For all the good reviews, I was a tad underwhelmed at the location of this cafe, which I drove by without noticing and had to find parking and walk back to. It wasn't huge inside, and the food menu didn't really impress me. Having said that, I mainly wanted a beverage, and I saw a seasonal special green tea and raspberry frappe, dubbed "the refresher". And it was refreshing. They seemed a tad confused about what they offered, but I got out of there with a quality beverage, which was the goal. read more

I ordered a chicken salad sandwich here yesterday and it was the only thing I ate all day. I am so violently ill right now. I will not be eating here again. *edit: when I called just to let them know in case they needed to throw out any ingredients, the woman who answered was rude and asked me what I wanted her to say or "do about it". This is a great option for coffee/food in Charleston WV. Cool atmosphere, very friendly staff and an extensive beverage menu. The coffee was very good and way better than Starbucks in my opinion. The smoked salmon bagel which I had was delicious. The only disappointment was the avocado spread toast my mom ordered. It's like a processed avocado spread you'd buy at Kroger or Walmart. If they were to use real avocado I think that would be a huge improvement or at least have that as an option. Don't let this deter you from trying this place. I was looking for some place different from Tudors biscuit world with a cool atmosphere to sit and have a coffee. Well I found it and several other travelers did to. The Daily Dose has just the right amount of food choices to be very good at what they make. Plus their coffee and beverage choices covered the whole palette. Unassuming mom-n-pop coffee shop. I had the green gobbler, a latte, and a pastry - all legit. The sandwich was toasted w/avocado spread, smoked turkey, and the pickled onions made it next level. The staff were very friendly and their service was great. A little bit of a wait bit mostly everything was made in-house. They even gave my dog a complimentary cup of whipped cream. Kanawha City's newest (and only) brick and mortar coffee spot and you won't be disappointed. Daily Dose is family owned and operated and has a variety of coffee (from Seven Hills in OH), food (made to order) and tea options. This is the only local place I know of in Charleston with bagels available. The pastries and other food items are made in house- even better! Free WiFi and plenty of seating can be found from low dining tables to high tops and a sofa with comfy chairs. There's even a TV and fireplace (don't worry, no real flames. It's pretty cool temperature wise inside.) Vegan options are available. Patrons can add various milligrams of CBD to their drinks for a small up-charge. Some drinks and food items have CBD already included- a really nice touch and something rarely found in Charleston! I ordered a TC dilly wrap for brunch with a cold brew coffee and was impressed with the flavor and presentation of the wrap. The dill and sun chips on the side are great additions! The cold brew was smooth and not bitter- no sweetener or milk needed. My date ordered a strawberry jam bagel with chia seeds and hemp hearts-really great flavors. We ate in and found the atmosphere to be chill, yet modern with a nice southern farmhouse touch. Parking is down the street but will be improved soon! There is also a machine on the way for nitro cold brew coffee. These improvements and more will solidify this as a great spot. I'll definitely be back! read more

The only bagel in Charleston! This family owned cafe just opened and are expanding their menu. (I would like to see more bagel options). I ordered the featured S'mores Latte with 5mg of CBD and it was delicious! Their coffee is certified fair trade organic. I ordered a plain strawberry bagel with strawberry jam and other options. Very tasty! They have avocado toast on the menu as well as multiple vegan and bakery options. Some of the sandwiches have hot or cold offerings. They also have daily specials for breakfast and coffees! The only cafe in Kanawha City and it's only a minute off the interstate. Vibe has southern hospitality with a touch of modernism. Parking is a bit around the corner but they are improving on that. Very pleasant experience, decent coffee, I hope that they find their niche in Charleston WV! read more

LOVED this place! My friend and I stopped to check it out. We had seen some great things in Facebook and knew they infused CBD oil into their drinks, as requested. They also sell several different CBD products to take home. I ordered a caramel macchiato with 25 mcg CBD oil. It was phenomenal! Best caramel macchiato I've ever had!! The coffee was smooth and it had just the right amount of sweetness. There was no taste, or aftertaste, of CBD. If you've never tried CBD, I highly recommend it. It does not have the THC that gets you high. There is no dramatic way it physically effects you when you take it. It gives me an overall sense of well being and a relaxed mind. Kind of hard to describe. The atmosphere was cozy; comfy chairs, clean restroom, quaint decor, free WiFi. Going back today with son to try out lunch.
