When a place calls itself "The Best Meat on the Street," you've got two choices: Walk away. Or order a hot dog and find out. At nearly 2:00 in the morning, my wife and I chose Option B. Daddy's Dogs delivers exactly what you'd hope for from a late-night Nashville hot dog stand. The dogs are big, have a satisfying snap when you bite into them, and look good enough that you'll be tempted to take a picture before eating them. We both went with the New York Dog: mustard and sauerkraut. Simple. Classic. Delicious. And let's be honest, when it's pushing 2:00 AM, your dining options become a lot more limited. The fact that Daddy's Dogs is there serving hot food when much of the city has called it a night earns points all by itself. Now for the plot twist. By the time we got back to our hotel, both of us were dealing with stomachaches. Coincidence? Maybe. Bad luck? Possibly. The hot dogs tasted great going down, so I'm not ready to convict anyone based on one experience. Still, I can't completely ignore it either. So here's where I landed: Good food. Convenient location. Conveniently located on Printers Alley, this little shop is for a perfect for a late night after bars drunchies! They have a variety of hot dog based on different cities like Seattle, Georgia, and Chicago. There's only one person working so the wait can be a little bit, but it's worth it. The hot dog was juicy and they toast the bread. Seattle dog was interesting with a spread of cream cheese! The Georgia one had peaches which was also another first on a hot dog for me and I loved the sweet/salty compliments! Daddy's Dogs was exactly what we wanted for the end of the night! read more

Nothing like a hot dog place in an alley in Nashville. It smelled amazing might because we came out of Bourbon Street Blues in historic Printers Alley and got a late night snack to help offset early morning hangovers. We ordered the big daddy because it was unique and it did not disappoint. I've never had a hot dog with cream cheese but you are missing out. Two people can share this but who am I kidding, I could have smashed the full thing. read more

Veggie dogs!!! YUMMAY! We stopped by the location at The Factory with Vegan friends and meat eaters. Something for everyone! They have veggie dogs and they will take any of dogs on the menu and take those ingredients but put a veggie dog in it. They take longer to cook so be patient it is worth it! JUST WOW...I have no words on how amazing this hot dog was. I ditched my friends to try this hidden gem. I indulged in the Carolina dog, which was topped with sweet coleslaw, bacon, bbq sauce and a secret sauce! It was to die for...soo perfect that I convinced my friends and husband to order one for themselves. They ended up ordering a total of 3 of the same hotdog because that's how delicious it was. I love how they make the hotdogs extremely fast. I ordered and within 2 minutes, it was sitting in my hands. The staff was friendly and attentive. Honestly this was the best hot dog I have ever had in my entire existence. I'm from Miami so I have tried many different style of hot dogs but this by far has been my favorite. I wish there was a location in Florida. You have to try this spot if you are ever in Nashville! It is a MUST! read more

We were hungry after a concert and hanging out downtown and a bartender recommended coming here. I love printers alley, so it was an easy sell and easy to find. The line was long, but moved fast. We both got the dog with everything on it. It was so big I couldn't really eat it without dissecting out. A wish there was less bread, but over all great late night snacks!! read more

I did not eat at Daddy's Dogs, but they deserve 5+ stars for the experience I just had. An unlabeled old minivan shows up trying to pick up the vulnerable drunk of Broadway. Instantly, a Daddy's Dogs member of staff calls them out for their illegal behavior. The driver was clearly intimidated and into some trafficking/creepy stuff. Staff took pictures all around the car and reported to police. These folks look out for the greater community and deserve all of your drunk dollars. I got a chance to eat here with a friend when Daddy's Dogs hosted a food truck at a music concert at Centennial Park! We got the Big Daddy and New York Dog. TLDR: Get the Big Daddy Dog, New York one is just ok. They have a vegan option for all of the hot dogs. Big Daddy: We got Big Daddy Dog loaded with all the goods (jalapeños, cream cheese, bacon, pickles, and secret sauce). Let me tell you that they were so generous in the amount of each topping that went on this hot dog. The flavors meshed together nicely and this was a lot more filling that I expected. Will definitely be eating this one again. The bun was cooked just right, not soggy but not overly toasted either. This was one of the best hot dogs and I'm craving another one of these already. I give this dog a 5/5. New York: We got a vegan version of this one with the kraut and spicy mustard toppings. There was way too much kraut loaded on this dog in my opinion. It was overpowering and I had to scrape half of it off my hot dog. After I did so, I liked the combination of the spicy mustard and the tangy-ness of the kraut. The vegan dog tasted very similar to an actual dog and I could barely tell the difference (this is when you know it's done right). I do wish the vegan dog had been a little bigger and the same size as the meat one. It got a bit buried in the bread. I do appreciate them having another pan to cook the vegan dog on their grill so it wouldn't touch the meat. I probably would try another vegan one but wouldn't get the New York one again. Averaging out the awesome Big Daddy and the meh New York one for a total of 4/5 stars for Daddy's Dogs! read more

We just happened to stumble upon this place after a night of drinking (early march) and it was a pleasant surprise! I was in Nashville with my friends to celebrate them getting married soon and we were bar hopping. Towards the end of the night, everyone was getting ready for bed but I was hungry and looking for a food place and Daddy's Dogs was super close so i stopped by. I ordered the Lone Wolf which is a Daddy Dog topped with ketchup, mustard, and relish and it really hit the spot. I liked that they had so many different types of combinations available on their menu and they also had vegan dogs so my one friend was able to enjoy a hot dog as well. It may have been the drinks talking but i thought this hot dog was amazing! definitely a great late night meal after a night of drinking. read more

