If you are craving a hotdog or a hamburger in any combination, you should visit Double Dogs located on Shelbyville Rd near the I-265 exchange in Middletown, KY. This establishment is essentially a large semi-open air sports bar featuring televised events all over in 30+ big screens. If it's televised, they have it on! The menu has hamburgers and hotdogs in so many ways it is mind-boggling. I got the Breakfast Burger that included a fried egg with a side of home-made onion rings. The 'BOMB". Double Dogs has re-written 'bar food'. The cost is quite competitive with nearby chains in the area and features quality definitely a step above. If you are so inclined there is also a plethora of local draft beers on tap. BTW: Dogs are welcomed so bring your furry friends.

Good place for lunch. Private parking. Good for groups. Good location shopping nearby.

Plenty of parking around the entire building. The front entrance is on what looks to be the side of the building. It's almost like a sports bar. A large bar area and lots of big TVs around that had sports playing. Neat atmosphere. Our waitress was attentive and came around often. We were never without drinks or anything. The breakfast hot dog was messy and hard eat. Very good flavors and I think it was a beef dog which made it even better but wish they would have cut the hot dog in half to make it a bit easier. They do not have the best fries. The melted cheese on them was pretty flavorless as well. I'd go again and get another hot dog. I would suggest they cut the hot dog to make it easier to eat.

Ambiance was modern and sports bar. We had JP as our server and he was very nice! Very attentive to replacing waters and removing plates/cups. I got the bacon bbq cheeseburger and it's was very good! Good portion and large QTY of fries. Would come back!

Such a cool place. SIT. STAY. EAT. that's some cute word play. Walking in there's a portrait of the two founding dogs and inside more and more doggie decor. All the popular sports figures are drawn into cartoon dogs. It's a really nice sports bar, lots of options on draft. Long happy hour and daily drink specials. Brendan our server was amazing. So attentive. I was very impressed when he asked how my friend wanted his egg cook on his burger. I'm very particular about my eggs and I've had bad experiences ordering egg on my burger. I ordered the spicy bread as an appetizer. Then decided to try the Buffalo chicken Mac and cheese too. Everything was delicious.

We wanted to take our Granddaughter out for lunch and this was the place she recommended. So glad she did as the food and service was excellent. Our server, Kelsey took outstanding care of everything we ordered. I got the Soup of the day, Hopin John, a Bluecheese Burger and a Kentucky Bourbon Ale. My Granddaughter got Mac n Cheese and my wife got the Soup n Salad lunch special. Everything was delicious, hot and fresh. They have huge TV screens on the walls and I'll come back here for some ball games

We discovered Double Dogs last February when heading south through Bowling Green Kentucky. We liked it so much we planned our return to stop there again. I was pleased to learn there are multiple locations and on a last trip, we found there was a Double Dogs in Louisville. This location is in a strip shopping center and seemed a bit smaller than the one in Bowling Green. Fast forward - size doesn't matter and this location was just as outstanding! Our standard order has become Gene's Crunchy wings which are double fried and unbelievably good, hand tossed chicken fingers and homemade onion rings. I could not detect a bit of difference and our enjoyment equaled our previous visits at the Bowling Green location. Service was "as good as it could be" before and it was just as good at this visit. Only regrets are I would love to try other menu items but we're in an area where we can go to Double Dogs only 2-3 times a year. That infrequency breeds cravings for the double crunch wings and fingers. Often you will see a difference when a restaurant has several locations. We haven't detected any. Kudos to management for making it so!

Double Dogs continues to be a winner for my family of 4, especially when it comes to burger and fries. We've returned periodically since my last review and it's consistently good, plus we almost always are seated right away and greeted by our server. My favorite burger is the bacon cheeseburger with fries. Lots of beers on tap if you'd prefer something more than soda. The patio stays busy here. Some seats are available directly at the bar. Watch out so that you don't step on any paws!

The wings were so good! Big, gigantic wings! The breakfast burger was good, though I forgot to ask for the egg to be fried hard. ‍The bacon was delightful! Service was good. I was seated right away. Highly recommend!

Food was the blandest I've had in years, weird vibe amongst the staff, genuinely unpleasant experience. $100+ dollars for garbage food.

Other diners chose the Pina colada and also a Friday cocktail special of Holy Water, which included blue curaçao. Feedback was mixed. We started with 1/2 pound of hot and spicy peel and eat shrimp and a dozen oysters. Great preparation and taste. It was apparently all so good and we had such a great time that we forgot to take photos of the food. We shared steamer bowls and a captain's platter. This allowed for a variety of crab legs, steamed oysters, sausages, corn, red potatoes, garlic Parmesan bread, shrimp, grouper, onion rings, clam strips, along with butter, tartar sauce, and cocktail sauce. We had arrived famished and we all left satiated and carrying out To Go boxes. Our server was fantastic, helping us relocate inside when the storm popped up, and very attentive through our entire visit. Looking forward to future visits and more great seafood.

What else was great was that we were sitting across from Ralph, who has been studying the game and now we know, he's an expert. Our server tonight was Clay and let me tell you, he did a great job. He had a lot of energy and never slowed down all night. He went around and got our drink orders and our appetizer orders. They have Happy Hours from 3:00 until 6:00, so we all rushed in to get there before it was over. They have appetizers from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. The prices range from $3.00 - $6.00. There are also Happy Hours prices on some drinks. Check their app for details. We looked over our menus and they had quite a bit of choices. Both kinds of Wings, a variety of Chicken, many types of Burgers , and Salads that were really fresh. I had a Patty Melt on Toast. It had Swiss and American cheese, Bacon and 2 Smashed Hamburger patties. I had them leave off the onions. I loved the burger. I chose the side salad. It was so delicious. My husband had the All American Burger. He thought it was really good. He chose Onion Rings as his side. Looking around the table, a lot of people chose Hamburgers, Wings, Cheese and Dip. We really had a great time and I have to brag on Clay one more time. He did the best job with taking care of 13 people at our table plus a pretty good amount of people at the tables behind us. We also want to thank their GM, Tina Suddeth, for being a Big Supporter of Swan Pointe.

Now to the food....idk if it's because there's so many amazing chicken places out now or if the food has really went downhill since when I first visited a BW3; but, it was mediocre at best. We ordered the ultimate nachos and they tasted like generic tortillas you would get at a gas station. Not impressed at all. They did have a pickle hot pepper that was very tasty. I ordered the Crispy Buffalo Chicken Salad and it was ok. It all came down to the chicken. It just wasn't that great. The girls got boneless wings they didn't eat a lot. I don't like the feeling of paying $70+ for three people feeling like we couldn't went through a drive thru and had tastier food. The 3 stars are for the atmosphere and the service which was great.
