Which, made me leave him a cash tip as I love jazz. It is fair to say, that we had a phenomenal experience based on how well we were treated by our server who was a recent transplant from out of state and even the U.S. as she shared her story with us which was very much so moving and compelling. Unique flavors and preparations artfully presented with wonderful wine pairings. Each course was phenomenal and had over a dozen diners doing the requisite "ooooh" and "ahhhh". However, if I was forced to commit to the standout items for me, it would be: (1) the delectable pork collar that defied comprehension with how it had a sweet crunchy exterior bark yet maintained a moist and tender bite as we dug in, (2) the soft shell stuffed crab on a bed of just perfect mustard greens with a crunchy texture, (3) dessert that mimicked a cloud and included coffee "gummies" and also was paired with a delicious sherry that held its own. I felt like I needed a cigarette after this meal. I don't smoke. It was That Mind Blowing. These collaboration dinners will be held for at least the next 2 months. It was served warm, had a great texture and a light maple flavor. With our meals, we could get two sides. We requested the collard greens, green beans, fries, grits and mac & cheese. But instead, though the grits maybe had cheese, they were also loaded with loads of diced jalapeno. They were so over the top spicy, none of us could eat the grits. The biscuits were tasty, but unfortunately, because they contained too much shortening, fell apart when buttering them. And that leads up to the service lapse. After we received our check, our server completely disappeared. We waited a half hour for her to re-appear, gave up and asked another server to cash us out. He disappeared and we waited some more.
