I waited until the one-year mark to leave this review because I wanted to give my body enough time…read moreto fully heal and settle before speaking on my final results. Unfortunately, I am very disappointed with the outcome of my breast augmentation and with the level of follow-up support afterward. I had surgery on May 5, 2025. Around 4-5 months post-op, I began noticing significant asymmetry developing. By the time I returned for my follow-up appointment in September, the issue had already become very noticeable. At this point, I developed capsular contracture on my left side, causing the breast to feel hard, tight, and unnatural. On the right side, the implant dropped significantly lower than the left, creating visible asymmetry and uneven nipple positioning. I also experienced poor scar healing around my right areola, with the scar remaining thick, raised, and persistently itchy nearly a year later. To be fair, Dr. Kosins did acknowledge the asymmetry during my September appointment, discussed revision options with me, and his office provided information regarding the Allergan warranty coverage. I understand capsular contracture is a known risk of breast augmentation surgery and not necessarily the result of negligence. However, what left me disappointed was the lack of continued follow-up and support afterward. After the initial discussion regarding revision options and warranty information, there was no further outreach, follow-up phone call, scheduling assistance for next steps, or even scheduling of my one-year post-op appointment/check-in. As a patient navigating an upsetting complication less than a year after surgery, that absence of communication left me feeling unsupported and alone in the process. I never expected perfection, and I understand complications can happen with any surgery. But when complications do occur, communication, reassurance, and aftercare matter just as much as the surgery itself. Patients deserve to know not only how successful outcomes are handled, but also how they are supported when results do not go as planned.

I'm 68 years old. For years I struggled with breathing problems and sleep apnea. I used CPAP but…read morewas tired of being sick and tired. At 66, I had my first rhinoplasty. The surgeon was a triple board-certified plastic surgeon I had known for over 30 years. I trusted him and believed I was in excellent hands. The result was terrible. My breathing worsened and my nose looked unnatural. I lived with that outcome for over two years, trying to rationalize it, but I couldn't. This was my face. It affects how I breathe, how I sleep, and how I feel every day. So I did serious research. What I learned changed everything. Rhinoplasty is not just cosmetic. The nose must function. We are meant to breathe through our noses. When the structure is weakened or obstructed, airflow is compromised. Air must move freely when you inhale and exhale. The internal support has to remain stable so the airway does not collapse. Without that support, you mouth breathe, wake up tired, and constantly feel like you're not getting enough air. I experienced all of it. My research led me to Dr. Aaron Kosins in Newport Beach. Because mine was a revision case -- after my nasal bones had been broken in the first surgery -- preservation rhinoplasty was no longer available to me. I had missed the boat. Preservation rhinoplasty reshapes and repositions the natural structures of the nose instead of aggressively "hammering down" the bridge and rebuilding it from scratch. Dr. Kosins is one of the pioneers in using ultrasonic piezo instrumentation to precisely sculpt nasal bone rather than manually breaking it. This allows refinement of what a patient is born with while improving both appearance and function. Due to the prior damage, significant reconstruction was required, including cartilage taken from my own rib to rebuild and properly support my nose. If I could give one piece of advice: only do a piezo surgery! Dr. Kosins is widely regarded by his peers as a world expert in rhinoplasty, including preservation techniques and complex structural revision cases. Many established surgeons seek out his workshops and cadaver labs to refine advanced techniques. He has the rare ability to communicate directly, thoughtfully, and sincerely. From the first meeting, I knew I was finally in the right hands. And then came the result. It was a knockout. My breathing is excellent. Air moves freely through both sides of my nose when I inhale and exhale. There is no resistance, no collapse, no struggle to get enough air in or out. For the first time in years, breathing feels effortless. Cosmetically, my nose looks natural and balanced -- not artificial or overdone. I also want to acknowledge his team. Risa, the practice manager, was accessible and organized throughout the process. Judy was BEYOND amazing!!! After surgery she called and texted us multiple times a day, every single day, making sure I was doing well. We also had direct access to Dr. Kosins whenever we needed him. I never felt alone or uncertain. Choosing Dr. Aaron Kosins and his team made a major difference in my life, and I am extremely grateful.

