My wife and I attended the Bruno Mars concert in Nashville and Daddy's Dogs was a vender. My wife was excited to try the food so we stood in line. When we placed the order the service rep informed me he would not modify the hot dog and not put relish on it. This was disappointing because I was looking at a hot dog next to me with no relish. I asked if I could have one just like that and he said he would not. There is a different set of rules for "some people". I'll never go again and I think Nissan Stadium should reconsider their contract. Not offering the same service to "All" customers is not the attention Nissan Stadium needs. This is so bad because they're parked right outside the bars and smell sooo good! When you're drunk it's a dangerous game! I was visiting from out of town and heard I had to try it. I got the Big Daddy's and they do not mess around! It literally is a huge hot dog with pickles, jalepeno, cream cheese, and daddy's sauce. This hot dog stand was built up by so many drunk people at Winners I was so stoked I held my hungry appetite for two hours before they got there. Maybe it was a bad night for the guy working but he arrived over 30 min late and then wouldn't make eye contact or explain what was happening to anyone. We ended up going back into the bar and listening to Whiskey Jam tunes then coming back out in another 30 min. Mind you, I haven't eaten since around 11 am that day and am completely famished. We finally order and I go for the Loner Dog which is the most basic weiner they have. Literally: Bun + dog + ketchup, mustard & relish. How can you go wrong? He finished making my 3 friends and my hot dog in a very quick manner which was awesome but also kind of lame because my buns were cold and hard yet had char marks on them. So the effort was there to toast them just a little rushed and tasted pretty terrible. The dog itself wasn't bad so I ended up taking off the bun and just eating the messy mustard covered dog itself. It was super acidic and probably not worth waiting hours for, but it fed me for $5 and my friends loved their crazy Big Daddy masterpiece dogs. I had a very unprofessional experience with this place at the Titans game. When I was checking out on the portable device they provide, it gives you an option to leave a tip and when I looked, the worker had already selected my tip amount before I had a chance to. After trying their "Big Daddy," I realized that I was still young and naive and have much to learn. They have about 6-7 varieties of Hot Dogs with a bunch of amazing toppings on them. Everything is made to order, so eating the whole thing becomes a messy and hot experience. The only bad thing about their dogs is that there's so much stuff on it, that it's hard to eat! Daddy's Dogs are the perfect drunk food Bought these at a concert my husband and I were at and dang did they hit the spot! I had one with peach and jalapeño on it and let me tell you, I did not expect it to be as delicious as it was! The ONLY reason that I won't give this a 5 star is because these hot dogs are HUGE and this place didn't have knives available to cut it up with. This just seems like common sense. I'm just not one to want to spill all the deliciousness down on my clothes when out on a date with my hubs. Sadly, I threw half of the hot dog away bc I got too frustrated trying to cut it with a fork I'll definitely buy these dogs again if they have some solid utensils around so I can enjoy the full thing. Man. Let me tell you... This place is delicious and spot on. The dogs here are plumb and juicy. You have various of choices to choose from. I think around 8-10 choices if i remembered correctly. I had the Chicago Dog and a New Yorker. I can't remember the proper name but both were superb. I almost wanted to get another one but it was already late and didn't want to regret it later at the gym for over eating. My friend ordered the Big Daddy Dog. I took a bite and man it was 'slap yo mama' delicious. Its conveniently located a few steps from Kung Fu Saloon. I enjoyed my first visit to Daddy dog's after I ran some errands and stopped in on a slow Tuesday to get a to go order for lunch. Even though they made a mistake with my order, I ordered the Carolina dog with extra jalapeno, and they left off the coleslaw, I can still report that the dog was tasty and worth the 7 dollars plus tip. It seems that the toxic waste dump part of town is attempting to revisit and reimagine it's image as being the location of toxic waste spills and the prison industrial complex zone. Good on them. These hipsters even offer a 40oz miller high life served in a champagne bucket for $8. Gentrification has never looked better! I like the dog at Daddy dog. It has a satisfying crispyness to it because they grill the dog after boiling it. The bun was burnt, but I don't care to complain too much. They can't help it. I don't imagine that if their little shop succeeds that they will find much work outside of this business because the help is covered head to toes with tattoos, eliminating them from most productive positions in society. Though I Imagine these sorts don't really care to look like they belong in society given their willingness to brand themselves with tattoos and prevent a proper burial. Disappointed that there are so many positive reviews and we never got a chance to eat a dog. Tonight on our way home the the CMA Fest we ordered 2 hotdogs. I thought my husband only pulled out 2 $5 bills. I mentioned to him that he needed another one and he showed me the money and there was 3 $5s and 2 $1s. When the vendor took our money my husband saw him put something in his pocket and then he tried to tell us we hadn't paid enough. My husband was so upset that we left without our dogs or our money. Alright. I like hot dogs but never really loved them. They were something you munch on to fill you up at a backyard BBQ. Easy to cook. I was out in Midtown one night and I saw this hot dog stand. Was kind of hungry and they caught my eye. I ordered the Seattle dog and the guy running the cart (I'm guessing it was "Daddy" by the huge beard) was so personable and coo while I waited on my dog. He fixed it up for me and was a lot bigger than I thought it'd be. Ton of toppings! They don't skimp. First bite I was hooked. Easily the best hot dog I've had. Not only are the hot dogs amazing, the dudes that run the stand are so kind and friendly! The other day I was picking up one of their delicious hot dogs, and I got across the street and accidentally dropped the hot dog. I created a Yelp account just to review Daddy's Dogs. Although they often run out of coke and some chips the later in the evening it gets, and sometimes are not available on my main food service apps, they still perpetually provide perfection. I haven't had a bad dog yet, I've had them all, and every time I eat something they created I become lost in the dog. It is one of the few reliable experiences I have left that allows me to be completely lost to anything but that moment. I have spent my last cents of my paycheck there more times than I can count. I live in NY "the city with so many dog stands" I was vacationing in Nashville and luckily enough Daddy's Dogs was set up right around the block from my hotel me and a friend had went over to check it out and not only were they super nice they have the best dogs (and chips/soda) ever and I can definitely suggest the NY'er as a NYer!
