May 3 115 pm: very busy, sat at the counter. I had hamburger steak, mashed taters, veggies, tx toast. Steak was one step away from being too cold, taters 2 steps away, tx toast hard and cold, salad OK. Wife had fried chicken said it was dry and overcooked. Shared a drumstick, I did not like crust, dried and over cooked. Took almost 25 minutes to get food but it was VERY busy. read more

The 50's decor is cool and the wait staff are nice and attentive. The food was delicious BUT I have to speak truthfully. I was disappointed in my steak and eggs meal. After cutting into my steak I cut off all the fat and grisle. I got 4 oz of steak and about 6 oz of fat! After complaining to the manager he said I should've complained before since I ate my steak "There's nothing I can do". I suggested maybe discounting my drink. This place is ok for comfort food. My favorite thing is if you ask for crispy hash browns they will actually deep fry them. My peeve is a tiny cup of hot tea costs a little under $3. That is a ludicrous price for a cup of hot water with a cheap tea bag. My friend got coffee for $1.75 with three free refills. I got ripped off. Grease. Lots and lots of it. It's in the air, on your skin when u leave. If you are looking for cheap food, lots of it, and bland flavor- this is you joint. The worst biscuit and gravy I have ever had. Bisquick and packaged gravy at home is way better. So if u want cheap or lots of food or cure a hangover this is your spot. For me- I will stay away. I need my heart and my cholesterol low- I like life. The service was good- I always have to admire how hard waitresses work. Kudos for them to pull it off in that environment. read more

Dang diner food..... For diner food it is very good. But it's that. Diner food. Which is really bad for you and not always the best quality. The servers are all really nice! We were in Farmington, NM for about 12 hours, mostly sleeping in our Airstream. We had dinner there and the food so impressed us that we ate breakfast there the next morning. Both meals were excellent, served quickly by very attentive and friendly staff. The background music was hits from the fifties, sixties and seventies. I ordered a French dip sandwich to go, the au jous dip was not packed in. I drove 30 minutes round trip to pick up my order. When I got back to work the juice was missing. The manager on site refused to fix this other than tell me to drive back to pick up the juice. I demanded refund. The manager said once the food is out the door nothing can be done. I spent an hour on a meal than was not right. I should not have to pay for it. $10.29 was the meal price. Angry!!!! I refuse to eat here again. read more

Was in Farmington for the night and stopped in for dinner. Sat at the counter and the server was very nice and polite (Sorry I didn't get her name). I figured since I was in an old style diner I would see if they had an open faced Turkey plate. Unfortunately they didn't but the server asked the manager and he said they could make one for me as they already have the ingredients on hand. We had a concern about hair found in the curly fries, which was stuck onto it. So we told the waitress and she offered to replace the food but my appetite was gone, so I declined. We questioned whether we had to pay for that specific meal, I only ate 1 of the 4 club sandwiches. The manager wasn't present so we spoke with a male staff member and he asked what color the hair was, he then stated none of the cooks have that hair color, with that comment, I immediately felt they thought we were lying or making up the story, so my husband thought to end our conversation and simply pay for the meal. We eat here quite often, I thought we at least get a portion deducted from the bill. We are not satisfied and we simply will not return. My husband tried to end our visit on a good note by telling the cashier to have a great night and she ignored his comment. Definitely disappointed in one of our few favorite restaurants. read more

This was a great breakfast! I had the make your own omelette. The biscuits and gravy were rich, warm, and delicious, and the hashbrowns were cooked to perfection. I normally do not eat out a lot, but when on vacation I do. I went here with the family, and the line was out the door. Obviously a very popular place! We were seated fast, and the price was great. Where do I begin. The wifey and I have been here numerous times over the years. First thing is the service is hit or miss. This time around our server didn't even check on us and I had to eat my burger and fries with only the soda that was given to me when I was initially sat. I don't like the fact they don't provide Cholula sauce with breakfast. Who serves breakfast without Cholula? Anyways speaking of breakfast, it's good but can be better. I had an omelette awhile ago and it was obvious the cook didn't cook the green bell peppers enough. Another thing is their veggies are all from a can. If I could highlight one improvement is if their burger had homemade buns instead of premade buns. Also I ordered cheddar cheese for my burger and they gave me shredded cheese and they have no pepper jack cheese for burgers. I have eaten here a couple times with some friends the food is cheap it is ok and usually the service is really good. The last time I went there for breakfast I had the enchiladas it was like eating a plate of grease. Not only that but I has the worst server ever! I found out she is the owners daughter and most of the staff hates her. She is very very lazy rude and doesn't seem to care about the quality of the food or her service. I am doing my best to refrain from personal attacks as I would like to be taken seriously on here. But this is a review and I have nothing nice to say. I wanted to tell her what I thought of her and the fact that she needs some bigger pants. I wanted to yell at her instead of just stew bitterly to myself but I was raised better than that and her. If I could give them a 0 and still post a review, I would. Ordered a fried chicken dinner with baked potato and vegetables. Soup was the only decent thing served. Potato was hard. "Vegetable" was corn that came from a can. Would have overlooked these, but the chicken breast was ice cold and red in the center. When they "remade" it, the replacement was a half breast cooked so hard it would have broken my tooth to eat it. Their solution was to offer me a $2.00 discount for serving me an inedible meal.
