The Good: Authentic Cebu Lechon at an affordable price!
The Bad: Parking was quite difficult :(
The Pro-Tip: The Sinigang na Banget and Qubiertos Rice was a pleasant surprise!
While looking for a new place to eat along Kapitolyo, Joey and I stumble upon Qubiertos. Having just opened 2 weeks ago, we decided to try it out! it turns out that the restaurant is a popular Cebu Lechon/Drinking place from Cebu and Pamapanga!
We decided to give their best seller the Cebu Lechon, a try! Boy, it did not disappoint! The meat was perfectly cooked and seasoned just right! Pretty comparable to Cebu Lechon from Cebu! My only qualm with the serving was that there wasn't alot of skin for the amount of meat.
We also decided to be adventurous and try the Sinigang na Bagnet and the Qubiertos Rice! The Sinigang na Bagnet is what you would imagine it to be. Thick Bagnet cuts served in the traditional Sinigang soup with a health serving of veggies. The Bagnet was well cooked and the soup was satisfyingly thick - overall a very good dish! The Qubiertos rice is Adobo fried rice topped with Adobo Flakes and Eggs. It went pretty well with the Lechon, but no so much with the Sinigang. Here's the kicker - for just P40, the Qubiertos rice turns into Unli-rice after your first bowl!
Definately worth checking out if your in the area! read more
