The service was great-very friendly but gave you space as needed, and even extended the happy hour special for us. Margaritas were great. Salsa has a good kick. Tried this place several years ago before I became a yelper, and it still as good as it was then. Had the Chicken Mole Enchiladas, and they were perfect. The meal of course came with the typical chips and salsa, but the salsa was really good. The service was super despite being a busy Friday night with almost no empty seats in the place. Five stars for accommodating our party of 19 with an hour notice plus the food was delicious. We stayed at the Best Western next door, so it was convenient. The ultimate fajitas is great for sharing, and they'll make sure you have enough tortillas to go around. Lots of meat and veggies, which gave everyone exactly what they wanted. Our server was outstanding with kindness, patience, and helpful suggestions. For being in the middle of nowhere, I'm surprised at their attention to detail (we find that a lot of lone restaurants figure they don't have to try because they're the only option around). Everyone around us was getting served drinks, dinner, etc. while we sat and waited for 20 minutes. We were literally ignored. After 25 minutes our food order was taken. Party of 9. Meals came out in intervals, I was done eating when my grandsons food had just arrived. 2 entrees were incorrect. The restaurant was not busy at all, 4 or 5 tables in addition to ours. Will not go back after the Manager refused to acknowledge that we received bad service. Manager told us that the smaller tables get service before larger tables........ I ordered lemon for my water, never received it even after being told I didn't get it. Entrees were misplaced when served and the server didn't care. We were treated horribly. I pulled the cash tip from the table after the conversation with the Manager. That kind of attitude/behavior, and poor service does not deserve a tip! Please, see attached photo of another review. Solid food for a Mexican restaurant, but watch out for tourist pricing. We ordered two entrees, (Carne Asada and Pollo Con Cilantro) which were tasty and large, an appetizer, plus two margaritas. The price was close to $70 dollars, I was shocked but we were rushing to Walla Walla to meet friends, so I dismissed it till later. I searched Yelped for menu pictures and everything I saw was 10.99. They don't have a website, shocked since at these prices they should be able to afford a graphic designer. So, I must have been given the tourist passing through discount. We found this restaurant because we drove through Toppenish to find the Car Wash next door to it...and we were hungry so we came here first. Chips did not appear to be homemade but were warm and crispy and the salsa was EXCELLENT This is a great stop for travelers just off the highway. If you CAN drive through Toppenish we highly recommend you take your time if you enjoy really beautiful murals on buildings. Toppenish sports some of the nicest we've ever found and THEY ARE EVERYWHERE The food is good here. My husband likes Huevos Rancheros and even though they are not officially on the lunch menu, they are available upon request. He substituted rice for extra beans and enjoyed both whole Black and Pinto beans. They also have refried. His plate was HUGE. We had to take some beans to go. I had an a la carte Chile Relleno. It appeared to be more of just chilies and cheese inside cooked egg and rolled up...topped with sauce and LOTS more cheese. Very tasty and freshly made. So often restaurants make them ahead and nuke them to reheat. This did not appear to be a traditional dipped whole stuffed pepper but rather a delicious untraditional freshly made simulated Chile Relleno. If you are vegetarian check out the veggies section. I'm thinking that pile of veggies someone pictured is that middle vegetarian meal. I love home cooked flan. This was VERY SWEET so great to share as it satisfies the sweet tooth quickly. Let's just say when I eat at this location it's like I am eating in El Paso. Finally came across a restaurant that tastes authentic. Even better, their beans are pork free yet so delicious. I can actually eat their beans and not have to go for double rice. Getting seated can be tricky as there doesn't seem to be a designated hostess. Whoever passes by will seat you if they're free. I've had their mole enchiladas and their chicken is so tender. The corn tortillas are just falling apart that's how good they are. The beans are delish. Everything is awesome here. Yep, this defiantly happened. I didn't think I was going to try this little gem, but I did with my family. We walked in and was seated right away. I then decided I wasn't eating the rest of the evening sooo I got something BIG and new. I tried the chicken veggie stir fry. Holy Mole, this was amazing in flavors. The smell was really interested. It smelt like Asian stir fry, but tasted like Mexican food. It had mushrooms, pepper, zucchini, onions, carrots, and speared avocados with delicious flavorful cooked to perfection chicken. Chicken breast in case you were wondering. I love it. Don't forget chips and salsa is served: complimentary. The chicken and veggies were served over Monterrey jack cheese and Mexican rice, now this is what I'm talking about. I took one bit and didn't think I was going to even eat three tacos. I was more hungry than I thought. I wasn't even FULL. I just had to stop eating. I normally ALWAYS get the carne asada, but my friends boyfriend did so I tired it JUST to make sure it was flavorful meat, with seasonings that made the meat of sooo delicious. I ended up having it was my avocado spears on a tortilla. So delicious. I heard the Cheladas are PERFECT. I haven't had a margarita since they re opened, but this use to be the spot. I haven't been here in a few years, so we'd thought we would drive up to Zillah and give it a shot. It was daily busy so that's a good sign. I got the Pollo A la crema and my spouse got the carne asada. The pollo was bland and had corn in it? Haven't seen that before. Weird, and not good for this recipe. I also ordered flour tortillas - and got corn. Didn't bother mentioning the error - I'm easy. My spouse's asada was good in flavor, but was a small portion (even for lunch). The male waiter was working hard and seemed efficient but lacked any social skills to make us feel special. Just all business. No smile or facial expressions. Service was very very slow, but I can understand that with a lunch rush, and we are not impatient people. Eating at a Mexican Restaurant in Eastern Washington for the first time in 20 years made me realize that HUGE difference between Mexican Food here and what they call Mexican Food in Western Washington.
