Went for a tour with my daughter a couple of weeks back for my 2 grand kids. Amazing experience upon entering the facility. The office staff was pleasant, friendly and we were welcomed with great warmth and beautiful smiles. The building looks beautiful and well decorated. The infant room teachers were actually "playing " and interacting with the babies and the sweet noises of babies giggling made our day. For our 4 year old we were shown the preK room. Some language activity was going on and we could tell the children were involved and actually learning while having fun. The teachers at Goddard are amazing! The curriculum as we were told, looks great and covers all aspects of STEM. Important to mention that there was exotic smell of food being freshly prepared as they serve healthy meals. We are so happy to be a part of Goddard very soon. We are more than happy and satisfied after the tour. read more

One of the few hybrid day care Pre-K centers that have actual alignment to standards and data backing their educational program methods. Some staff over the years have come and gone but many do care about enabling the kids and having them become better. Much of the staff know kids by name. Where to begin....my twins have been attending this school for over 1 year now. Saddened to say they were both withdrawn immediately as of yesterday because professionalism, respect, communication, and trust are not a priority at this school especially for the owner Tamkeen and her director Stephanie. They are both extremely rude and sarcastic individuals. Instead of working with you on a concern or issue, they will turn around and blame you as the parents or your children. Not only that, if they think you are no longer valued or needed at their school, they will go out of their way to discuss your personal issues/concerns to other parents and staff. Little do Tamkeen and Stephanie know, that I have always communicated to the twins main teachers and many parents in their classroom. I have been sent copies of emails on how Tamkeen has spoken about my family's issues to others. Teachers have spoken to me and told me many times how they hate working here because of how they are treated. To be honest, my 1 star rating is not for the teachers at all. Ms. La'Nekka, Ms. Lillie, Ms. Janae, and Ms. Jana have been nothing but wonderful to the twins. My twins were born premature and spent months in the NICU when they were born. I trusted this school to help us transition them from in-home nanny to schooling at 2.5 years old. The teachers did it! Definitely not the owner. My son has came home twice with bites on his shoulders, the response I got from the school was "a child was hugging him who just returned to the class and was excited." what crap! My son has been on antibiotics every month for the last 6 months for strep throat from the school, and she claims that they clean all the time. Also crap! I was told by their teacher that my son does not "use the potty". When asked why not because he does all the time at home, she responded by saying "we have too many children in this class and most are already potty trained, we do not have time to manage all the children and work with your son." Clearly, my money is not being spent well here. Last Thursday the school messaged parents of Preschool 2 class that their teacher was positive for COVID, and claim that she began to have symptoms the SAME DAY she tested positive on a rapid test. They decided to close down the classroom for 10 days per Fort Bend guidelines. Fair enough. As a nurse practitioner, patients do NOT begin to have symptoms the same day as testing positive for COVID. They usually have symptoms 2-3 days before even if it's just a mild cough, fever, body aches, or chills. The teacher failed to notify the school in a timely manner, and she decided to tell them only when she was already really sick from the disease. She risked the lives of 19 students in the class including my twins. This notification first came on Thursday 3/25. Since that exposure, the twins were doing well at home until Saturday morning when they both began to have low grade fevers, runny nose, and a mild cough. By Sunday 3/28 morning the fevers were now consistent every 3-4 hours, but continued to have runny nose, and a mild cough. I decided to be proactive, as I usually am with my twins given their history, and being a nurse practitioner, I took them to the urgent care. I knew the sign of them having fever could be 1 of the 4 things: strep throat again, UTI, FLU or COVID. Out of all the tests, COVID was the only test positive. I kept our kids and ourselves strictly at home, and as parents we called into our works for 10 days. I immediately notified the school by email, their teachers by phone, and a few parents by phone as I was worried about other children. With such a serious situation at hand, the owner Tamkeen, or the director Stephanie never once emailed back or called to answer my issues/ concerns or to even ask how the twins are doing! In fact, I called on 4/1. Stephanie had the audacity to bring up the time 2 weeks ago when I attempted to take my twins to the "aquarium". Little does she know, that we actually NEVER WENT! We brought the twins immediately back home after seeing how full the parking lots were, and the lines to go inside. We DID NOT even get out of our car! Funny part is the "aquarium" issue happened on 3/18 almost 2 weeks ago from the time the symptoms started in the twins. If kids were to be exposed to COVID, they would NOT have symptoms 2 weeks later, it would have happened within 2-3 days of exposure because children are so vulnerable to viruses. They indirectly want to BLAME us for this situation. This issue about the "aquarium" was talked about in emails to other parents of which I have copies of. Definitely a violation of privacy. Those same parents that were sent these emails, are now considering moving their children out of this school. And again, its not the teachers, its the attitude of the owner and her director. The moment you get on their "bad side" they will go to the extent of telling you that its probably better for you to keep your kids home. read more

