I used to shop here for the bulk of my grocery needs. That stopped for several reasons... I bought a new car, and the temporary plate was stolen while the car was parked in their parking lot. I don't consider this the store's fault, but it certainly reflects the type of people that do shop in this store. Thankfully, the "Einstein" that stole the tag decided to use it on his own vehicle and was arrested. Not sure whatever happened to him, but I had to cough up the money to buy a new tag. About 6 months after that, someone hit the car while I was in the store shopping. No note, nothing. I decided to try to get a copy of the security footage hoping there would be a plate number of the car that hit me. The store security would not release that to me but did say they would only release the footage to TPD. They wouldn't even speak to me (I had to go through the customer service gal at the customer service counter). The store manager wouldn't even speak to me. My car just got hit in your parking lot and management could give a damn. I didn't expect the store to offer any type of payment, but a little compassion for your customer that suffered a loss while patronizing your store would have gone a long way. So, I file a police report. The police wouldn't even try to get the security tape - too busy for such small infractions. I have an almost brand-new car (at this point, 6 months old) with a huge dent in the passenger side rear that's going to cost me my $500 deductible to fix. The total bill was something north of $2,500.00. Take a good look in their dairy case. It's FILTHY. The meats almost always have an expiration date no more than 2 days away. There are always expired foods on the shelves. The prices marked on the shelves never match the actual price when the item is rung up at the register. The place is just awful. Between the filth in the store, the A-hole customers and A-hole management, and all of the expired crap on the shelves, you have to be really careful when shopping here. I would suggest going to the store on Central. Much nicer. read more

I do appreciate a giant Meijer! This Toledo location does not disappoint. It's well lit, clean and has a large selection of all the things. Somehow, I always feel like the women's clothes section is a little lacking compared to some other locations so maybe when they stock just isn't to my taste. But, they have a good produce selection with the best grapes as well as meats and specialty foods. The frederik's brand chips and trail mixes don't disappoint. I also find more trail mix and specialty items at this location versus others. It's self checkout so my customer service experience is low but everyone has always been pleasant. read more

I was told my script would be ready at 230pm for literally two days in a row. The second day I assumed it would finally be ready which was a huge mistake on my behalf. I took the trip up there and was told it might not even be until Monday that my script would be ready!! Terrible experience. Do NOT fill your medication here if you genuinely need it on time. read more

When i moved to Delaware, one of my biggest regrets was leaving Meijer behind. And that turned out to be valid. The produce section alone would make a fine store, but Meijer is a generally well stock, clean, well lit store with consistently friendly associated. Taking my Mom there in the evening on a visit reinforced my desire for Meijer to expand to Delaware. We need you! read more

I love that they are open late. They have a nice vegan/vegetarian selection. I'm usually in and out pretty quickly.

Billy Idol's chick must have really liked this gas station. Cuz in the midnight hour, she cried Meijer, Meijer, Meijer. With a rebel yell, she cried Meijer, Meijer, Meijer. This gas station was pretty awesome in the sense that the price was a good $0.30 cheaper than across the border in Michigan or even more than that. They didn't mind me hanging out here for a while, and the bathroom was fine. They sold pretty good bottled water. The employees were complaining loudly about something, while sitting outside the gas station smoking, but then I don't hold that against them at all. I'm glad this place was here especially considering the similarly priced gas station at Pilot across the street was out of order. read more

Stopped in to purchase a case of Yuengling. Michigan doesn't sell this beer. This is my favorite beer. There was plenty of it stocked. The young lady at the you scan was very friendly. I didn't really wander the store at all. Just went right to the beer isle and to the register. read more

This is a Pharmacy review. If I could give them a zero, I would. The service is beyond bad. If I call in several prescriptions and they call me my prescription is ready, I go there and they only have part of them. Sometimes I have to go back 5 miles, two or even three times to get them all. My last visit was my last time for the pharmacy. I was trying to fill my asthma inhaler as I was out. They said they called Dr. for prescription medicine but my insurance no longer pays for it and for me to call Dr. to get something else. I had three or 4 conversations. over this mess. I called Insurance Co. myself and got the name of a substitute inhaler and Meijer told me it was covered. The technician had the new brand in her hand and very rudely said to me, "do you want to pay $265.00 dollars for this or get a prescription one for $65.00? "I called head pharmacist and told him what happened and he should do something about her attitude. At the end of our conversation I asked the Pharmacist if he was going to speak to her. "He said, yes, you have drummed this into me, it is an internal matter." I drove back to the Dr. and picked up a new prescription of what the technician held in front of me and dropped it off at Meijer and did some grocery shopping. I went to pick up prescription and they said it was $ 178.00. Another technician said that was what it was. not nicely either. I was shocked but needed the inhaler as I had been without it for a week now. I paid it. When I got home I called the another Meijer to check on this they said they ran prescription thru Good RX. I was not asked nor authorized this. I really am saddened by this as I love Meijer but cannot go back. read more

