Followed the advice of other Yelpers and tried this lovely place. It was a small wait ( next door) but the staff was so friendly! We were seated outside- it was HOT but inside was hotter! They immediately brought a bottle of "still" water and 2 glasses. No ice. BUT! Everywhere in Italy we went did not serve ice unless you ask for it. The pasta carbonara was SO GOOD! I ate it all!! The pizza hubby ordered was gone before I got a taste... guess it was good? So if you happen to go to Citivtavecchia Italy... go here!!!

Searching for the right place for a quick snack and drink before boarding our cruise, we found this place lined up with about six others just across from the beach. We chose this for the menu and the ability to sit in the shade. We were happy with the extensive pizza menu. Pizza was very thin and, horrors, I needed a knife and fork to eat the points before I could pick it up but it tasted fine. The local wine was cold but nondescript. I'd get a beer next time. Ambiance was just what we wanted, local, outside, quick. Not the most elegant but simple and good. Recommended if you're dealing with time in Civitaveccia before or after a cruise.

Order the liter of white wine, it is excellent. Fish was fresh and pizza is very good. Tiramisu is also very good. Go enjoy!

Located in an outer neighborhood (you can take a bus from Pizazza Venezia to within a couple of blocks of the restaurant), we had a late reservation but entered to find the comfortable main rooms still active and lively. When our waiter realized we spoke English, he sought out the owner who helped us navigate the large menu of choices and with his encouragement, we made a meal of primarily the restaurant's starters. We had crudos and tartares, raw clams, and plates of fish and vegetables. The food was extraordinary. Probably the best seafood I've ever had, and I grew up on the New England coast and now live in NYC -- I think I know fish. We also enjoyed a delicious Sardinian wine and ended the meal with the owner's treat of two small glasses of a strawberry liqueur, house-made. Our only regret was that it was our last day in Rome and couldn't return to try more things on the menu. We appreciated the restaurant's friendliness, helpful service, and most of all, the superb fish and shellfish. If I can't travel to Sardinia, I can only hope to return soon to Rome so we can eat at Eleonara d'Arborea again.

They are known for the best Truffle anything anywhere. lol. A little tricky to find and very small. Maybe 6 or 7 tables at most. I was surprised when I read the Yelp reviews that a few of my awesome Yelpers also dined here too and gave high marks so I was very excited to give them a try. After ordering some tasty vino we went the Focaccia with mozzarella, black truffle with a truffle cream sauce. The Focaccia was lite and a thin crust. Topped with some delicious mozzarella and black truffle made this appetizer and home run choice. After the Focaccia I decided to stay on theme and went with the Fettuccine al tartufo nero e porcini (fettuccine black truffle & porcini mushrooms). Holy cow, a delicious culinary delight. Some other hits of the table included the beef fillet with green pepper sauce & Digione mustard. Astice grigliato, verdure al vapore e maionese alla curcuma (Grilled lobster with steamed veggies in a mayonnaise turmeric sauce and a Lasagna, tartufo nero, funghi, mozzarella e grana (lasagna with blach truffle, mushrooms, mozzarella and Parmesan cheese) All were just amazing. Impeccable service and an old world Italian charm decor made this a delightful experience.

It was a busy restaurant but we were also there right around the big holiday of Ferragosto but I would wager it was mostly tourists in the restaurant. Our pastas were great; we wanted to stick with the Roman pastas for our dinner. This was also a very convenient location.
