I have used Dad's tacos twice now & it was great both times! Once for a baby shower & recently for my husband's 70th birthday party. Everything was great! The best thing about it is that I don't have to worry about the food! They arrive early, set-up nicely, are courteous to my guests, & my guests always comment on how good the food is! It's worry-free for me & I can enjoy the rest of my preparations. They even supply all of the plates & utensils. Afterwards, they package up all of the leftovers & you get to have it all! I asked Greg, last minute, to help me with my husband's birthday party, because I only had a small window of time to have the party. He was there for me & the party was a huge success! I tried Dad's Tacos recently, a new person to see if there was a better experience and food option. Unfortunately, the food was overcooked (burnt), the proportions were not what I paid for (40 ppl not 20ppl). I had many complaints from my guests about food illnesses the same night and day after. I also found out after some investigation that we were shorted food/meat as I paid for 40 ppl. It was an awful and embarrassing way to celebrate. The other issue was I specifically told the taco guy to protect my floor when I booked and he stated, it was not a problem, as I did not want oil drips and stains etc..., when I mentioned this before the setup, he stated oh I forgot. I gave him plenty of cardboard to help this very important but forgotten detail and still he was not careful enough, grease stains and drips. When I mentioned this to him on the final cash payment, his response was basically woops, oh well. Cmon really! I had to stop enjoying my celebration, and 409 the crap out of the oil drips, wash it down, just not something I should have to worry about or experience. The least he could of done after the cooking was clean his own mess. I will be going back to my previous taco person unless I run into a more professional service that is not sloppy or makes people ill. Sorry, no recommendations from me. Things went left .. he sent his sister and her daughter .. the agreement was to throw in tortillas- they weren't on the contract so she had to leave to come back to make them - ( unprofessional) the ELOTES .. we paid $75 extra for .. the corn was hard ..they substituted the chilli power for thyme ( disgusting) remind you he did this the first party .. so explained I didn't want thyme my guest complained about it .. as the event was going on .. the sister and her daughter were drinking alcohol on the job .. when it was time to go the elotes were wrapped in aluminum foil PLAIN .. and put on the counter .. when I noticed this .. she claimed she can bring the ingredients to make our own elothes .. NO ABSOLUTELY NOT - we didn't pay for the service to do it ourselves .. after all my son helped them out to the car with their equipment.. when talking to GREG .. this guy is a selfish person who thinks his employees are above and beyond .. don't hold any accountability for their actions .. he will defend them in any situation.. so. Just hung up on him .. honestly if you want professional services . DONT HIRE THIS COMPANY!! Who you know hire the same person within 2 months and get treated like a scum .. when you tell him what went wrong .. then he thinks after spending $600 dollars he want a tip - PLEASE with hat HARD CORN & bad services .. Attended a party where they catered. Starting with the prep, the lady sucked her fingers after she poured the salsas into the containers. Speaking of the salsas, they were awful and watered down. I wanted to give a shout out for Dads Tacos, we had a graduation party at the park for my daughter and I was able to book them within two weeks of the event. They were very courteous and called me right away to set up the event. (Last minute) They showed up on time. Greg was very helpful because I was nervous about having it in the park and with the Covid restrictions, but he calmed my nerves. They were excellent with communication. When we showed up at the park, everything was set up and looked great. His daughter was amazing. super friendly and the service was great and everybody really enjoyed the tacos. There was a ton of the two different meats, cane asada and chicken. My husband loves the spicy salsa and they had a variety of choices. Note, I would've liked to have had a little bit more salsa in the bowls, but I know we had a small party, so maybe adapt bowl size so it looks more abundant? just a suggestion. Super happy with everything. The tacos were delicious and everything looked really nice and very clean and sanitary. They were super cool and let us take home the leftovers and there was enough food for at least fifty people and our party was 25, so we are still eating the leftovers the rice and beans are very tasty. There were dozens of teenage boys being loud (and obnoxious, I am sure). Nonetheless, Dad's Tacos employees were courteous, friendly, professional and even laughed along with the kids. Booked them last minute, they replied fast and were there early to set up. Food was ok, only downfall was they were VERY concerned about making sure we tip them. At the beginning the guy mentioned how tip wasn't Included. I gave him an extra $20 on top of the total price and he said "okay so everyone else knows tip when they come up?". It was an employee party so didn't really want the employees to have to pay. He added how normally people tip 15-20%. I really don't mind tipping people just he could have waited to the end, plus if they really want gratuity they could have told us in the beginning and added it to the their price. Anyways we ended up tipping him a total 15% at the end. THESE PEOPLE ARE CRAZY! I was upset they asked for a tip before service ALTHOUGH I STILL TIPPED $80 but honestly the way they handled it has me shocked to how they are even In business. The owner Greg keeps bringing up how I got seconds.... IRRELEVANT.. I paid $350 I would hope it would at least come with seconds. Also stated we showed an hour late to eat, also irrelevant because we paid for two hours of service so if my guest weren't ready to eat till an hour in so be it. We didn't ask them to stay any longer than 4 pm as scheduled. PLEASE NEVER USE THESE PEOPLE! UNPROFESSIONAL AND TRUST ME THEY DEMAND YOU AND ALL YOUR GUEST TIP!
