I am getting married 9/12/15 and need to get my face photo/wedding ready. I bought a groupon for 3 facials at Dabbo Skin Care. I fell in love at my first visit!!!! Marilyn is AMAZING. I did my first facial the week before my engagement photos. When I was getting my makeup done, my beautician complimented me on how amazing my skin looks. Today was my second visit and I walked out with an amazing glow. I would not trust anyone but Marilyn to touch my skin before my wedding!!! Please note: I work in Beverly Hills and have had many facials done by the estheticians who work on celebrities. They are overpriced and don't do facials half as well as Marilyn. read more

Update: In response to the business owners untruthful response . I was never told of a bereavement or that the business was closed. I'm sorry for her loss. This would explain her very unprofessional behavior. She texted ME when I called, and never asked that we make appointments by phone. The second time I called her, she also texted me back instead of calling me. I sent a screen shot from my iPhone that was clear. It had both my Groupon number and name. I have a text from her clearly stating that my Groupon is invalid. There are a lot of untruths in her response. I would stay away from this shady business. Old Review: I bought a Groupon. I called to make an appointment. She texted she would call me back. I never received a call, so I called and texted again. She was not available when I wanted. No worries. I then tried to text to set up an appointment. I also left voice mail. Bad communication! I was starting to get agitated with this service. Finally, we agreed on a date. She then told me my Groupon and name were not valid and that I should get a refund. I was outraged and told her that I just bought the Groupon a couple of weeks ago. She then said, okay see you on 4/18! I don't know what her deal is, but it left a terrible taste in my mouth. I complained to Groupon and got a refund. This was supposed to be a relaxing experience, but it was just a big headache. This is not the way to run a business. The stars are for being able to set up an appointment, and it seemed like she was going to honor the Groupon. The deductions are for the negative experience doing this. I got a groupon for this place for my daughter to try out their facials. My daughter called to make an appointment for a Sunday and was told they are not opened Sundays. This was the owner, she was busy and said she would call back. She never did. I left voicemail saying it was our first experience there and I was disappointed no call back. She called the next day with a nasty attitude. She then stated she was opened on Sundays. She was defensive and never apologized. This was supposed to be a positive relaxing experience. I canceled my groupon. I would never recommend this place. Poor customer service skills. read more

I started seeing Marilyn around winter time when my skin gets really dry and rough. Her facials hydrated my skin which made a big difference. She really educated me on how to properly take good care of my skin and addressed all my concerns and questions about regimen, the right products specifically for me etc. She has much knowledge and experience. I've been getting regular peels which has made a dramatic change on the tone and texture of my skin, its so much clearer, softer, smoother, and brighter!! I had some dark spots and uneven tone which is now lighter and more even. She's taken before and after photos from a time span of a couple months and there's a HUGE difference! She's a very warm person and makes you feel comfortable. Her studio is small and quaint, just a waiting room and a procedure room. If you want to go to a spa resort then go there, a studio is a studio so I don't know what that other reviewer is talking about. She never pushes any products on you or tries to hard-sell. She uses quality products that have worked wonders on my skin. So I'm the one asking her what she's using on me and how can I get it! I am so surprised there are negative reviews on this studio.. First off let me say I have been trying to correct a skin discoloration for almost fives years!! From pregnancies to breastfeeding my hormones are all over place. My skin has seen it all, but melasma and acne are two major components that I suffer from. I have been to numerous Estheticians and Dermatologists, and paid ridiculous amounts of money only to be disappointment with the results. So when I say Marylin is God sent it should come with some weight! Lol She has me on a routine that has my skin close to perfection. I am very very happy with my results and will go her for the rest of my life! I called multiple times and still no answer . It's very unprofessional I would advise you to take your money else where . Marilyn is a breakout miracle worker! Seriously, I am in my 20s and was having hormonal breakouts worse than when I was a teen. I am one of those people that had tried EVERYTHING... Proactive, murad, dermologica, tea tree oil home remedies, every drugstore brand of face care system and nothing worked. I put SO much work and money into clearing my skin and nothing worked. To say I was frustrated was an understatement. I had pretty much resigned myself to always having hormonal breakouts and then I went to see Marilyn and it was like I was given the skin I always wanted. I am very fair and my skin is very sensitive, so normally I break out from facials. Not here! Marilyn took the time to explain what was happening with my skin, did not try to sell me a million products (which is normally what happens during facials), and told me how to use products I have at home in the right combination to clear my skin. The only two products I added and SWEAR by are the vitamin c serum and the EGF serum but then I could use everything else that I already had. My skin started clearing and has stayed clear for almost one year now! At most a get one blemish every once in a while, but no more hormonal breakouts. I was doing all the work to consistently care for my skin with no results, and now I nurture my skin and actually love it. I love love love this place . Not only is Merlyin so professional she goes above and beyond to satisfy her customers . Her prices are reasonable and she makes sure she finds the best products that's good for you. Her place of estilibishmet is so serene and relaxing. I live a hour and a half away and drive all the way to Torrance and wouldn't go else where . Another thing is she doesn't pressure you to buy products and does what's best for you and your skin. I bought a groupon for a facial for this place and called to make an appointment. I left a message, no one called me back. I decided to make an appointment in person and the office was closed. I rang the doorbell, knocked, etc. It doesn't even look like there's a business here! It looked like it was just an abandoned building. I've gotten a few facials here at Dabbo. Marilyn is great! She's very professional, welcoming, and punctual.She's also is very knowledgeable and recommended only what she feels I need. I got a light treatment because my skin is dry and I also have a bad habit of using a scrub everyday. I did what she recommended that I do and I was able to see improvement on my skin within a few days of going to her studio. I like that I am able to go in and out and carry on with my day with my skin feeling refreshed and hydrated. Definitely recommend coming here. read more

I purchased a voucher from Amazon for a One and a Half Hour Enzyme Facial. It ended up to be a 40 minutes facial. Dabbo is a hole in the wall space operated by this lady. It is a mom and pop operation, no wonder she did not honor the service promised. It is totally disappointing, like being cheated. I originally found Marilyn through one of those on-line deals and now I am a regular customer. She is very sweet, knowledgeable and customized a facial for my skin and concerns (anti-aging and pore size). Then I booked a lunch-time peel and after one treatment my skin looked and felt great! We started with a very mild peel since I have sensitive skin. I now get one every 6-8 weeks (buy a series for better deal) and we have been able to gradually increase the strength. I called the business 3 times to schedule an appointment for a groupon I had purchased, I finally received a call back. The person I spoke with was a bit rude. Yes her appointments were limited and that's a good thing which means she's booked so she must be good at what she does. However, she was really abrupt and then when asked about a Saturday appt, she tells me she usually doesn't schedule groupon appts for Saturday's because people tend to not show up and she loses money. Well, first, this is not listed as part of the groupon requirements, so how can you enforce this. I told her this and she made it seem like she was doing me a favor to take me on a Saturday. She stated, I really need you to show up if I schedule this. If I've called to make an appt, I am trying to use a groupon that I have already paid for. Why would I want to lose my money by not showing up? Also you can't judge future customers based on the past actions of others. If this is a problem then require a credit card to hold the appointment, don't come off as chastising your future customers. I requested a refund on this groupon and called today to cancel this appt. Dabbo Skin Care Studio, will not be getting my business. read more
