This is a nice LITTLE donut shop for South enders. Considering the only other two Donut Shops around are chains ( DD/ Honeydew), you could say this is the Ma's Donuts of the South End. Price point is high however. No tables to sit at, just a bar facing the wall which usually has an employee sitting on one of Only three stools. Period. So if you want to eat there be prepared to look at the wall or turn your stool around to look outside, and don't expect to use the restrooms because they are perpetually out of order. I've never once seen them functioning. Should be illegal but maybe thats why they have so few "seats". read more

Quiet little place but don't let that fool you. These people are making the real deal in regards to donut goodness. The glazed are soft and doughy - they also make these creme filled glazed that blew me away. Their branding is kinda lame but that's what made me stop in and check them out. Excellent West coast style donuts!!! Picked up a half dozen while in the area and I was pleasantly surprised to walk in and see the "Old Fashioned" donuts that I have only had in California. The Old Fashioned was exactly what I had remembered, perfectly fried with a heavy glaze, split around the edges and moist on the inside. The chocolate covered was a pillowy soft yeast donut with a nicely balanced Chocolate dip, not too sweet. The Glazed donut was also pillowy soft with the right amount of glaze where it doesn't make a mess when you eat it. I appreciate a donut that can be eaten in the car without making a mess. The staff was very friendly and that is always appreciated. If these donuts came in a pink box you would swear they came straight from the West Coast. Best donuts ever. My husband and I love them so much that we ordered 24 dozen donuts for our wedding reception. We toured several donut shops in New Bedford and found these to be the most delicious. The folks at the shop were so kind and helpful in making our order. Our guests (many of whom are donut aficionados) could NOT stop talking about how incredible the donuts were. They have the absolute perfect texture and consistency, and the flavor is out of this world. On a scale between 1 and 10 with Dunkin being a 2 and Blackbird Donuts in Boston being a 10, this shop gets 8 points from me. If you factor In price they outperform Blackbird. Stopped inside today for the first time . The woman behind the register was super friendly. It was her and another man in the back. They stated the card machine wasn't working. I went and grabbed cash and came back . They were apologetic and thankful I came back with cash. I then ordered 2 linguica rolls , 1 glazed donut , 1 apple fritter and and large iced coffee. It came out to a little over 20 which is actually pretty reasonable. The donut and apple fritter were hands down the best tasting I've ever had. The donut was fluffy and the glazed had a slightly different taste to it from any other glazed donut I've had. As well with the apple fritter. The linguica rolls were didn't give me the same feeling but they were still good as well . The iced coffee good and there was a decent amount of flavors to choose from. Overall the customer service was great ,donuts are top tier and actually made fresh daily , and the breakfast sandwiches are made with real eggs / meat.
