the data and the far too many Linux distros on the drive. They recovered everything -- everything. I was very embarrassed by my forgetfulness but became totally convinced DA Computers is the only computer sales and repair shop in the valley to receive all of my business in the future. 1 star for getting my Macbook computer to turn on after paying $30 for a basic diagnostic. DA MANAGER AND STAFF ARE LIARS. They then said my "hard drive was failing and gave the computer ...AT MOST ... One month". They then tried selling me like used car salesmen to clean the computer for 100 or replace the hard drive for 500. DO NOT GO HERE. These guys were the greatest! I took my Dell laptop in to have some nasty viruses removed. They did the work and then some. They didn't charge me for the extra work that needed to be done because they said they would honor the quote that they had given me. One laptop crashed and they were unable to save it, but we had two others crash and they got them back in working order with no loss of data. Boss bought a used laptop in August. Barely saw any use and in October the screen went out. After having the laptop for 3 months, DA Computers determined they couldn't fix it, so now we have a computer with no working screen. Communication was poor - I continually called to get updates and only once did someone return my call. Wouldn't recommend using them. read more

I went in to this company on the 2nd of January to purchase a power supply. They told me it had to be ordered it will take approx 4-5 days to get. I paid them cash up front for the thing and asked them them to please call me when it comes in my customers computer is apart and needs the thing. 5 days go by I call and to see what is up I haven't heard a thing form them so far. They tell me its in Ontario at the UPS terminal out for delivery. Ok it should be here tomorrow that's the norm when its out for delivery in Ontario UPS terminal 1 day out. 2 days go by NO CALL! I call them I get a song and dance about how its a proprietory part and how it has to come from the manufacturer and all. "BS"! I tell this guy now the other guy just told me it was in Ontario 23 days ago whats up he acts all surprised. I put up with these games for 21 days I finally went back in for a refund THE GUY HAD NO CASH HE HAD TO BEG FROM HIS EMPLOYEES $75 Funny thing I came home and found it online got it in 2 days for $35 THEY ARE RIP OFF SHYSTERS prob gambled my money at the casino. read more