They did an amazing job remodeling this Meijer. I go here to get my kids birthday cakes and they are ALWAYS amazing. I get alot of compliments on the cakes. They are wonderful. This Meijer is clean and I can always find what I need. read more

This is the first exit into Ohio from Michigan. Its not to difficult to exit and re-enter the highway. We typical will fill up with gas at this Meijer or with one of the competitors along the road. So we have fuel and food options. This is a typical Meijer, not a one of the newer superstores, but it has the grocery and all the other departments - clothing, pharmacy and electronics to name a few. read more

I have shopped at this store for many years. Today was my LAST. For the second time I went to purchase coffee on sale that was 1.99 if you bought 5. This was the first day of the sale and they were totally wiped out again. How about restocking or placing a limit? There were customers leaving with this item the cartfull. Waste of my time. I love Meijers!! I used to originally shop at Krogers because it was nearer, but switched to Meijers because they are so much better! The staff are good, the prices are reasonable, the place is clean, there are no fights and arguments (unlike Krogers where there was one every time I shopped). I am a Meijers shopper for life!!! I used to like Meijer a lot. Their meat dept. was first-rate and they had a wide ranging inventory of name brand food items. The meat department has me ticked off now. I bought a chuck-eye roast yesterday and I separated the two lobes of meat as I usually do. The smaller piece I cut up to use in chili or stew. The larger one I tie into a roast shape and make a nice roast beef dinner in the pressure cooker or crock pot. Here's the stats: Size of chuck-eye roast: 3.49 lbs. (that's 55.8 oz.) Size of the larger lobe of meat: 17 oz. (come on! It should've been around two lbs.) Size of smaller lobe of meat: 12 oz. So I got 29 oz. of usable meat from a 55.8 oz roast. That's 52% usable and 48% waste (much of it that hard fat that doesn't melt into the meat). Why didn't I return the meat? It was raining like crazy today and I just didn't want to get soaked and then have to deal with their slow customer service. That's it for me, I'm buying ALL my meat from Costco from now on. And their brand name food items are getting squeezed out by Meijer's store brands. Soda, cookies, paper cups, you name it. Meijer's is like a small child that just learned how to write their own name and they're PUTTING IT ON EVERYTHING. It's not like their Meijer branded items are equal to or better than the national brands, they're often inferior. I tried to find some dried kidney beans for a red beans and rice dish and all they carried was the Meijer brand and they looked like they were found in King Tut's tomb. Wrinkled and pale in color, they looked like something thrown away by a quality brand. Even Aldi store brands are superior to Meijer. I'll still visit the store to cherry-pick but I'm not going to do much of my shopping there anymore. read more

We love Meijer's to get almost everything. The produce is always fresh and good, the bakery items are fresh and tasty also. The prices are good, especially the Meijer brand which I found out comes from the same places as the national brand names, only costs less. Same good quality and flavor, sometimes better in taste. Anyone who bad mouth's Meijer's brand product's don't know what they're talking about or lying. I've never had a problem with their postal service, customer service, cashiers or people who stock the shelves. I've always found them to be friendly and helpful. Some times I've asked the vendor's who bring their products into the store questions thinking they worked there. They always refer me to the Meijer's people stocking the shelves. I'm glad Meijer's is close by and there are other's for other area's. One reviewer suggested the size of a roast he/she bought was small and that person would rather buy from Costco. Costco is where the boneless pork chops were made from "Pink Slime" which they've quit selling. Meijer's meat isn't made from "Pink Slime". They have more than one grade of meat and poultry and everything is naturally different weight's. Costco's meat department will not cut meat to order, Meijer's meat department will. You pick out what meat you want and they'll cut it however you want it. Costco's is a good place to buy in bulk, I'm sure that Meijer's has better prices for what people normally buy in a week's time. They always have things on sale displayed in the center aisle or on the ends of the rows. I'll stick with Meijer's for my weekly shopping. read more
