I have been a patron for a very long time. Today, 2 new cashiers had ignored us for 15 minutes. We were using the phone in the booth. We were very happy and waiting to order our tasty lunch. I have a limited time to eat. I asked a cashier about why the other cashier was not helping us. She said they will help in one moment. They both got defensive. Other cashiers in the past were very nice, fast and efficient. The day manager did not help at all. She isn't good fit. Sorry Dan but your establishment could use better wait staff. On our way home we stopped here for breakfast--the name caught our eye and we thought it'd be a good spot to try. Unfortunately, because of the way the kitchen is set up, we were told breakfast would take a long time, so they suggested lunch would be faster. The employees are rude and unprofessional. I asked what is on the deluxe burger before I ordered and they told me onions, tomatoes, pickles and lettuce and when I got my sandwich there was no onions and it was cold and quite plain. When I politely requested onions because there was none on the burger, the lady was very short and rude and said none of the sandwiches come with onion and If I wanted some I would need to pay .50 cents. I informed the lady who took my order that I wanted onions, because what is a burger without onions? If you want good service and hot meal, save your money and go elsewhere. MY NEW FAVORITE RESTAURANT!!! the service was so good. the staff instantly corrected our order when they gave us the wrong flavor of ice cream and made us an extra. the service was fast, and not to mention super cheap! we came during happy hour and got 2 large sodas, 2 ice cream cones (plus an extra) and a large fry for only $16.20. the interior was also very cozy with lots of booths, it's super cute, very 70s, wood paneling, i love it. definitely would recommend!!!! read more

If you're driving through the small little town, my suggestion is you stop and eat at Dad's family restaurant! You get to travel back in time to the 70s maybe early 80s, I totally love the menu and phone on the wall at every table that was super cool! Service was excellent. Everybody in there was friendly and they made my order exactly as I asked. Try the jalapeño stuffed tots. Those were really good and not hot at all. This please is a time capsule. You can almost smell the 70s/80s. It really brought back some fantastic memories for me. The portions were generous there was no way we were leaving hungry. Late night eats. Fast, delicious, and hot. I love crinkle fries and they have them. of coarse we need the special sauce. Its to die for with the fries. I believe it was silence when we all took the first bite. Mom and I looked at each other and said DAMN it, this is a really good burger or we are freaking starving. I think It was a really good burger. Ha We got 6 2.99 ultimate cheese burger (I'm craving another one) and two large fries for 22 bucks. I mean are you kidding me. I pay 15 bucks sometimes for a drink, fries, and burger in NYC. I can't even believe we feed sooo many people. I almost wanted to grab one for the road, but we had Mexican. I really loved the burger. It was large and super tasty, great flavor, cooked to perfection as I like to say. I really had a great meal on Friday evening. We stopped here on impulse after the train museum. This is a terrific spot, glad we did. The burgers are excellent. too large, if anything, wish we had split a burger between us. Really quaint decor, nostalgic booths. Don't miss the murals in town if you're just passing through, they are truly amazing and I don't mean to use that word casually. I legit ordered at 618 pm and I'm asking a question Bc I haven't been here in years and she continues to repeat he same question without even acknowledging that I asked if she got what I ordered correctly. Very rude who ever she was taking orders. She was short in communication and wait time wasn't too bad. The fish fillet sandwich for lent special looks like a half of fillet fish split in half to make a whole sandwich. You can clearly see it's half the filet made into a full burger. I ate here with friends and their boys about a year and a half ago. Back in the day it was an A&W (root beer) restaurant. I have to say that the food was great, the atmosphere was kinda hectic but in a good way. All the kids were happy enjoying burgers and fries after several games of basketball. The food is very good but their service, during the pandemic, is very bad. For a while is it was drive thru only and I understand items were hard to come by. But when you order something and it isn't availabe you should be told not have something else put in it's place especially when waits are long. Went there again later when it was more open and waited 30 minutes in the drive thru for a breakfast burrito and coffee. Finally had to go in and get a refund. Tried to contact management never returned my call. McDonald's , in comparison, in the same town is super fast, gets the order correct everytime and when things aren't availabe the customer is told. Driving to Toppenish in my covered wagon one snowy work day, I lifted my eyes to the shining beacon of Dad's family owned restaurant. First time eater, long time admirer. I had the bacon cheeseburger combo special for $8.08 tax included. For the first time in my life the protein sources of cheese, bacon, and hand burger patty were a 2:1 ratio on the lettuce, pickle, tomatoe triad. Next time I'll ask them to "run it through the garden" & get more of that delicious crunch that makes your backyard burger fantastique! It's like stepping back in time. Really, it doesn't matter what the food tastes like at this point, it's all about nostalgia. From the order at the table menu boards with telephone, the order at the car menu boards, and the old Pepsi chandelier lights. I've always wanted to try this place thinking it was good considering the good things I've heard about it, but it was just ok, something i wouldn't go out of my way to get again. I got the cheeseburger and fries and a medium rootbeer float. The best thing was the root beer float even though it overflowed onto the table because they overfilled it. My family and I mostly use the drive through because we take our orders home to eat. So I can't say anything about how things are inside. I think it is a problem with most fast food restaurants but I don't like their intercom system. If they can't hear you, it seems they get annoyed. I feel like I have to yell at the top of my lungs. Then I feel annoyed. It's why I choose to avoid it unless I really want something there. This place is different so I shouldn't expect it to be like McDonald's or anything where they're super quick but it feels like a long wait sometimes. Especially when you have a few cars in front you. After everything, the burger and fries can feel like a real treat. They have a lot of things on the menu but that's all we ever order. We get breakfast burritos every once in awhile.
