The static fit yoga class at Duo Houston with Lesbianland was such a good time. It was outside, the weather cooperated, and the energy was just right. A whole crowd of beautiful women, good music, and a space that felt safe, calm, and fun all at the same time. Morgan Brown led the class and really set the tone. It felt grounding but still had a little spice to it, not boring at all. After class, they had matcha and acai bowls and gave us 15% off, which I love because who doesn't want a little reward after pretending you can plank longer than you actually can. Speaking of... they had a planking contest and somebody held it for over five minutes. I tapped out mentally just watching. Only thing to note, if you want coffee you'll need to walk over to a nearby shop in Autry Park, but it's super close so no complaints there. Overall, great vibes, great people, and definitely a space I'd come back to.

I joined OTF Aliana about 10 months ago, and I really enjoy the workouts here. I love how I get a…read morefull body workout with every session that includes cardio, resistance and strength training. Bit of a learning curve with the first couple sessions, but once you get the hang of the tempo and language ("Push", "All Out", etc), it's fun and easy to understand. I have 3 herniated discs so I have to be careful with certain exercises, but the coaches are always willing to give you a modified version on the strength floor, or you can just do one on your own. For the treadmill portion, they have both runner/jogger and power walking options. The coaches (and their playlists!) are motivating and the front desk staff are friendly and always helpful. When you sign up, it is clearly stated on the T&C's that you will be charged for missed classes that you signed up for; that you will not be able to participate in a session if you show up more than five minutes late, etc., so I don't understand some of the negative reviews. Emergencies happen, which is why I wait to book a class on the app (easy to use) right before leaving the house or even after I get to the parking lot and have never had an issue getting in.
