This is not by far, a Bass Pro Shop experience, but the location in Olive Branch is centrally located across the street from Target and no Southaven traffic :) Everything was laid out and easy to find. I tried to purchase a gun in my name, I didnt have my gun permit with me, so I used my drivers license, the manager told me I couldnt buy the gun because my middle name wasnt on my license. I replied "I recently bought two guns with my licence in Oxford MS." He replied, "well you can't buy one here, you need to get that fixed." I was walking away this man still talking, its like he was try to provoke me. I laughed it off because it was my wife's birthday and I didnt want to up set her. My wife and I entered the ranage the young lady that was in there saw my wife was nervous, she was very nice and helpful. after we enjoyed the hour in the range my wife said I will buy the gun for you. We asked one of the staff members and they said they had to ask the manager. A few minutes later the manager yells across the room, walking towards my wife and I, No!!! she can't buy the gun because she's try to buy it for you!!! So when I made there was not going to wait because they would process my firearm I waited for a hour no one called finally I went up there the customer service was very poor. And no help at all. Number one the transfer fee was 75dollars. Then they charged. 10dollars for a background. Then charged 8dollars for a convenience Fee which came out to be 92.44. Then turn around and made me sign a waiver just to pick up my firearm. i own over 10 firearms but this is the only gun shop I had to sign a waiver. Not to mention this people act as if they don't want anything to do with black peoples. And treat you like it's all about the green money. I would never get another firearm transferred her nor do business with racist again. Just sad really sad. and they will let you see it. The average Gun store charges 30-50 for a transfer fee. We came to Richard's, I explained what properties I was looking for in a gun and he chose 3 of his top picks at the moment for me to look at and stated if I didn't like any of them, he would give me more options and if we ran out of options he had on hand, he would be more than happy to order more options for me. He made me feel valued and heard, which was more than I could ask for. We have used Richard's Armory for putting on a picatinny rail system on one of our rifles as well and he did a superb job. Overall, this is an excellent armory owned and ran by a very nice, respectful and knowledgeable man. I am forever grateful for my experience at Richard's years ago and will always recommend his shop.
