The employees who were there were helpful and hard working. They just needed more of them. I go in an average Chick-fil-A, and they have an abundance of employees and offer top-notch, fast service. I go in an average Dairy Queen, and they're usually short handed and have slow service. We didn't use them, but my wife noticed that they have a lounging area with couches. Nice touch! The sink in the men's restroom was out of order. It seems like in a case such as that, it would be a nice gesture on the part of management to grab a bottle of hand sanitizer (cheap and available everywhere) and stick on the counter for guests while the sink is unavailable. And one has to wonder--with a sign on the wall instructing employees how to wash their hands--are the male employees even washing their hands since there's no option for them to do so? On top of that, the restroom was pretty dirty. Urine from 500 different people melded together on the floor under the urinal such that you can't help but stand in it while you take care of business. Food wasn't very good and we literally sat in the drive through line for more than 30 mins! This is a bit much!

Our food took 45 mins to come out. It sat ok the pass for 15!l mins. Then one meal was short a steak finger. Would not recommend this place.

Thought this was the "better" DQ in Abilene. Turns out that's wrong! Ordered the most basic thing - Vanilla cone with rainbow sprinkles. They don't even have sprinkles! My next thing in my order was a chocolate vanilla twist. They don't have chocolate ice cream! Blizzards were just blended vanilla ice cream with zero toppings. To make this whole experience top notch. As they were attempting to make our order we overheard them say we need more ice cream. Save yourself the trip and go to Braum's or buy a gallon ice cream at Walmart. read more

Stopped by driving thru Abilene and CFA was closed and Canes was packed. Came to DQ with low expectations and was pleasantly surprised. The staff was clean cut and professional. Service was quick and the restaurant was clean. The food was tasty and we ate all of it. read more

Couldn't leave stars blank for terrible food. I ordered meal thru Favor. I ordered the 6 pc chicken strip basket & a peanut buster parfeit. No where on the menu does it say spicy chicken, which is what I got. I could only eat 2 of them. Also on the parfeit, they are really stingy on the peanuts. read more

Food is good but the drive in was slow. I would have had better luck going inside. No one in line and I had to wait longer than normal to get my dude. Saw the workers looking at their phone...no wonder service was slow. Also had to wait a few minutes before ordering. If there was another DQ close by that was faster....I would go there. Confirmed by other reviews: this DQ has the worst Drive Thru! Scenario #1: Order food and blizzards, drive up to window, pay, get blizzards, wait 7 minutes, employee tells you to pull forward and food will be out shortly, wait 13 more minutes, blizzards melting, another 2 minutes, food comes out, drive away angry. Scenario #2: Order food and blizzards, drive up to window, pay, wait 4 minutes, employee tells you to pull forward and food and blizzards will be out shortly, wait 19 minutes, food and blizzards come out, drive away angry, get home, open up food to eat, wrong order. read more

Ordered a small Cookie dough Blizzard and there were only about 6 Cookie dough pieces and there should have been chocolate mixed in with the vanilla ice cream and there wasn't. I would not recommend this location. read more

No masks. Didn't see it until I paid. No one preparing the food wore a mask. This is a college town. Kids who are super spreaders were fixing the food. This is not safe and they didn' care. State law requires the masks. The manager put a mask on one ear after we complained. I asked for my receipt which he would not give me until the food was ready. He was angry I complained. During the middle of COVID-19, the store is only able to serve customers at the drive-thru. With no one to worry about in the lobby, they STILL can't seem to get the line moving. Literally took 20 minutes. Staff up, keep the line moving, and volume will make up your labor cost. Also, the drive-thru sign is not lit up at night making it nearly impossible to read. This location really needs to get their act together. This is inexcusable. read more

Okay--it's a Dairy Queen with a room that looks like it's a coffee shop with sofas. Good idea since the college is rightthere. Service was really slow, but the line was literally out the door. I love DQ, however, this is the worst DQ in West Texas. 30 minutes to get 2 hamburgers and 2 orders of chicken strips. When we asked what he hold up was we were told they had to make fresh patties for us. What does that even mean? There was 1 family of 2 a head of us. read more

This was very dirty when I visited yesterday. Was traveling and wanted the Pumpkin Pie Blizzard, left out one of the key ingredients (nutmeg), which left me sad and disappointed. But more important, this place is not clean. Couldn't find a clean table. The bathroom was very dirty with non-working urinal, very soiled floor with missing floor tiles around a floor drain. Terrible ! I ordered a number # 1 and they charged me $7.42 and i said how is it that??? it should be $7.13 he said ummmm i don't know tax!?!?!!! I said nope ... he pushed a large... an dgot manager to correct it ...gave him $10.25 in cash and got back $2.12.... I stopped off of the freeway to get something to go. Steak finger basket. The steak fingers were hot and very good The gravy was hot and also very good. The toast was toasted just right. The fries were hot and freshly cooked. . All in all the food was very good. Service was friendly and fast. If I get by this DQ again I will stop off. read more