He took the time to thoroughly explain every step of the process and made sure I felt confident and comfortable with my decisions. He performed my breast implant removal with capsulectomy, a breast lift, and a rhinoplasty. The results are beyond anything I could have imagined. His work is natural, beautifully balanced, and incredibly precise. I feel like the best version of myself, refreshed, proportional, and confident without looking overdone. The recovery process was smooth, and his team was just as attentive and supportive as he was. Every question I had was answered promptly, and I always felt like I was in expert hands. I'd like to comment on how professional, knowledgeable and caring everyone at his surgery center was, which is in the same building as Dr. Ip's office. I felt so safe and well taken care of. Dr. Ip's skill, artistry, and attention to detail truly set him apart. I am so grateful for his talent and care, and I would recommend him without hesitation to anyone considering surgery. He did a phenomenal job, and I couldn't be more happier with my results. Evelyn, Huntington Beach, CA

Dr. Shamoun is direct and a straight shooter - but he is also incredibly caring and kind. He doesn't beat around the bush or sugar coat his answers but he truly explains and provides so much valuable honesty and knowledge. He took me in as a patient and he performed my revision. Upon my cast removal, I was truly floored at the result at just 1 week post op. On top of my amazing experience and results, his partner and front of office, Yvonne was amazing through the process. She worked with me closely and helped me through many of my back end questions. Thank you to Dr. Shamoun & Yvonne for listening and caring for me. I can't wait for my next appointment.

He even handled my court case and made $15,000 off of that which we lost the case and we are in debt from all of my nose surgeries. I had emailed him about an estimate for my nose, it was around $30,000. I had my consultation once again after the waited time period, we talked about fixing the holes (dents in my nose from missing cartilage), and fixing the irregularities. I booked the non refundable deposit of $1,000 after meeting with him and scheduled the surgery thinking the quote would similar to what he quoted me on email. The receptionist (I can't say names on yelp), sent me a quote of $187,050. I was floored. I lost the deposit money and we can't afford almost $200,000 for a nose job. I am filled with so many questions of why? Where did we get so lost? My emails are ignored now. I lost the money to the lawyer to the last surgeon who botched me, we're in debt from 4 surgeries that botched me, and I put all my eggs in one basket as to the hope for him to fix me for good. We can't even get a loan for $200,000. I'm really down and absolutely shocked that he said he would help me, but surprised me with a price tag that's insurmountable for what we can afford. It's saddening. My hope is gone for surgeons. They're greedy and money hungry. I hope this review gets him to read what emotional toll this has taken on me, and to think before you charge a patient $200,000 to fix irregularities on their nose. I'm no millionaire or billionaire, I'm a mom raising a toddler who has had a really hard time looking in the mirror. I wish he would have kept his word. Only God will judge us at the end as to how we treated those in need of help but couldn't afford a quarter million dollars to get it.

However PLEASE trust me (and everyone else) and pay the $250 consultation fee and move forward with confidence. Dr. Sepehr is a highly awarded (from his undergrad days to present day), nationally recognized surgeon whose reputation is clearly reflected in every part of the experience. From the moment you walk into his immaculate office, you're seen promptly and treated with genuine care. Every concern is thoughtfully addressed, and the focus is always on achieving the best possible outcome - - - often better than you even imagined. His team is exceptional. The assistants and reception staff are attentive, knowledgeable, and responsive. Questions are answered thoroughly, appointments are handled seamlessly, and communication is refreshingly personal - - real people, clear messages, no automated runaround. The surgery itself was as smooth as it gets, performed at a top-tier surgical center. You meet your anesthesiologist ahead of time and are supported by an outstanding nursing staff who clearly prioritize patient comfort and safety. Post-operative care is where Dr. Sepehr truly stands apart. Follow-up is comprehensive, with multiple check-ins and direct, 24/7 access to Dr. Sepehr if needed. I experienced zero complications and always felt fully supported. You will see him many, many times over the course of a year for post-op care. The results were outstanding. I paid approximately $24,000 (including surgery center and anesthesiologist fees), and it was absolutely worth it for the peace of mind that comes with being treated by a top 0.1% surgeon and an equally elite team. Thank you, Dr. S and team - - exceptional work from start to finish.
