So sweet. The food was divine. Truly. The egg sandwich was so good. The croissant was perfectly crunchy buttery and although seemed like too much for me, it was perfect. The eggs were perfectly cooked. The perfect temperature. The cheese was very good, creamy, naturally flavorful not overly so. I guess I just can't praise this place enough. I stayed a while so need up getting a second drink, the Sakura matcha latte which was very tasty too - all round the right amount of matcha-y! Lol! I also ordered the blueberry eclair - not too sweet. Perfect size. Perfect ratio. Not to mention, beautiful. Just perfect. Love this place! Will go back every time I'm in town. Not crazy about the parking situation in the area but whatever, that's the way it is round there and luckily I found a spot easily :) Check this place out. It's truly lovely.

The desserts, although beautiful, were on the pricier side. I tried the berry lychee cake and it was delicious! The iced coffee was yummy too. Parking was very hard to find on a Sunday afternoon so I ended up parking in a garage.

The menu has a large sign saying whole milk only, but it wasn't until after I ordered that I saw you could swap for oat milk for 50 cents. I wish that sign was bigger. The food was cold and took a long time to heat up/ seemed like the workers were put out that we wanted hot food... I was not impressed by the service despite the fact that the place itself is cute. It felt like just being there was a hassle. I liked how different the flavors are, and I really enjoyed my key lime pie and appreciated that they had their list of vendors public. I thought the coffee and pie was... fine for the price. I don't think I would go here again.

Though I walked here, you can find street parking in the area though it is limited and you will likely be circling several blocks before finding something (and please check signage restrictions). Pie Time is really meant as a to-go shop as there is very limited seating, just 4 tables as well as a bench. They do have wifi but I would not say with such limited seating that this is a place to study/work at. They do have a drink promotion with a punch card where after you buy 10, you get a drink free + 30% off a bakery item. The ingredients are locally sourced and there is information present on where they are from. They also have a local bulletin board with local events that I think is good for the community to find established third spaces. Alternative milks cost $0.50 extra. I paid a little over $20 for the three items below, which I also think is pricy for what I ordered. Hot Chai Latte w/ whole milk 1.5/5, this drink was sadly disappointing. While it was hot, there was virtually no taste of chai present. This tasted like hot milk with just a sprinkling of cinnamon / chai over it as opposed to a chai latte. Apple Pie 3/5, this was an average apple pie, I think it could have been improved by adding something like cinnamon to it to enhance flavoring Pumpkin Pie 4/5, this was good, I did think it was small, however. The pumpkin spice flavor was present throughout though the dough of the pie was unevenly textured throughout (some parts soft, some parts hard).

I will say I was a little surprised by the lack of pastry options/ their vegetarian options are minimal (there were two-- a fruit parfait and a vegetarian sausage breakfast sandwich) but the breakfast sandwich I did get was great! So, good quality food with small but mighty selection! Update 2 weeks later: I'd like to note that I think I came late on this day, because on other days of the week there are pastries available (the blueberry yogurt one is pretty good, and they warm it up for you in a little oven!). Every staff member was kind, funny and made sure we were well taken cared of from the moment we walked through the door until we left. Our barista, Devin, was engaging, funny and makes amazing lattes! We laughed a lot with him during our time and will for sure be back on another Friday when he's working. Along with my latte I had the chocolate croissant which was light, airy and delicious. My friend had the bacon egg and cheese sandwich and enjoyed it. We also tried their latte special - s'mores latte. It was strong and had a good balance of sweetness. There was a decent amount of seating and for those who are there to work, they had plenty of outlets at the bar. Can't wait to visit them again!

They serve Black Acres beans (a favorite of mine) and some seriously good croissants. I kept it simple with a standard latte and a butter croissant. The café has window bar seating inside and a couple of outdoor tables, making it an easy, comfortable place to slow down. The barista was friendly and even shared helpful fishing spot info. The interior has a cozy, minimalist style, and with Sunday morning light, the whole place felt like a warm, relaxed place to be. From what I could tell, there's space in the back to meet and greet the cats. I'm not in the market to adopt, but for anyone who is, this seems like the place to connect with a new purring family member. Worth a visit if you're in the area!

The decor was happy surprise - 70s vibes with cats everywhere! I've been to a few cat cafes, and they're all a little bit different! Affogatto is on the smaller side. You walk into the cafe area - coffee bar and a few two-top tables (there are a couple of tables outside as well, but it's definitely not a large cafe). Then there's one other room, a small one, where the cats are. I didn't get a coffee during our visit, but my friend did (she enjoyed her latte; I found it interesting that their syrups for lattes are self-service?). Visits to the cat room are in 30-minute segments. Because the cat room is so small, you and whoever else purchased a visit for your same time slot will probably sit right down on the floor to play with the kittens. When we visited, there were about eight kittens - and they were kittens! They were playful and funny. Compared to other cat cafes, it was definitely a smaller space. They also had fewer toys to play with. But since the cats were kittens, they were pretty great at entertaining themselves and us. But if you want a more leisurely experience where you can play with and pet some kittens and adult cats, you might want to check out a larger cat cafe with more space. However, any cat cafe is likely to be great - who can complain about any chance to meet, socialize, and play with adoptable cats and kittens?! Affogatto is a great little business, and I hope they stick around to continue helping Baltimore cats and kittens find good homes!

A jerk of a manager, who goes above and beyond in making his customers feel unappreciated. The only reason this place is still open is because they are close to some of the people in the building; if it weren't for winters in Baltimore and time-constraints, no one would come here. Every time I go, I am reminded that the extra 5 minute walk to any other restaurant is worth the better lunch and friendlier service. Unrecommended with extreme prejudice.

What's wrong with me?…read more This is like one of those bad relationships that you keep going back to because it's convenient rather than because you truly like them. Food is expensive and mediocre at best. The manager is so incredibly rude and mean to not only her employees (I don't think there has been a day that I haven't seen her yelling at her employees and giving them evil looks in front of all the customers) but also to her customers! The last time I was here I ordered a hot water for my tea (I bought my own bag). The cashier didn't have a chance to ring me up yet and I asked if the hot water cost any money. The manager yelled from 10 feet away, "YES OF COURSE IT COST MONEY. IT'S 50 CENTS!!!! CAN'T YOU READ THE BOARD?" WHOA WHOA there...I told her to calm down as it's only 8 in the morning and she didn't need to catch an attitude because I never said I wasn't going to pay. If you have such a hate on life then maybe you should stop working in the food industry or better yet, stop being around people. The other employees have always been courteous and nice so far. So I feel bad for them having to work around such a tyrant. Her attitude as a manager has caused such a low rating because the leader of the ship makes the difference. Also the 10 oz cups are only 6 oz. Why advertise it as such when you are clearly lying? This was the last straw, so I'll not be coming back.
