Just so good, unbeatable prices and awesome options for every persons preferences. The staff are super kind and I love the little service windows. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is the definition of summer.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Inexpensive ice cream with a generous serving! Oreo flurry was top tier and better than McDonald's McFlurry!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Dairy Kastle is as classic as it gets.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Simple menu with some fun twists (no pun intended), quick service, [[HIGHLIGHT]]great old school vibe[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's a handful of picnic tables outside to sit and enjoy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They also now accept card!

To be fair, my rating is based on their food mostly. I did not try the ice cream, which I believe they are better known for. My chili dog was just OK. Could be much better with options like onions, slaw, relish. Chips were Lays products purchased at Costco. The service was good, and you eat outside on tables. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior of the restaurant looked a little dirty.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We popped in for an ice cream treat when there was no line. Which is a rarity. We were splitting a pineapple sundae. Once I ordered the girl ask if I wanted, whipped cream, nuts and a cherry. I would have thought those items were standard on a sundae, but that is not the case. I think a small sundae is about $3.50, which would have been reasonable. But my sundae came to $6.14 due to an uncharge of $1 for whipped cream, $1 for nuts, and50 cents for a cherry. With $1 tip, my bill was $7.14. A bit extravagant for a small sundae. I will say it was good but not worth that. I also take some responsibility for not checking to see what was included, but they should tell you that, in my opinion. Parking can be an issue, but there are several tables to eat on the premises. If i had brought my own whipped cream and nuts and I would have given it a 5 star rating

My husband's grandpa and grandma speak so highly of this place. They used to come on dates here all the time. We've driven by it a bunch of times, and we finally were able to stop in. It was a really special visit for us! This place's ability to stand the test of time is a testament to its quality! We waited in line for a little bit (a long line is another good sign!), but the staff was super efficient and got people moving pretty quickly. I got some sugar-free butter pecan that I really enjoyed. My husband got a chocolate dipped cone that he also really enjoyed. The locale is so cute and inviting! It really makes you want to stop in. They have some dedicated parking, plus some street parking pretty close by. Heads up though, they are cash only. We loved our visit here, we can't wait to come back when we're in the area. Highly recommend!

I stumbled upon this local ice cream joint while looking for a sweet treat because of the warmer weather. I arrived around 4pm on a Sunday, and there was already a semi long line. I waited probably 25 minutes to get to the window to order as there's only one cashier, and their POS system was down for a bit. But the soft serve was worth the wait. Good thing is they accept credit card now because I had no cash on me.

However, I have already returned once after my initial visit and am sure that my husband and I will be frequent flyers. The ambiance is sports bar with (unless I miscounted) 33 large TVs, the bar, garage doors that open to the outside patio where 4-legged friends are welcome, friendly and efficient service, and best of all, they support the Kentucky Humane Society. Oh, and that tagline though- "Sit. Stay. Eat." Despite the sports bar ambiance, it is definitely child/family friendly. On both my visits (lunch time) there were many families enjoying their lunch. The menu is expansive with the burgers and hot dogs being the main call, but also includes, wings, sandwiches, pizza, and so much more. I opted for the 'breakfast burger' which included the burger, cheese, onions, bacon, and a fried egg. Honestly, one of the best burgers I have had in a long time. I substituted green beans for the included fries, which I often do when eating out. Typically, I end up with a small bowl of what is akin to baby-food vegetables! Not the case here. The green beans were whole and perfectly cooked with a mild crunch and had a delicious seasoning. Talk about being pleasantly surprised. Folks, this is not your 'typical' bar food! This stray dog will definitely return, and I may get a microchip that reads "return to Double Dogs if found."

We shared all the food: buñuelos, patacón ( it looked like tostones topped with guacamole and different meats), arepa de carne, and sides of frijoles and rice. The sides were large too! The restaurant opens the side doors to let fresh air in on a sunny day which is amazing if you don't want to sweat in the sun but still want to feel a nice breeze. Even before we were seated, I noticed a server wearing a green bandanna speaking to another employee, who we later learned was the manager on duty, in a way that seemed unprofessional and unfriendly. After we were seated, my wife asked if we could move because she was cold. We then waited about 15 minutes before anyone came to our table. When our server finally arrived, she acted like she didn't want to be there. My wife asked for a recommendation, but the response was vague and unhelpful. Our drink order was wrong. My wife and I ordered waters, and our son ordered a Sprite, but we received two lemonades and one water instead. After taking our order, our server disappeared. She never brought our food, checked on us, asked if we needed refills, or stopped by the table again. The manager walked past our table several times but never seemed interested in checking on our experience. The biggest issue was my son's meal. He ordered chicken sliders with the sauce on the side, but they arrived covered in sauce. Another employee took the meal back to be remade, but it came back wrong a second time. By then, my wife and I had already finished eating, and our son had been waiting nearly an hour without a proper meal. When I spoke with the manager, I asked that my son's meal be removed from the bill. Instead of taking responsibility and apologizing, the manager offered excuses rather than solutions. Mistakes can happen, but it's how they're handled that matters. Unfortunately, the customer service from both our server and the manager was disappointing. We left frustrated, and based on this experience, we will not be returning to this location.