As each review has a different experience I will state I have received professional and caring experience from this school. From the front office staff to the teachers that my nephews havent experienced yet. I was in a situation where I needed to move my nephews to another educational environment in a fairly quickly manner. I spoke to Stephanie and meet the staff and spoke to Tamkeen the same day I called to tour. Since that day I have experienced nothing but friendly staff, caring and supportive staff. The bonus is my nephews love it there and havent had any issues thus far! I would say visit the school and any concerns you have or read about, voice to the staff and speak to the Owner and Director upon your visit. read more

I posted a review on google about this school. WORST experience ever! The director is rude, unwelcoming, and not professional! Some of the teachers are questionable as well. I don't believe they receive proper training. This is a daycare! Not a school! My son didn't learn anything in the five months he was there. They don't care about the kids. They are in this business for the money. My son often cried when I dropped him off. His teacher in the Get Set classroom couldn't follow through with simple instructions. I asked for Eczema cream to be applied to my son. The Eczema cream was never opened. They never gave me an authorization form that they claimed they needed. That's their responsibility not mine! Then on top of that they didn't use my son's water wipes that I provided. The wipes were unopened. He started with four packs of wipes and we left with four packs of wipes. Doesn't add up! No one especially the director and/or teacher should question what I give my son for snacks and/or lunch. I know my son. Clearly they don't! I think it's pretty petty that the director had to reply to my review but I don't expect anything less from them. That's the kind of people you will be dealing with here!!!! read more

Mrs. Stephanie organized a tremendous sock drive to help the local shelter and bring awareness to the children of donation and helping of others. I absolutely love The Goddard School! My children come home daily telling me about what a great day they had! The teachers there treat my children as their own and that makes this mommy very happy! AnnMarie is very sweet and loving towards my kids, everyday they make sure to stop by the office to give her a hug goodbye and reassure her that they will see her tomorrow! It makes my heart happy to know my children feel so loved when I can't be with them! This is our 3rd day care and by far the best, no plans on leaving till my kids are to old to go! I registered my two boys at The Goddard School back in November 2018. My son is 5 and my other son is 1. I wasn't fully satisfied with my current daycare and when they did not have room for my youngest son I thought this was an opportunity to maybe find a better school. I am so glad that I did! This school is amazing! It's more like a family than a facility or daycare! As stated before,the two teachers that I have the most contact with was Ms. Nighat and Ms. La'nekka. Ms. Nighat is my five-year-olds teacher and her curriculum for her students is above average. My child is most definitely being prepped for kindergarten and will be more than ready when that time comes. She provides structure, she makes learning fun and treats the children as if they belong to her. I can't speak of her more highly! She is awesome! Ms. La'Nekka is the lead teacher in my 1 year old's class and is super sweet and nurturing! My little one just adores her! There are a lot of daycares in this area, but if you don't choose The Goddard School you're not choosing the best! read more

