They take forever to acknowledge you even if it's dead, their backs will literally be turned against you or they will be on their phones behind the counter and until you say something or they finally decide to look up, good luck getting their attention. The door literally makes a sound when you walk in but they refuse to acknowledge it. I get the vibe that they don't even like their job, or just dealing with people, which at times I can understand because I work in food service as well but at least smile or say hi? I almost feel like I need to apologize for ordering food because I'm met with nothing but a scowl. Hot food also takes FOREVER to come out-- unless you're ordering thali or dessert; today I ordered just paneer paratha and tell me why it took 20 minutes. There was only one other customer but other than that it was completely dead when I ordered. Now I've only ever purchased takeout from here so I can't speak for dine in experience but the same employees who work at the counter are the same ones I see waiting tables so one can imagine how service might be in that setting. It's a shame because the restaurant is so vibrant and beautiful, and the food is BOMB but the staff just kind of ruins the vibe. I'm still going to order but I hope some attitude changes are made in the future so nobody has to experience that kind of service. Side note, their gajar ka halwa is the best I've ever had. Definitely give it a try if you stop by.

The food was excellent but for the price, the portions were much smaller than what I am used to. The meal was well over $30 for me to order two dishes. The food did not fill the plate.
