Driver slammed into me at a red light. Ended up having to go to the hospital. Had to retrieve my truck from Dad's towing myself and apply for reimbursement from insurance. The staff at Dad's Towing were extremely rude, condescending, and hostile. Treated me like a criminal while I was still nursing injuries from the crash. Nursing whiplash and bruises while talking to a lady who more or less refused to help me. Had to get a friend to take me to their tow yard to retrieve my vehicle to make sure they wouldn't add any more exorbitant charges or something else nefarious while I was supposed to be recovering from injuries. Short, snippy, accusatory, and overall extremely unpleasant. Been a long time since I've been treated with such abject disdain. Having someone crash into you and total your car is extremely stressful and Dad's Towing will make it even more stressful by treating you like scum. I will be making formal complaints to Metro PD for towing my car here and to anyone else I can think. read more

This was my third time when I used Dad's Towing and I was very glad that I called them. It was midnight and my truck broke down in the middle of the highway in Waldorf. And Dad's towing made all the way down to Waldorf from Ashburn, VA. They are awesome and very reliable and worth of a dollars spent!!! My experience started out great with them, and ended very poorly. During the week around 9pm, our car fell off the jack while changing the tire and caused a lot of damage, so we knew we would need it towed to a collisions shop. We called Dad's towing, they were very friendly and said they could come out in 45 minutes and drop the car off that night at a collision center, and we were quoted a price between $150 and $175 depending on labor. Once they got there we determined the collision center and the driver said we'll just hold it over night and deliver it in the morning (and never mentioned an increased charge) and that the collision center would pay the bill and submit it to insurance. The next morning I got a call from the collision center saying that they were being asked to pay a $375 towing bill, but they weren't able to do it until their accounting office opened at 10am and that they wouldn't take a PO (not really sure what that is). I asked to speak to the driver to clarify the price. He said that since they picked it up the night before and stored it, they charged us for the first tow, labor, the storage, and a second tow (TOTALING $375). When I told him that this price should have been discussed his response was "don't worry, your insurance will pay for it". I ended up paying this out of pocket so the car could be dropped off. Regardless of who is paying for it, in my opinion it is bad business to not inform your customers. IF we had known this, the car would have stayed in our parking lot until the next morning when it could have been towed directly there. I will not use them ever again and wouldn't recommend them. read more

This is the number to call for efficient service. My car broke down today on Rte 7 near the exit to Loudon County Parkway. The temperature was in the 90's and the towing service responded in a timely basis. The price to be towed back to my repair shop in Arlington, Virginia was very reasonable. I certainly appreciated the offer since the alternatives would not be cost efficient. I was very impressed with the tow truck along with the driver. He was very professional. Awesome experience! They're reliable, respectful, and focus on helping you out instead of making a profit off you. These are the people you want to call when you're in trouble - it doesn't get better than this company. Memorial Day weekend (1.5 weeks ago), my tire went flat on Rte 50, near South Riding. I called AAA, but had to go through the sign up process to get service, pay yearly fees ($144), plus an additional $4/mile to get towed, and so on. After being transferred and 15 mins of wasted time sitting in the 85-degree heat, I called other companies. Most were closed on a Sunday or for the holiday, but Dad's Towing answered! Joanna was honest, nice, and straight to the point in answering my questions- no beating around the bush. They quoted me $75 for the tow, $3/mile (cheaper than AAA), and said about 45 mins. I figured it'd be an hour, but 15 MINS later, the tow truck rolls up! Franklin jumped out, ready to help, sincere, and offering assistance. He covered any potential issues. I definitely felt relieved. He wasn't impatient, reckless, or a know-it-all like many automotive employees I've dealt with -- Franklin was willing to listen, answered thoroughly, and genuinely cared about my situation. I needed to change my flat tire, too, which was another $75, but Franklin offered to do it for free and used his tools - it was much faster and really helped me get back on the road quick! Dad's Towing is my go-to now (if anything should happen again). I highly recommend this team. Their work ethic, knowledge, timing, and compassion really blew all other companies I've interacted with out of the water- such a blessing in a time of trouble. I wish I could say something about the quality of the towing service that this company provides, but I called them twice attempting to schedule a tow and was never called back. In both cases the call went straight to voicemail and I was told to leave a message. In both cases I left a message with phone numbers included and was never called back. I am an area manager for a very large corporation and I called these guys at 345am to tow one of my trucks, he says we render payment once towing is complete he then calls me back at 630am to tell me he now needs a credit card and that is driver is still 30 minutes away. omg! These people rock! My car had a flat so I needed tow it to VA Tire & Auto. I wasn't at the location of the car and I had the keys. I didn't want to have to pay for an Uber to take me there to leave the key then Uber back so I asked John, the guy who was going to tow it, if he could swing by my house and get the key. I told him I'd pay him the same that I'd pay the Uber guy but it would save me time and hassle. He did it AND made sure that VA Tire & Auto called me when he got there because they were closing and he'd told me he'd make sure they took care of me today. He rushed as fast as he (safely) could, he didn't even take payment until after it was towed because he really wanted to get it there before they closed. I needed help this afternoon changing a flat tire - I phoned to get a time and cost estimate. Both were very reasonable (within 2 hours time, as the car was parked at my home). I received a call back and the driver arrived exactly when promised. He was very professional and efficient, completing the job in around 10 minutes.
