I didn't expect to be able to find kava in Durham, but here is a cozy kava spot! Kava's a non-alcoholic relaxing drink - if you haven't had it before just ask and they're happy to explain it to you or answer any questions! The kava itself is pretty bitter by itself, but they have a big selection of mocktails, and you can tailor the amount of kava in your drink. It's a small space, but comfortable to relax with friends!

This place is pretty cool! I have never tried kava before but it's very interesting and I'd recommend it! This place also has kombucha, even a kombucha on tap for a really good price! I would definitely recommend going just for that even if kava isn't your thing.

We loved this place. I'll be honest I thought we were going for champagne that was not the case. I appreciated the explanation from the owner I believe. I say that because of her passion. I got the Grab The Bull, so I'm feeling pretty good. I have been clinging my teeth recently from stress and I must say I feel very calm and at ease and noticing a change today in a short time. It's a great place to relax and unwind I highly recommend. Support local!

I was able to try this place from an offline discount that I received. It was such an interesting experience. They have a variety of cocktails, coffee, and a couple of CBD products. It's great that when you arrive you are offered a tasting of Kava as well as the bottled kava. The owner warned of the numbing of the tongue from the kava. Kava is supposed to have relaxing properties and I did feel a little more relaxed after having my kava cocktail. It's important to note that kava is a little bitter tasting but it wasn't so bad with what it was mixed with in the drinks. The location had great natural sunlight and had a minimalist feel to it. The service was fast and friendly and it seems that the owner really wants to educate you on the products. Overall it was a good experience and if I'm ever in the mood for something different like kava this is definitely where I will go!

It's a pretty nice spot! It was my first time having Kava and the seating and décor in the place is nice to study in during the day!

The apple flavor whiskey was not good. Too syrupy and the peach flavor is insanely sweet; may be good in a mixed drink. The sweet potato was good. I could sip that easily. For food I had deviled eggs and brisket nachos. The deviled eggs weren't that good. The nachos tasted good and a nice portion. Though it's not bad, it also wasn't good. My husband and I visited recently for a bourbon tasting, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. Our mixologist, Berkay, was incredibly knowledgeable and engaging. He shared the history behind each spirit and walked us through the tasting notes in a way that was easy to understand and genuinely enjoyable. The food menu was another big win, especially as someone who eats vegan. They offered vegan options, which made the experience feel inclusive and well thought out This is a fantastic spot for date night, a girls' night, or celebrating something special. They also host tastings, cocktail classes, private parties, and bachelor or bachelorette events, which makes it a great option for future plans. Highly recommend if you're looking for a memorable experience in Durham that feels both fun and thoughtfully done.

It looks like a small neighborhood spot, but the moment you walk through the doors, you're immediately welcomed by a charming bakery counter filled with fresh pastries, coffee, and sandwiches. Then, as you make your way to the restaurant in the back, the entire experience transforms into something truly special. The ambiance is absolutely stunning--warm, inviting, and thoughtfully designed. I honestly spent half the meal just taking it all in because every detail was beautiful. Now, let's talk about the food... phenomenal doesn't even begin to describe it. Everything was incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. Our brunch came out surprisingly fast without sacrificing quality, and every bite was bursting with flavor. The service was equally impressive. Everyone was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely seemed to enjoy making sure guests had a great experience. You could tell there was pride in both the food and the hospitality. If you're anywhere near Durham, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit. Whether you're stopping in for coffee and a pastry, grabbing a sandwich, or sitting down for brunch, you won't be disappointed. I'll definitely be back, and this has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants in the area. Five stars isn't enough--this place deserves 100.

It is really low-key and gives off a dive bar atmosphere without the smoke. It looks much smaller from the outside it actually is. I also e joyes their selection of local beers/ciders/seltzers. The second floor has more games including darts. Everything is spaced out great, so no one is on top of you as you are enjoying some games. I ordered some drinks and food. Got the cheese curds and the fried pickles. They were pipping hot and yummy. Got to chat with some of the locals and the bartenders were hilarious. Plenty of options on the beer and drink menu. The prices are super reasonable. May this be why this place was happening last night. Oh, and I got up and sang 2 karaoke songs. One with a regular patron who I just met there. Why not, right? Everyone was having a great time. Definitely will be coming back. Worth checking out!! Karaoke is Thursdays and Saturdays!

It was a short walk from our lovely hotel (the Carolina Inn), but started raining when we first walked out the door so we called an uber which was a very short ride. We were seated right after arriving and I had a nice glass of wine and my daughter a diet coke a few minutes later. The menu looked like a sharing type of meal so we opted for: - pork & chive dumplings: yum - spring rolls: tasty, but my stomach (as always) regretted the fried food the next day - bento box: the hit of the meal - shaking beef: i thought pretty good, but my daughter wasn't a huge fan The service was good and the food was brought out at the perfect pace.
