There is a reason a company lasts over 60 years in business and has an A+ rating with the Better Business Business Bureau. I too dealt with one of the owners sons (Bill) and my experience was wonderful. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. I will definitely contact Dacraft in the future for any home improvement needs. I normally would use a site like this to complain about poor products or services but I believe Bill went the extra mile for me and deserved some acknowledgment for going above and beyond. DaCraft told us they would start our room in November of 2021. That didn't happen. The person who was supposed to keep in contact with us, did not. My husband had to keep calling him. Eventually my husband just ended up texting him because of how nasty the guy spoke with him over the phone... he wanted records of how he spoke. They finally began working on the room in mid March of 2022. Two days after they were complete, we noticed the room was leaking from the seams of the ceiling and all around the baseboards. Tried getting a hold of them so they could come back out. With poor communication on their end, they reluctantly came out to look at it. We were told they would be at the house around 2 in the afternoon. They didn't show up until after 7 p.m. We weren't home so they had to come out the next day. The guy who came out argued with my husband saying "their" room wasn't leaking and that we didn't know what we were talking about. He eventually "caulked" where he assumed it needed it (the room was definitely not caulked up against the house, you could see straight outside where the room met the house). Here we are at the end of June 2022 and the room still leaks from the floor, the seams on the ceiling and the seams above the windows. I have pictures and videos (of active leaking). read more

love Our awning but poor customer service

just now If I could give negative stars I would! I have an all season room that is now 2+ years old and have experienced nothing but problems with it. Initially 3 of the 4 skylights leaked every time time it rained, 2 corners of the room leaked and also leaked through a ceiling fan! After months of trying to get the owner Roger Wax to address the issue a new roof was installed. This resulted in breaking the seals to several windows resulting in moisture between the window panes. Another several months of getting owner Roger Wax to address. He then sends his son Jeff to install new windows...resulting in the wrong windows being installed-some that will not even lock! Rogers solution: "try to switch them around and let me know if that works". After months of trying to get them to fix these issues and make it right, Roger Wax is now ignoring my calls. And just this week we now have black and brown mold growing in the room!!! All Roger Wax wants to talk about is the amount of $$ this job has cost him, a lack of warranty with the window company he deals with, the amount of time it takes somebody to get to my house to resolve these issues and how much his wife bitches about him working so much. Really??? Add this to your list of gripes Roger Wax-----a huge lawsuit!! read more

For a 50+ year old company, you'd expect better. Well, don't. So far my husband and I have had to babysit them every half hour to insure that the system is installed correctly (we both have a lot of construction experience from the past). Although they are nice people, so far, my husband has had to hold their hands through the entire process; after nearly falling off the roof (I was holding the bottom of the ladder as a precaution - it went out, I got a slashed lower leg that's still healing, hubby almost came off the roof - which about caused my heart to stop), he had to show them how to set a ladder jack system up correctly, and is still trying to get the super to set up a proper load bearing safety harness system (work in progress), provided our 40 foot ladders in addition to the half-baked crap the super (a.k.a. boss's son) keeps providing the poor worker guys with. Hubby also bought them the correct drill bits, and when the super didn't show, my hubby helped the regular crew, and they finished the back of the garage in 1 1/2 days (took 3 weeks for the front of the garage). Didn't show up again today. The story continues... Worst construction experience ever, and I used to inspect buildings and teach building codes in Ohio, as well as have Rutgers fly me up to teach codes classes for NJ and NY code officials. I'm just so frustrated with this outfit. Maybe they'll be done for Christmas. I'm not holding my breath. read more

Had a 16x24 porch put on the back of my house. First big rain and water is pouring in the ceiling fan they installed. I was happy up until that point. I have called and emailed trying to get them to fix the NEW LEAKING roof they installed and its just not happening. I sent pictures. One time Tim Pearson told me he thought they had fixed it already and I told him no. I am frustrated. I like the look of the roof but they need to fix that leak. Not just that it should be warrantied but because it was never right in the first place and I sent pictures and emails showing that issue. read more
