The pictures on their menu seem deceiving as some of the dishes did not look like what we received. I liked their Laing, lengua, crab paste with rice, veggies with tuyo, etc. I did not like their calamansi drink or fresh buko drink. The buko seemed to be opened already so the outside turn brown. Their desserts like mango and cream pie was very good with fresh mangoes on top but was missing the ingredients in the middle like in the menu image. We started out with some appetizers in the fashion of Filipino street food with the gambas+longanisa and satay sampler. But even prior to that, we were given bread with pate while waiting for our orders. We couldn't decide on what to order so we got both the chicken and chorizo rice and garlic aligue rice with chicharron. We matched these with the grilled beef belly and ox tail and trip kare kare. As if these were not enough, we also sampled the paksiw na boneless bangus belly with roasted coconut. Unlike the traditional paksiw with the more prominent sour taste of the vinegar, I liked this better because the coconut added some sweetness to it. Because we loved it so much and we didn't get to taste the pork belly, we came back for a second time. We again had the same set of rice, but this time we made sure we had the roast pork belly with tamarind rub. we were not able to try it the first time as we were too early. I was surprised at how pricey their food was given the interiors of the resto was really simple - like an airconditioned carinderia. This was because their food portions were big. I got the seafood in a regular plate. It came with shrimp, squid, tanigue and alimasag. The sauce was too rich and thick I lost interest in the dish after a few bites. The alimasag had no meat in it at all. Would have been better if they replaced it with more shrimp or squid. I didnt eat the complimentary soup because it used meat stock. My friends liked their sisig and chicaron bulaklak. Overall I wasn't impressed. If you are a meat eater you might love their food.

This restaurant specializes on those two dishes and they do it in utter perfection. This a small establishment seated in the confines of Nuvali. It's a simple restaurant that probably has a seating capacity of 30 people. They have a wide menu of your favorite Filipino dishes that it's such a family friendly place. Everything is served family style and comes to you very fast. The food is so good that you'll just keep wanting more. The best part is that you can take home marinated Bangus and just fry it at home whenever you're looking for this particular, wonderful taste.

CONS: The servings of rice are fine, but the word that I could think of when it comes to their viand is "sporadic." Like it's so little, that they look sad and splotchy. If you thought that the amount of rice is a redeeming factor, it isn't because it doesn't taste good as well. It's like old rice fried again and again that it feels like pebbles in your mouth - hard and dry. Their grilled meat is rubbery and burnt at the sides. And the salads look pitiful. I don't want to think that just because it's a provincial branch means that they have less food quality, but Seafood Island just gave us that impression. One of my friends who ate with us tried the one in Techno Hub and he said that this is not how the food is supposed to be. TL;DR: There are way better options of dining out in Nuvali than this place. Today Nov. 1, 2018 I asked a server for additional mayonnaise and he responded by pointing out the tartar sauce. I gave him reasonable time to bring my request, not only did he not bring my rrquest, he totally forgot about me. I asked another server for the same, and additional tartar sauce. He brought the mayo, and no tartar sauce. They do not re-visit customer to ask or upsell anymore products. Or just ask how is the food or if they're ok. This is TGIF, an international brand restaurant. In the U.S. Just spoke with their assistant manager, let see if this branch improves.