This school (The Goddard- Richmond, Tx) does not live up to the promise. Their teachers reprimand the students very loudly in front of the entire classroom and to the parents directly. The teacher would reprimand my 5 year old child every morning when I dropped him off. He would go in very happy, but his mood would immediately change as soon as she started belittling him. That is very difficult for a 5 year old to bounce back from. Even after I asked for them to call me with concerns, they still did not, but they wanted to take away his weekly activities. The other teacher made derogatory comments about him. She called him "weird", among other things while he was within earshot. I requested that he never be in her classroom ever again. But somehow, they managed to have her watching him in the mornings before the other teacher arrived. I called the director to discuss my concerns and withdraw my child. She never called. This school also has exceptionally high teacher turnover rate. Considering the cost of tuition, I would expect a more stable staff. This school does not care about your children. My son started at The Goddard School in March of this year. He started out in the infant room. The teachers in that room were beyond excellent and are by no means the reason for the one star rating. My son turned a year old last month, around his birthday we got the notice that he was going to be transitioned to the "First Steps" room. On the notice it stated that transitioning was a part of life and if a child had difficulty with it, they would work with them to ease them into the transition. As soon as the transition started, I noticed an extreme change in my son. In his new room, they have a set nap time from 12-1:15 pm. Well my son is currently cutting several teeth, and as any parent that has had a teething child knows, they do not sleep very well at night. So having a 12 month old go from 5 am-12 pm with no nap is nothing more than a recipe for disaster. I was told several times that my son would try to go lay down in the morning, but they could not allow him to fall asleep since he would then not nap during the set nap time. Now if they wanted to be so strict on this new nap schedule, I would think that it would be a good idea to try and implement this well in advance of his transition so he could get accustomed to his new schedule. After all, he is only 12 months old. In addition to this, on his first day in his new room, I was told by his new teacher that my son liked to be held and they just weren't able to do that in the First Steps room because with the 2 teachers that were in there, one would be cleaning, while the other was changing diapers, so there was no one to hold any of the babies. Each day that I picked him up, I was told that he was upset most of the day, so with them not holding my son leads me to believe that my son was left to cry on the floor most of the day. The behavior changes that we saw in my son after his transition were extreme. Gone was my happy and smiling child. We now had a child that screamed and held onto us for dear life at drop off. Gone were the daily photos of my son's smiling face. We now received photos that showed him either crying, or photos of him looking miserable. We made the abrupt decision to look into a new daycare on Thursday. I sent the director and owner and email informing them that Friday would be my sons last day. The response I received stated the same cookie cutter response that "transitions are hard for some children" Well my son started his new daycare yesterday, and had no problems at all. So clearly he has no issues with transitioning since I was able to TRANSITION him to an entirely new facility and this school couldn't even move him rooms without incident. He only had an issue with the First Steps room. I have no idea what happened in that room. All I know is that my son HATED being in there for some reason or another and he has never acted like that. read more

The Goddard School in Long Meadow Farms is amazing. The curriculum they use as well as all the other extra curricular activities are wonderful. Between the music, Spanish, soccer shots, field trips to the Senior Living center and much more. I cant say enough good things about this school. I have had first hand experience with Mrs. Stephanie in the Pre K room and she is awesome. The activities she does with all the children and the way she prepares them for Kindergarten is top notch. The Goddard school would be my first choice when looking for a daycare/school for my children. read more

I absolutely recommend this school! We all worry about dropping our babies off, especially for the first time. However this school has safety features in place that would calm even the most nervous minds, not to mention it's clean and well maintained. You need a pin code and a hand print to get past the front door, which also has a staff member present to greet you as you come in. If an incident happens or your kid gets hurt they are diligent about letting you know immediately. My child stuck a bead up his nose and a tornado hit while we attended Goddard, both situations were handled with expert care. The teachers are fantastic as well, my son had Ms Stephanie and you can really tell she loves the kids and her job. Throughout the day you get reports and pictures of your kid so you feel like you're still a part of their life even though you aren't there. I wouldn't hesitate for a moment taking my child to Goddard, in fact it was a little sad to leave for kindergarten. read more

