The Publisher James Allen stepped-in and it started great. Except I wanted to cancel my four-week advertisement after the first appearance and was denied a credit on my charge account I originally paid for it on. Kept insisting they do not do that. No where did I see or hear "NO REFUNDS". Interesting that they are in a 89 % predominately Spanish area and yet do not publish in Spanish also. NOT VERY PROFESSIONAL!

The articles themselves as well as the choice of what to write about further than point of view. We know very left wing people who say they agree with the editor all the time. Obviously if you want to read around the subject you have to read other local publications as well, such as the Daily Breeze. The same people say they won't let The Daily Breeze into their house! Do we read RLN? At first we did, every week. That it is free and so available made that easy. Our reading has diminished. We know there's an on line edition and that the editor proudly passes out copies himself at times. Do we read The Daily Breeze? Actually we don't. In it's way it is very pro- San Pedro, Wilmington, and Harbor City. Progressive, which means taking care of humanity is first and foremost. Isn't that what Christianity is all about?

This is a small town newspaper that features local athletes & heroes from El Segundo. It shows you where to be and when to be there. It shows you when the local Farmers Markets are. It tells you everything you need to know about El Segundo. This little newspaper still has a small little Office front in El Segundo which they have to pay rent for and they distribute the newspaper for free. I mean does it get any better than that? I do not think so. I believe Heaven is El Segundo and so does the publisher of this paper.

The El Segundo Herald is a local real estate flyer with a community newsletter attached. It's headlines are always about the local little league baseball schedule or who is appearing in the local school play. It has no news af any substance and is mostly good for the bottom of the kitty litter box or for wrapping fish. Nobody reads it and it is a nuisance when it is left outside on the sidewalk. I wish they would stop printing it but since it is given away for free, the local realtors must give it enough revenue to keep it going.

They solicit business to business saying that they provide you with both print exposure and online advertising. My IT guy look into the LBBJ's websites structure and according to him they do not have meta-tags, hyper links to individual clients pages and the site is poorly constructed. This is a publication that boasts about being an affordable means of advertising small and mid size companies to increase sales and exposure but can't even offer data on hits or traffic to their clients website. It is clear that advertising in the LBBJ is a waste of money and with the economy being the way it is to invest in advertising that does nothing is bad business.
