Wow, what a quaint, quirky, and cool coffee, tea, energy drink, sandwich, salad spot in Temperance, Michigan!! I stopped by this afternoon because I had heard they had good sandwiches. I had no idea this was such a hidden gem and have to share my experience! Upon walking to the entrance, I saw a cozy lounging area just outside. Upon entering, I was greeted by the staff and also soaked in the artsy and upbeat atmosphere inside. It was so unique in a very great way... artwork everywhere and lots of seating possibilities. For some reason, I expected ready-made sandwiches but learned that everything is made-to-order to ensure freshness. The two staff members couldn't have been more welcoming as they introduced me to the DaCapo Coffee family. There is also a location in Lambertville, MI - a sister location in Bedford Township by the same owner. I am sorry to admit that I'm one of those people who tends to special order. I decided on the roasted turkey club but didn't want bacon or mayo, nor did I want the croissant. They were very accommodating and made the the sandwich exactly the way I wanted it. It was also approximately 5:00pm and I was the only customer but I appreciated their flexibility. I took a seat at one of the tables while I waited for my to-go order and admired the cool wood on the tables. It was a reasonable time before my sandwich was ready and the gentleman who made it carried it out to me in a paper bag. As I left DaCapo, I kept thinking about its very artsy, comfortable and positive vibe. Plus, I enjoyed half of my sandwich once home- excellent quality and delicious. I visited DeCapo Coffee while in Michigan visiting my family. I really enjoyed the place and the coffee! The barista was very nice and helped me choose a delicious coffee from the holiday menu. Good vibes. Average drinks. High prices. We've been here a handful of times and always come to the same conclusion. If the drinks were amazing the prices could be justified. Or if the prices were 15-20% lower the drinks would be good value. But just feels like they are trying to squeeze out too much profit. I love both locations! It's so neat that they do monthly flights. I just got the hot chocolate flight and it's fantastic. The staff is always very nice and helpful. The sandwiches are fresh and flavorful. Probably the only coffee shop I can bring my kids to where I don't get judged for just walking in with them, even though they sit quietly. read more

I'm a "I love coffee but I don't want it to taste like coffee" kind of person...so while I haven't been able to find a typical latte here, I do love the bubble tea and bubbles and all the flavors available! We loved visiting DaCapo while visiting family in Michigan! Honestly one of the best caramel lattes I've had. The coffee flavor is so smooth and nutty without being at all bitter. The caramel and sweetness level is Perfect. I add a little extra caramel but that's just my taste. The cafe itself is nice and decorated really cute and the servers are friendly. We tried a few baked items, muffin, brownie and cookies. All really good My daughter in law had a sandwich and loved it too. Skip the big brands and come to DaCapo. Coffee and food was delicious. Owner was very welcoming. I had an iced white mocha and iced caramel macchiato and both were fantastic. Price was a bit steep for an extra shot of espresso but the coffee was worth it. Highly suggest going to this place for coffee or pastries. read more

Was at Bedford High School for a tournament and made the mistake of not having coffee first (gasp!). Apple Maps showed this as the closest to the school and that's one heck of a silver lining when you're going to be stuck inside on a Saturday watching volleyball for hours. Anyhoo ... I'm a little in love with this place. The decor is adorable and the employees were insanely sweet and patient (it was BUSY). Get the breakfast sandwich. I don't know how I have never thought to put onion and chive cream cheese on a breakfast sammy before but these smarties did. Back in town so we stopped in for coffee and were a bit disappointed. First off none of their menus were displaying their coffee offerings so we just went with their special. The special wasn't priced so we didn't realize until we paid that it was over $7 flipping dollars, and then it wasn't that good. It didn't taste like what it was supposed to but instead tasted mostly like sweetened milk. I would give them 2 stars for the taste and 1 star for the price, but I'm leaving them at 3 due to having good coffee in the past and the hope that their other coffee hasn't been super inflated. I don't think I've paid over $6 for any coffee I've gotten in Philadelphia, and I don't care how special the coffee is $7 is a joke. read more

We stopped there before heading east to Vermont. From the yelp listing, I thought there was an outdoor patio so we could sit down with our dog. Unfortunately there was no outdoor seating. But, the people there were so nice. They brought out some chairs for us so we could allow the dog to be with us while we munched on the best blueberry scone I have ever had. Social awareness, would be nice. The baked goods are so good, the coffee is delicious but the atmosphere is a challenge. The workers are always new and never quite sure how to ring a customer out, how big a medium drink is or the prices of the goods. They rarely smile. I have been there several times and each time I go in I am hopeful for a better experience., but each time it isn't better. read more

Buyer Beware of the owner's unprofessional attitude! Talked to Malorie and Kim to order sample cakes for our wedding, they were wonderful. 50 cents per sample was the price quoted. Upon arrival to pickup, my fiancé was told no cupcakes were made. We agreed to pick them up the next day but Dee doubled the price. When I questioned the cost, she called me and angrily said she wasn't making any money on the cupcakes and accused me of lying about talking to Malorie, the baker/decorator. I explained we were planning on ordering our wedding cakes from them for June 2019. As I was stunned over the whole situation, she told me she'd refund half the cost and then hung up on me. I'd never recommend her terrible customer service, drama and certainly not for a planned, important event! read more

Let ol KM tell ya's a lil story about cofee and cookie. Me an my mom (Liz) were in town for a buffet tour of local all u can eats (which is pretty much the only way KM eats these days). After Oceans Gardens china food we hit up the local "hot spot" Pizzas Primo" and gorged our selfs on about 6 pounds of salami (yeah yeah spare me the jokes) pizza pies. Feelin a lil full we dicided to get a couple dozzin cookies from DaCapo (named after the great titanic actor leo). I drank 2 tripple choco lattays while waiting which were good, but the cookies left a lot to be desired for a guy my size. First of all you cant sell a human being cookies that have been stale for 2 days. These kinda tasted like the packinging from a EL Fudge package (take a little lesson from the Keeblar Elfs!) and were NOT good cookies. For $32 dollars for 2 dozzin cookies I expected them to not taste like old Croc bottoms, and you already know KMs history wth that accursed type of shoe. I did that however and wow was she rude! ive had a few items that were pretty gross so I thought I'd call to let them know. To be fair I've had some great items also. But I thought ok this is the third time it's been a problem I will let them know.. omg the manager Amanda should Not be a manager. Going as far as at the end being sarcastic and mocking me. I use to eat there once a week easy because they had one sandwich I loved but if this is how they treat customers no thanks.