I absolutely love the Long Meadows Farm Goddard location, Ms. Nighat and Ms. NIVEDITA are great with my son. This location offers a large variety of additional bonuses to their curriculum like music class, gym and optional additional activities like dance, soccer and other sports. The staff also make it great!! They are great communicators, and keep you very well informed. Overall I have had wonderful experiences with Long Meadows Farm Goddard. I unfortunately ignored the signs of unprofessionalism because I'd heard great things about the whole Goddard name. Let's just say, all ARE NOT the same. The level that the director and owner will go to when they feel that you are leaving is outrageous! They had my little one for the better part of a year. They called me almost weekly with boo-boo reports that occurred at school because he was extremely rambunctious (as most 3 year olds are). It wasn't until he received yet ANOTHER bump on his head and of course NO ONE knew how it got there, I decided that he was better off not there and somewhere with cameras. Upon hearing that we were leaving, they stooped to desperately low measures. So yeah, this place will NEVER get any business from me or ANYONE THAT I KNOW. I'm absolutely disgusted by this place and it's so sad to be that ignorant in handling family affairs. Losing business should never make ANYONE stoop so low. So sad. RUN DONT WALK AWAY FROM THIS SCHOOL!!! I was a bit hesitant to send my son after meeting with the director but I enrolled him against my better judgement. The owner Ms. Tamkeen and the director Ms. Annmarie are only in this business for the money. After one week of summer camp my son fell ill and was unable to attend camp for the next few weeks. It was my understanding after touring the school that I pay for the weeks my son attends camp. But I was miss informed. I was also not informed of an option to pay my bills online. I asked Ms. Annmarie on the phone as well as in person on my son's first day but she just asked for my credit card and took the payment at the school. I had a situation in which I was unaware of a payment that needed to be made for the days my son didn't attend. Ms. Tamkeen calls my husband and says we need to make a payment and got upset because my husband didn't make the payment and asked for more details about the bill. Ms. Tamkeen says to my husband that she will send the bill to a collection agency when the bill was not even 30 days past due. In order to resolve the problem my husband went to the school where Ms. Annmarie didn't want to entertain any questions and went so far as to say that people who have jobs want to place their kids in this school!!!!! I called the school to ask for the bill, Ms. Annmarie said she will email it and when I tried to ask more details she accused me of arguing with her and hung up the phone. I never did get the bill in my email. My husband and I both sent emails to the owner asking for the bill and got no reply. So, I had to call their corporate office and explain the situation including the immature behavior of the school director. After calling corporate I received a bill in my email and had a few back and forth emails with the owner. They finally decided to inform me that I can pay my bill online on something called family connect where I did pay the bill. Had I known about the ability to see my bill and pay online this situation would not have occurred. I called corporate again asking Goddard school to formally apologize for the discriminatory behavior and I am still waiting for the apology. I can understand being upset but humiliating my husband in public and shutting down all forms of communication when we are making every attempt to resolve it is not acceptable, specially when you are responsible for educating our kids. What's surprising is that the Goddard corporation has not contacted me for an apology which tells me they support the actions of the owner and director!!!! If these are the values Goddard supports I can only imagen what they are teaching our children. All in all..... Stay AWAY from this school. I am now looking at a Montassory school for my son... I'm sure he will be much happier there. It's ok to pay a little more and send your child to a school that is focused on providing quality education. read more

My son has attended Goddard since 2015 and I am glad we made the switch. He learns so much at this school and their curriculum is amazing. Every day I pick him up, he goes over the weather pattern with me. He just turned 3 last week and is able to have an advanced conversation on weather patterns, among many other topics. The love and care that he receives from his teachers is unmatched compared to other schools we first tried out. From Ms. Petress, Ms. Colleen, to Ms. Zoey and Ms. Cynthia, we could not ask for better teachers for our son!