This hot dog will change your life. Everything is delectable. My friend doesn't eat meat and she had to have one. She said it was one of the best decisions she has ever made. I researched where to go when I was in Nashville. I really wanted to go to this place. I especially wanted a tshirt. But no dice. We have lived in Nashville for over a year, and Daddy's Dogs is a staple at all events and always slaps. This time we got a Mac Daddy, Chili Dog, and a Carolina Dog plus some loaded tots. Plus $5 beers from jackalope brewing! Always a good choice. The Mac Daddy is my favorite with Mac n cheese and the secret sauce! I always add that pickle for extra crunch. The chili dog is a great classic! The Carolina has coleslaw, which is an interesting choice in my opinion, but my fiancé loves it! The buns are fluffy and toasted, and the hot dog is so juicy. The tots were delicious and massive! Highly suggest sharing those. If you are visiting Nashville, there is no escaping Daddy. Just give in and try them you won't regret it. read more

Still scratching my head. Went to Daddy Dogs at the Factory. The kid asked if it was okay to wait 10 minutes for our dogs. We told him no problem and sat down. As I pulled up my barstool, he served my wife a grilled dog and tater tots. She had to eat it before it got cold, while I waited another 10 minutes for what I thought would be a Chicago dog. When wouldn't he serve us both at the same time. We came together for lunch and ended up eating at 2 different times. Now my dog comes out. I figured it took longer because he was boiling it, bit it was also grilled so could have come out at the same time. To make matters worse, my Chicago dog was nothing like a Chicag dog. It came on a plain grilled bun, not poppy seed. It was grilled, not boiled. It didn't have peppers, relish, or salt. The tomatoes were canned, not freshly sliced. It did come with mustard, onions, and a pickle spear. In addition, my wife only ate half of her hotdog as it was flavorless. What a monumental disappointment. As for ambiance, there wasn't any, nor did we go there for a cool vibe. We went there for the hyped up dogs. If you want a real Chicago Dog, go to Paddle Dog in Westhaven. read more

I would have given a 4star if the bun wasn't so cold and felt stale. The hot dog itself was very good, I think they boil it in beer cause it tasted like a little like that. Made it really good. I did a NY Dog which was kraut and spicy mustard, but I also added the chili on top. Very good except again for the bun. I also felt like the bun was just to much bread. Only street pickup. Went there Friday evening around 10:20pm. Waited 10min not bad. It is all about hot dogs. Hit a Chicago style one - $8.00. For what I got on quality and amount a very very fair price . I paid more for much less. Overall would go again. Only bad place, you have no place to eat it or at least cut your hotdog. Not gonna lie after a night out downtown drinking and dancing you can work up a real appetite and Daddy's Dogs is my #1 choice of a late night meal. This location is a food stand in printer's alley. The hot dogs are pretty loaded up with toppings and they have some good flavor combinations. My favorite is the Music City which is bacon, onion, cheddar cheese and barbecue sauce. It is on the indulgent side but if you're going to eat at 2 am then I say just go all in. I've also gotten the New York which is sauerkraut and spicy mustard--a classic. The hot dogs themselves are tasty and the toppings make them even better. The employees are friendly and the wait is never too long. It is also convenient if you are downtown. Gotta love having a good old hotdog stand after a late night of going out. Venue - Well its just a hot dog stand, seems clean and professional. Food - Great tasting hot dogs with bomb toppings and always has that great fresh flavorful taste. Prices - A bit high but all worth it after a long day and night of hanging out on Broadway. Born from the 'Late Nights' in the touring industry, we came back to our own Music City wanting to do what Nashville does best; create something ICONIC. Because in a city where everything is at its best we weren't about to let the hot-dog be overlooked. So we just did it. And not knowing what creating the oxymoron of a 'gourmet hot-dog' would look like, we just threw everything at it; most of it stuck; piled high. So we give you DADDY's DOGS!

Meet the Business Owner: Sean P.

This is Sean, but you can call him Big Daddy. Sean earned his name for two reasons. One: The beard. Two: Because Sean only dreams BIG. And as such, he makes one BIG dog. There's no one better to tell you that "Size Matters!"

I asked if I could have one just like that and he said he would not. There is a different set of rules for "some people". I'll never go again and I think Nissan Stadium should reconsider their contract. Not offering the same service to "All" customers is not the attention Nissan Stadium needs. I hate to think it could have been racial thing.

However, they have many fun hot dog flavors on their menu that I'd be willing to go back and try! But I am not sure I detected a speck of salt or pepper. The steak was at least tender and the sunny side up eggs were cooked appropriately. The potatoes were dry. And I did have the wagyu meatball appetizer. It's a large portion, so easily shared amongst two or three people. Cheesy and saucy with a little spice. The focaccia could've been toasted a little more. I considered the short rib hash, but my server told me it could be salty and hit or miss (I appreciate her honesty and she 100 percent should be praised for it). I came during brunch (even on a weekday). They also serve French toast, desserts, oysters, burrata, potstickers and tuna tartare, salads, burgers and other sandwiches. If you come for lunch or dinner, you can also get grilled salmon, blackened redfish, shrimp and grits, pastas (cajun chicken, pappardelle bolognese, tortellini) as well as various cuts of steak. It's conveniently located right across from the Frist Museum and is part of the Union Station Hotel. I would try this place again for dinner, but would skip the brunch. And again, Savanna was top tier! She deserves all the flowers!

They also brought toys for her daughter, which was a thoughtful touch and made her feel welcome. The food was amazing. The wings were some of the best I've had, and the lo mein, bulgogi and fried rice were all excellent. Throughout our meal, several people who I assume were managers stopped by to make sure everything was going well. I was genuinely impressed by the level of service.
